I agree. This is why I don’t buy the “she’s the guardian and Ladybug” excuse. I get this adds more responsibility so I agree on that point. However, despite having more responsibility, I still feel that she wastes time on Adrien. I mean when Alya joined her, I felt she did more of the work while Marinette just focused on Adrien all of the time. Alya was the one who figured out the Grimmoire not Marinette. Marinette is the guardian. She was stressed with figuring it out so I get taking a break. But the whole point of the book is that only the Guardian can read it. So it made no sense how Alya was the one to figure it out. I also hate how she neglected Mother’s Day! I get being late because she was fighting as Ladybug. But time management before that. She dedicated hours and days of her time to make presents for all of Adrien’s birthdays but she did not take the time to make her mom something. On top of that, she asked to borrow money from her mom to get her a present which leaves Sabine alone with the maybe racist bus inspector getting her in trouble. There was one time I went to a fair and my mom gave me money to get something. A) before I had an allowance and a bank account and b) i bought a nice vase for her which she still has to this day. So on that front, I can understand using your parent’s money on their gifts. I think why I am hard in Marinette is unlike me, she is creative and a talented designer and sewer so even if she did not have money or forgot to take the purse she is used to, she could have made something for her mom ahead of time. It is sad when someone becomes this obsessed with a person to the point it becomes an addiction and she needs help. But it does not justify neglecting her family, friends, and responsibilities for a boy she sees everyday.

@@footymo9740 finally. Someone agrees with me. I say this all the time and people just say “it is just their dynamic. It is not abusive.” Why is her being a girl an exception to that rule. Boys can’t and shouldn’t get away with that behavior, but why is it ok for girls to do so? The double standard is horrible.

Yes, i know, thats how people in french greet others, but she rejected him consistently for days! I understand if he attempted to kiss her twice, bcs he needs to make sure, but beyond that, thats just restraining order on the way. The fact that people call that cute is just mind boggling. To be fair it was the first season. So it had a reason to be cringey. However, it was a fun kind of cringe. Seasons 3 & 4 just cranked it up to 11.

Depends on the material, experience and practice done by the person. I couldn't draw a human body in less than an hour when I started but now can draw one in 5 min. She's a fashion designer so she would have had experience with many mediums and materials. Also if I remember right, accessories are a part of the field of fashion. Her experience with sewing and other crafts may have helped her in making the glasses

The Miraculous Ladybug series itself is very diverse. if you analyze all the characters. Each one has a secret in his or her destiny. Something someone likes and something someone doesn't ^^

It also kinda like looking at Chloe in Ladybug as the point of her role in the series is meant to be a approval seeker and her seeing the bee miraculous made her feel she was getting the approval and respect she wanted even know it was going to come with dangerous reperussions and the point of her using social media and other events is to feel wanted and as well getting the people of paris admiration and social acceptance making it a message and a moral that if you seek approval than it can effect you and others badly

But she IS a stalker. She breaks into his home, stole personal properties (his phone in that one episode), she HAS A SCHEDULE OF WHAT HE IS DOING. She IS A STALKER. She is waaaaaay too obsessed - which is why her actions are not understandable. If Marinette behaved like an actual teenage girl, no one would have called her a stalker. Like in ep 1 where she's just awkwardly staring at Adrian and not being able to talk to him. That's fine, that's realistic. But when she (tries) to break into his home in Oni-chan and Cat Blanc? That's not fine, and is not, and better not be how teenage girls act. Did I mention when she stole Adrian's phone? And no, there are no double standards - no one liked it when Chloe clung on to Adrian, no one likes Lila.

Devoting your life to a boy, knowing all of his schedule, having too many gifts ready for any small special day of the boy, tried breaking in his house, have too much picturea of him isn't a normal teenage crush, it's an obsession. How could you think this is a normal teenage girl crush? You've never talked to any girls? .

@@evelynneclipse2069 Firstly, Adrien is not her entire character, she is much more than the quirky girl who comes up with crazy fantasies and babbles nonsense around her crush. That's merely the surface of her character, in reality she's a kind caring girl who always puts others before herself even if it makes her life ten times more difficult. Secondly, Adrien's schedule is so boring and repetitive that even Adrien himself says that his life is boring. Anyone who's ever interacted with him and knew him personally would easily memorize his schedule. Marinette not only has Adrien's schedule but the schedule of all her classmates because she's the planner of their class and wants to plan things for them because she believes that everything needs to be perfect for people to like her. Same with the presents. She doesn't just make them for Adrien, she does it for all of her classmates as seen in "Guiltrip" when she told Rose that she would have to get her cushion on her birthday just like everyone else. Before the Origins episodes, Marinette never had any real friends due to Chloe always bullying her and no one being willing enough to stand up for her and when she finally got friends she wanted to do everything in her power not to lose them, making them gifts, planning events for them based on their schedules and when you add that fear of being hated to the normal amount of obsession a girl has over her crush who is also a role model it seems like it's worse than it actually is. Marinette isn't obsessed with Adrien (I mean she is but just the normal amount of obsession a girl has over her crush), she's obsessed with everything being perfect for him because she's afraid that if it isn't perfect, Adrien will reject her and she will be humiliated and no one wants to be humiliated. It's what her entire character arc is about: learning that she doesn't have to be perfect for people to like her and she is amazing just the way she is. She is learning that, slowly but surely, and season 4 has shown the most development for her in this regard by far. This is also why Tikki is perfect as her kwami. She is kind, patient and empathetic and always assures her that she is amazing so as to raise her self-esteem because that is the root of 99% of her flaws.

@@Enderstorm20 Stalkers can be nice people. It still doesn't excuse them for stalking. Like you can be a helpful person, someone who cares about other people but that doesn't mean you're excused if you do something illegal like robbing or something. Marinette is definitely a caring person but that doesn't change the fact that she is an obsessive stalker come on. Also did you even see how much of the schedule she memorised and write down cause you really should rewatch the episode. That much is not normal for anyone unless if you're the one that made the schedule or is Adrian OR if you have an obsession. She has his schedule not for a month but way more than that. Also did you even watch the episode about Marinette having presents for Adrian? She doesn't only have present for his bday, but also his for any even a tiny bit special day. She literally has a huge box filled with presents for Adrien. She doesn't even prepare that much present for her mother as seen on qilin iirc. And have you seen one of the special? Where Marinette decided to go to China and using her parents money not for the sake of her family, but because of Adrien. She literally would go around the world and follow Adrien. Isn't that creepy as hell?????? Don't try to excuse her behaviour its not normal. If someone is like her irl, they'd need to see a therapist. Marinette is a great friend to have no doubt about that. But she's just so obsessive at Adrien. There's a reason why people always talk about Marinette being a stalker. If a lot of people says that, then it should be an issue.

@@evelynneclipse2069 Piggybacking off the presents part, in Glaciator 2 she sees Adrien crying in the park and instead of becoming concerned and going over there to find out what's wrong, she sees it as a golden opportunity to make herself look good. Operation Sad Adrien? Really? How heartless and selfish can a person be? And I'm supposed to believe she loves him? It's an obsession. Period. Marinette's nice and all but when it comes to Adrien and anything involving him she's the absolute worst.
