Interesting thoughts. I agree. Pixel is Google's way to showcase what Android can do. I have used both iPhone (upto and including the 15 Pro), Samsung and OnePlus. Always go back to the Pixel. Looking forward to a compact pro. The only gripe I have is the inability to customise the homescreen as much as for example Samsung. I'm not a power user so don't care too much about specs. If the pixel 9 pro isn't too big, I think it may be the perfect phone for me! Thanks for the video
Yea something I didn’t touch on is how it feels like Google plays favorites with Samsung & they get special privilege. Not surprising since they’re a huge Android phone manufacturer but sometimes it feels like they get more love than their own Pixel phones I can’t wait for the Pixel 9 either, looking forward to the compact Pro model too Thanks for the comment 🙌🏼
I believe they made a huge mistake changing the name from Nexus to pixel. It basically says that this is not a serious phone but more just a serious camera phone, Yes Nexus had a very small market share like pixel but many nexus fans moved on, many over to OnePlus. Google could have taken control of the hardware and upped their camera game but the name didn't need to be changed.
It’s true, changing a name and/or branding comes with its challenges like losing a reputation and recognition you once had. But, do you think Nexus would’ve been a fitting name for the current line of Pixel? The mission with Pixel is different than the Nexus so maybe they felt it was needed? I don’t know 🤷🏽♂️
Gonna hold onto my 7 pro. Tbh, I miss the capacitive touch fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. I know this is subjective but I never once had any issues with unlocking. The under screen sensor, imo, is a gimmick. I don't even use mine on my 7 pro. Of the 3 Google phones I have owned,(2 XL, 4 XL, and 7 Pro) the 2 XL was my favorite. And yet I did not experience any screen burn-in issues. Call me nostalgic but it was my favorite phone. This is coming from a long time Samsung user dating back to the Epic 4G, up to the S8.
@nickelass427 hoping they do something special for the 10 year anniversary, it would be the perfect time to do so. Well probably start seeing leaks by like early 2025 🤣🤣
