Google Pixel's evolution is insane. I still believe that the Pixel 6 lineup is what started their momentum so damn well. I have a great feeling that the Pixel 10 is gonna exceed expectations and Apple is slowly running out of ideas and copying these ideas from Android for years to come.
Pixel user myself over here - there are two incredible things that the Apple ecosystem has that I wish the Pixel had, but may struggle getting for a while. Airtags and their wireless Magsafe implementation. Quite disappointed with where Google's Find My service is. I can't use the web browser for any of the Android tags plus no UWB support yet. My Chipolo tags often struggle establishing a connection. Kinda frustrating. Magsafe - especially the part where the NFC chip in them remembers what your "display preferences" are for that specific Magsafe charger. I'd love something like that on Android, but I'm sure it's locked away behind patents and IP rights here. 🤷
@@DaniyalMirzaDMmagsafe you can use a case. Me i wish pixel has better ecosystem with tablet and pixel book. Copying on a device and paste on other, screen sharing.... Samsung Xiaomi apple and oneplus did it
@@DaniyalMirzaDM I agree with you on the AirTags.. I use them with my iPad but I still keep pixel as my private phone. I wish they were open to all systems.
Gemini Advanced should be free on Pixel phones like how the old phones had unlimited photo storage. They need that extra something to be competitive with Apple and Samsung and charge the same price.
I'm seriously considering switching from iPhone to the Pixel, I've had iPhones since the 7th generation. It's about time for a change and I like the stock android experience a lot better.
No one is asking for AI features in 2024???? This is the dumbest thing I've read this week. RU-vid is the prime source for dumb comments, but yours wins the first place
@@Gusfer-ze8lw what ai features have you on request? AI is a buzz word. It's just some smart algorithms..not ai where it needs to use heuristics. You're just a lemming.
I appreciate the effort you’re putting into this review, but I think it’s important to maintain a neutral and unbiased perspective, especially when discussing a device that hasn’t been released yet. Comparing the Pixel 9 Pro XL to the Pixel 8 Pro is certainly valuable, but perhaps we should give it the benefit of the doubt until we can experience it firsthand. Instead of focusing on potential disappointments, highlighting the features and advancements could help your viewers form their own opinions. After all, the tech community thrives on balanced and informed discussions. Even AI platforms like ChatGPT 4, when discussing new developments, tend to emphasize the positive potential while leaving room for individual judgment. I believe your reviews could benefit from a similar approach. Thanks for considering this!
Ill stay with my 8 pro running amazingly....until the ten pro where i hear major changes are coming "under the hood".....also my phone gets all the updates the 9 will for the next 5 years allegedly. I'm not buying almost the same phone twice.
I think everybody sees when someone is bias with their reviews. Every time I see this reviewer post a review on a pixel phone it's talked about like it's trash. I feel like this reviewer is an iPhone fan. Would have a lot more credibility if they were unbiased in their review and if their view cannot be unbiased maybe skip over a review and don't do one at all would be a better option.
Im currently trying to decide between the 8 pro and 9 pro xl, basically the only thing i want from the 9 is the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, ive been living wotj the 6 pro for 3 years so im getting quiet tired of it bur dont know if its worth the price
I suggest you to buy pixel 8 pro because the 2 phones are slightly different (like the pixel 9 pro XL have more AI features, an ultrasonic fingerprint and a vapor Chamber and the pixel 8 pro doesn't have this thing) but the only con of the pixel 8 pro Is that It gets hot easily when gaming.
Maybe it was all the leaks but this year's pixel is boring in design and features. They focused so much on AI and it just seems like an expensive half-baked gimmick.
I got the 9 pro XL from Verizon for free, yesterday pre-order, no trade-in. Apparently just being a long time customer who hasn't upgraded since 2019 is the deal 😅 Edit: clarifying the details
Tell me the last time a phone has drastically updated a phone from their previous one. 😂 Every yearly update for all OEM's are incremental. They aren't for people who update yearly. These are for the every 2 to 3 year updates.
I am just waiting for reviews, including the camera reviews, to decide if I would want this phone. Otherwise I will be looking into the iPhone 16 line, specifically 16 Pro Max, after it comes out and reviews are out about it. Seeing how things are though, I might just wait till the next Galaxy line comes out and decide on one of the three devices then (also that way I can pay off my pixel 8 Pro so I can, either get trade-in credit or keep it as a backup device).
I own a pixel so i agree but bro he's a tech youtuber so he has to offer for those 100% of his viewers not just pixel guys even though benchmark gives a rough idea that how powerful the chip is although it doesn't tell the whole story but yeah for reference
Can somebody compare scrolling performance on that device between Firefox and Chrome browsers? Stutters, frame drops, etc. (Firefox is unbearable on my Pixel 8 Pro, would like to know if there's an improvement on that part).
odd to dump on a Google for giving quality of life improvements vs chasing specs, which news flash, common ppl don't care about-think about how Apple can get away with subpar displays on their devices but consumers don't bat an eye. The specs race is obsolete. my P8P has been a fine device since launch and I'm betting P9P will be as well. Tech reviews are dead if the conversation is going to be who has the fastest chip.
I see what you mean and I would have been more forgiving if there wasn't the $100 price bump, but if they don't deliver much new in terms of hardware why raise the price?
@@PhoneArena AI cost apparently 🤷🏽♂️ I think ppl need to get out of the idea of physical changes year over year; Google pulled out a redesign and improved hardware. The future is software, there's only so many ways we align glass and metal. Looking forward to the Pixel X series already ✌🏽
@@vvorthabilly No, Ai is free, Ai cost Google zero dollars. Ai saves Google so much money per year Google can now lay off more employees because of Ai.
@@PhoneArena I found your comments on performance useful and on point. I don't get why people complain, you just took a couple of minutes. Thanks for the review!
Yeah the 9 pro look ok to me , but yeah it’s a hard sell in my book coming from an 8 pro. I also think a lot of the AI stuff is very gimmicky. I just use the phone as a normal phone , I don’t see much value in the AI in my use , and 20 bucks a month for the privilege 😂😂😂😂 they can stick that right up where the sun doesn’t shine 😂.
@@SasukeUchiha-zu6dwgetting the smaller pro was worth it for me. The P8P is way too big. All of my content is usually consumed from different Chromecast throughout my home or my galaxy tab s9+. The P8P brings a lot of hand fatigue after long use. And you're totally right about every 2 (or 3) year, upgrade cycles because after trading my P8P for the smaller P9P, 2 years later, Google will be on their second version of the tsmc chip and will have a lot of kinks worked out! So this upgrade was worth it to me. And the 9 series, in my opinion, is more beautiful than the 8 series (the 8 was beautiful as well).
Everybody is already talking about this phone getting hot and they do not have their hands on it. I guess people didn't listen when Google said that they put a new vapor cooling system in the phone
The temperature sensor works great! And we use ours for our own temperature and to check our children's temperature pretty often and the results are very similar to some of the best thermometers out there. We travel a lot and are often out in nature with our children. It's really useful not having to carry an extra piece of gear. There are many other used as well. No it is not necessary for everyone. But since it's there, you can use it. And it works well! But if you're a heavy gamer and you don't want a temperature sensor on your phone, then the Pixel phone isn't for you. There are plenty other phones out there. Everything the Pixel phone does.... It does it well!
@@mackmccord3743 if seen the figures and already they show the tensor 4 is way below what’s out now. And based on the reality of all the other tensor benchmarks I’d agree with what they’re saying about it. You buddy will eat humble pie in a few weeks!!’
@@RichCow-xe1bz my P8P runs perfectly fine for everything that it is put through. The tensor 4 is supposed to be an improvement. Why wouldn't it be better? Your comments are not going to stop me from liking my preferred manufacturer or phone maker. My whole point is to let people know that what your hear on RU-vid about Google Pixel phones, on reviews and in the comment section is not true. And most of the people commenting never used a Pixel or haven't used a pixel 7 or 8 series. Anyway. My family is looking forward to receiving these new phones!
Hmm. . . . . "Video Booster" Does sound appealing. . . . . AI Features are just futuristic upgrades if you will. I might just Buy a Pixel and Skip on the S25U. . . . Idk . . . .
Lmao, sure, I have a 7 year old Samsung S8 and it is absolutely unsusable, battery lasts about 2 hours at most. And lots of apps don't works anymore because it uses Android 9
@@trilexiI have an S8+ to mate , yeah she don’t last too long on a 7.5 year old battery 😂, on the plus side , it charges to capacity super fast 😂. I have noticed on mine if the battery level is below 50% it is noticeably very very laggy, , charge to 100% or leave the charger plugged in and it runs much better . Clearly the old battery is having a nasty effect on it.
