I am still debating whether to switch to 9 pro fold or 9 pro XL. Are there any day to day benefits for using a regular user? I will be mainly using it for media consumption and reading. The 9 Pro seems to have better camera specs than fold. Will it make a huge difference in the camera quality?
I use a folding because I can take my work with my the regular phone won't run my office software (an EMR) but I can be anywhere with the fold. if you don't need that and aren't planing on using the big screen you're probably better off with the regular. that say I love the fold
I just cancelled my Fold order. I am in a dual mind. I definitely want to try the Folding phone, however, not sure how the low camera specs will work out. I am not a pro photographer and typically fine with point and click and edits. Is the Camera specs on Fold low as compared to the Pro XL? I am not worried about more zoom.
@@vishalwaghmare9523early reviews I've seen are saying it's the same cameras as the 9 pro and XL, just a different layout but I definitely want to see a full review. Jerryrig Everything did a teardown video already
Well, the cameras seem like they will be a little worse than the regular Pro XL, but if you are a heavy reader, the Fold is better. It may come down to that huge price spike for the Fold, though, unless you are a man of wealth. I would go with the Fold if you have the money, unless the cameras are more important to you. One more thing to consider is the better battery life on the Pro XL. Sounds like around 25% more for the Pro XL. It's a tough decision indeed, but I hope I helped a little! 🙂
It is actually an almost perfect device... except for the price. I will wait 6-12 months and hope that the price will be at around 1.3K which would be imo a good and fair price compared to its competitors. Thanks for your video!
Not sure where you are but in the UK the pre order price is £1700 but you get an extra £450 trade in from most networks, so that's down to £1250 straight away
It's not as hard as you think it is. Trust me, I was an Apple fanboy for about 15 years. Once I tried the Galaxy Z Fold and new Android devices, I did not go back to Apple.
I agree when you are switching to a Pixel it's not that hard...give it a few weeks to understand and appreciate the differences and you begin to appreciate what Google has accomplished. Just woke my iPhone 15 Pro Max and picked up a 7 Pro until my Fold arrives. @@alfreditoyalma
3 Things to do to leave Apple. 1. Go to a hypnotist and have them un-brainwash you from the Apple cult. 2. Go buy you a beautiful Android device. 3. Live free and enjoy .
I bought my pixel fold when it came out and I have the o so slightly scratches you can barely see on the top right corner Plus it's insured. Watching this video I doubt I would want to buy the new pixel fold I'm more of a fan of the dimension of the original front screen and I switched from the Samsung phone to the original pixel phone because I couldn't stand the narrow screen.
@@KJ-et2cg I've done some research, and if you like buying one of those magsafe style case you won't be able to find one that fits this new phone because they put the qi charger lower to the bottom of the phone; so there is no magsafe case for this phone in particular. The original pixel fold you can add a magsafe case to it. So for me it's a deal-breaker Plus getting a closer look to the dimensions you're getting pretty much the same real estate screen when the phone is open you just turn the phone sideways.
Thank you for helpful reviews. You're really one of the best reviewers out there. I got z fold 6. I would get oneplusopen if my carrier, att firstnet would activate it, but cannot. Can you make a post or video comparing pixel 9 fold camera to z fold 6 camera? Is it pointless to try and get a super camera on a foldable? OnePlus looks good but seems like it comes down to optical image stabilization. ln my hands OnePlus open is less robust for a shaky quick video grab of a toddler moment. But still relatively flawless for most uses. Z fold 6 camera was disappointing for a recent graduation ceremony with zoom from 50 ft away grainy. Thanks!
That's a good idea, comparing the Pixel 9 Fold camera to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, I myself am curious about the performance. I will try to make it happen, but it will be in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned to the channel and thanks for following us :)
i sweart the dumbest argument i keep hearing is the crease in the middle, its a folding phone it will always have a crease. Please bring something up that would make more sense
I wanted years to get my first fold phone (z fold 4). To me the prices just doesn't make sense to me paying over a 1500 for a phone. Just bought my zfold 4 recently on eBay for 500 which had 1tb of storage which was a deal I couldn't pass up. I'll buy the pixel fold 9 in about 2 to 3 years from now lol.
I love the design and AI features but the specs are just never up to snuff when it comes to Google. I think I'm going back to OnePlus and getting the Open. Still the best foldable in the US imo. Especially when price is factored in. My z fold 3 has been useful over the yrs but it's time.
3:27 well to me Gemini Live just looked like a worse version of ChatGPT 4o, from what I saw in the demo and me using GPT4o, 4o is way more fluent and freeflowing, natural sounding, and understands what I mean better
They use pro in the name and the price but midrange chip, very slow charging and lesser cameras than the much cheaper slab pro models. Doesn't sound very pro fold to me
I know! It's crazy that all these tech influencers are magically not reporting how terrible the specs are. You want me to pay almost $2,000 for a mid-range phone just because it folds in half! Just crazy.
Been an iPhone user since 2007. This phone looks sweet but man it’s hard to leave apple 😂 hopefully the iPhone flip will perfect this technology. No doubt apple is cooking something
Some people pay an arm and a leg to get a foldable phone and yet they or at least a lot of reviewers place such an importance to the size of cover screen saying one doesn't have to unfold it to use the phone. What? You don't say! Why would you get a foldable to begin with if you want to use the cover screen 90% plus of the time. To each his/her/whatever own I guess.
It's not, but I understand why you might be confused. Google mentioned it has a new 45W charger and it recommends using it, but the actual charging speeds are slower (21W).
It's a big upgrade from last year and a nice looking phone, but I'll be waiting for OnePlus open 2, I love mine but they NEED to do something about this huge/ugly camera bump.
I will get the new Pixel Pro Fold but after 6 months when the price drop and Pixel Pro Fold 2 will be getting ready to come out. I will never pay that high price just because it just got released. It will still be new to me 6 months from now.
So they use a large portion of ram for AI thats a subscription after a year? I simply can't support that business model and lets be honest who actually is gunna use image generation more than once or twice a year
@@ThomasTheTankEngine22 portion of the ram is dedicated to AI an while camera will utilize that part memory will be locked as you will not be able to access it if you ain't pay for a interesting feature i might use 3 times a week
@@NoidedStarChildThe locked RAM is for on-device AI, which doesn't require a subscription. There's no point in locking the RAM if the AI is done in the cloud.
@aemanabbas if I remember correctly, they said that the battery for the pixel 9 pro (and pro XL) was good for 24h+, but they said nothing about the battery life for the fold, so I'm also very concerned about that
@@nickthaskater I don't think so, the Google software has some cool features but we will get a lot of them on other android phones. In term of hardware, Google should get where Honor Magic V3 is now in five years.
$220 a year to be able to use something that you buy on the phone and Google sells it to you but you can’t use it until you fork over $220. What a perfect example of taking one step forward and two steps back Sincerely, pixel fold charging speeds
