I’m only 8 years old almost nine and I love baking with my mom. This is the first baking recipe from preppy kitchen that I did with my mom it turned out perfect. I recommend stuffing the crust the mozzarella cheese mine turned out perfectly it was delicous
●3/4 cups warm water (180ml) ●1/2 tbsp granulated sugar ●1 packet yeast (7 grams) any yeast will do Let proof the yeast ●2 cups All Purpose Flour (240 grams) / bread flour ●3/4 salt Mix ingredients from Dry to Wet 😉
I may be pretty confident as a home cook, but I love the way you present all of these concepts and methods in a "newbie" approach for those without the confidence in the kitchen. That encourages really enables folks to try cooking or baking that one time and, hopefully, they get hooked.
Hello. Just to let you know that I used this recipe, and it is the best so far. The only thing I changed was the flour--I used bread flour instead and it came out perfect! Thank you so much! I love this recipe!
My pizza finally came out delicious! This was my 2nd attempt at trying this recipe. There were many learning curves along the way. Here's a neat trick I learned. If you don't have a warming drawer or your oven cannot lower to 120 degrees, you can fill your sink with warm water, place the bowl with the dough and the lid on in the water, and cover the sink with saran wrap. This worked wonderfully when I needed my dough to rise. Also, with waking up the yeast, it took approximately 10-30min. I really appreciate the video. Now I can add this to my cooking arsenal.
I did this with my mom step by step and it turned out absolutely amazing!! And we didn't even have proffesinal things . Thank you for this 🙌🏼👏🏼 Definitely try it out.
500 grams of all purpose flour 335 grams of warm water 4 grams of yeast 5 grams of sugar 10 grams of salt Mix in the kitchen aid for 10 min Let rise for 1 hour Divide and rest for 15 min Stretch and bake on pizza stone at 500
@@_hello4596 and on the other hand, I've seen the video already so I just want to read it quickly. this is why I like when the video creators put their recipe written in their description so I don't have to listen every single time when I'm trying their recipe again.
Made pizza for the first time ever and used this recipe. I have to say, it was easier than i thought. I used my hands to knead and mix everything. Turned out PERFECT! Thank you!
Just finished eating this... OMG it's so good! I added garlic and herbs to the dough, and made a mix of bread crumbs, garlic and parmesan to put on the bottom and the crust. It was amazing! I'll definitely be making this again!! Thank you! First time watching any of your videos!
I did this recepie yesterday and for the first time, I was able to do a delicious pizza dough. My husband loves pizza but very particular about it he loved he didn't left any side crust left. Thank you.
We followed this recipe for family pizza night and it came out perfect! Thank you for making the process so easy to follow! I would just add that we don’t have granulated sugar so we used brown sugar and it was totally fine, in case that helps anyone.
11-15-21 Hello John. I made this dough two days ago and added a lot of dried pesto basil. It was delicious. Right now I am kneading another with dried oregano. This one I will try freezing. I like to have a "stash" of pizza dough in my freezer. Thank you for always sharing your cooking and baking . I have tried so many and always have a success. Hugs to your boys. Mrs. H. Update 11-20 the frozen pizza dough has thawed and it rising nicely.
6-27-22 John, sitting here enjoying homemade pizza. Must tell you that after MANY years of trying different pizza dough recipes I like yours the very best. It is so easy to prepare and it spread outs so easily. I use oil on it and my rolling pin to spread it. The crust browns nicely too. I use it to make one 14 inch pizza with homemade sauce. I have tried so many of your recipes and have enjoyed every one. Thank you John.
First, this recipe is EXTREMELY easy to follow along with AND it doesn't require any fancy ingredients. Second, it came out absolutely amazing! My sister and bf were fighting for the last slice! 😭 This guy is my favorite ❤️ All of his recipes are just so easy and it made me love baking again. Every one of his recipes that I've tried always come out exactly as I expect. 10/10
Hello John, yes I have been looking for the perfect Pizza Dough. Never found it until now! Just made it for lunch and was a huge success. As you say Pizza anytime, haha. Thank you for sharing this and all your other lovely recipes. You are a pleasure to watch and learn from. Thank you again. Kym, Edinburgh, Scotland.
I like stuffed crust. When folding crust, 1st step, I add the cheese. I use the cheese snack cheese-like string cheese. Fold crust over the cheese. Very tasty. Dipped in butter w/garlic.
I love that you talk and include the culinary desires of your kidlets. My daughter asked for pizza several minutes after I watched this video in another room and I immediately thought I'm going to try this dough recipe. 😁
I've tried this recipe so many times and it didn't dissapoint me! This recipe is so perfect for the first time baker! Highly recommended. Thank u preppy kitchen for the amazing recipe. Your RU-vid channel is my go to when it comes to recipes👌
use whole milk mozzarella and grate it yourself. the shreded mozzarella has aa coating on it to keep it from sticking together in the bags but it also makes it drier tasting and it doesn’t;t melt as well If you use a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven for at least 30 minutes (i use 450F) and then slide your pizza onto it with a pizza peel or a cookie sheet. Just make sure your dough slides well on the peel or cookie sheet BEFORE you top it. That is why a lot of people use cornmeal under the dough. It works like ball bearings
@@ricfootball I let it rise about an hour and that makes it doubled in size. Depending on how warm it is where you put it to rise it can be 45 min but for me it took an hour. I used this to make a broccoli sausage and cheese bread and it worked well too.
@@juliecardoso5422 Great, thanks Julie - I was hoping for less because I'm going to be pushed for time on date night on Valentines Day night (waiting for kids to go to bed, and want to make the dough together etc), but I only plan to make enough dough for one pizza to share, so with a warm place for it to rise and less dough maybe 40 mins will be enough and I can prepare the toppings during that time 🙂🍕
@@ThinkPraise I basically made it up. I took cooked cut up sausage, chopped broccoli and shredded mozzarella cheese and put it on the rolled out crust. I rolled it into a rectangle evenly spread out the broccoli and sausage on it, topped it with the cheese and then rolled it up jelly roll fashion and put it on parchment on a sheet pan. I cut slits in the top and baked it till it was done. You can season the filling if you want but I didn’t because I felt the sausage provided enough.
Just finished. When I let my bread set, the yeast didn’t rise. I’m guessing my water might not have been warm enough or I had used too much water. But mama didn’t raise no quitter. So I mixed it anyway and lemme tell you it was amazing. This is a great video.
This has been the only recipe I’ve ever tried. No need to switch, because technique and recipe are on point. Add at least a tablespoon of dried rosemary, and you’re pizza will be banging good. If you have an ooni, that’s a plus!
It's 3:30pm and this pizza dough recipe is the great dinner I'm going to have, and this totally smashed my smile today ,thanks John. Stay safe and your lovely family.
Get a small jar of Basil Pesto in olive oil. Spread that on the crust thinly before putting the pizza sauce on it and it is soooo good ! The basil pesto makes ground hamburger taste like gourmet Italian sausage. I also spread it on my garlic bread. Yummy !
Yesterday, I tried this fantastic recipe that turned out great. I made some adjustments to this recipe I don’t have the machine so I applied two stretch and folds and two coil folds. Instead of using a wooden roll, I used my fingers to gently press the center of the dough, while leaving the border slightly thicker. By allowing the dough to naturally stretch under its own weight, I achieved the desired thickness. The result was a pizza that delighted the whole family. For the toppings, I added a generous layer of mozzarella cheese, flavorful Brazilian Calabresa sausage, juicy tomatoes, and crispy shredded bacon. To enhance the flavors, I sprinkled a pinch of oregano and black pepper. The combination was a true hit, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I just watched the World Champion Pizza Maker laugh at this recipe for 16 minutes. Everything looks very good on the Internet, but compared to reality it turns out to be worthless. People, not everything that is on RU-vid and looks nice is good :)
1) they make traditional Neapolitan pizza's which really are better, ,and 2) this is made for the american home kitchen and designed to be ready in less than 2 hours probably, ofc it will look bad compared to a more complex and refined recipe. be mindful of who the target audience is.
My family loved our pizza. I made a supreme with everything I like. My kids made Italian sausage and pepperoni with mushrooms. The dough was the easiest! Thank you so much!!!
Me and my boyfriend used this recipe to make pizza for our anniversary and oh my gosh it turned out AMAZING!! We used 1/2 tsp of Dash garlic and herb powder to flavor the dough and it was perfect. Thank you for this amazing tutorial 😭
I just turn oven light on and do not turn oven on at all for proofing. I do the same when making bread. That seems to make oven warm enough. Works for me.
@@hanouf679 if he copied this pizza dough recipe there would be nothing fluffy or crispy, this would be a dry, tasteless and stomach hurting yeast bomb... everything here is wrong
I'm so happy that I found your channel. EVERY single recipe is superb 👌. I decided to take your suggestion and add herbs and seasonings (onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, basil and oregano) I'm never buying pizza from a shop again. My goodness it's so good 👍🏻 😩
A true masterclass in how not to make a pizza dough. Over fermented due to constantly introducing too much heat. Gluten structure has collapsed by the end of kneading due to FAR too much yeast being used. Good luck with your digestion after this. To list every mistake would require an essay. Avoid this one.
I just made a pizza following this video and I'm really thrilled that it all turned out like a real pizza I would order in a restaurant. Thanks Preppy Kitchen 😋 😋 😋
I made pizza today with this video recipe I did 4 pizzas so I did everything 4x but yeast I only did 15 g , it was the best pizza I ever had. we just made pizza oven first time using it , it was perfect recipe for pizza oven , it was very pleasant experience. Thank You for the perfect pizza dough recipe.
Here's a little tip I learned baking at home. I use parchment paper to roll my dough on so I can slide the dough pizza on to the pan get that nice even flat pizza crust thin then roll my edges in to create the crust. And if you precook the do five minutes with just the sauce then pull the pizza back out add your toppings back cook till pizza looks done toppings look cooked
Thank you for this video! I have been on the struggle bus for YEARS trying to get my dough right. Your video was easy to understand, fun to watch and helped me correct some glaring mistakes I've been making over the years. I made pizza tonight and it was 🤌🏼🔥! ❤❤
I followed your recipe and my pizzas came out wonderful!!! I added Rosemary, Salt, garlic and onion powder to my dough. Thank you so much for sharing 🥰♥️🍕
Just made this last night for family and they loved it! Put a little dried basil and onion powder in the dough and red sauce, mozerrella, parmesan, spinach, sausage and mushrooms on top! It was fantastic! loved the piece I had, but I'm gluten free, so can't eat it often/much of it, and I didn't want to mess with almond flour without knowing how to adjust/ calibrate. Do you have a gluten free recipe for equally as amazing pizza dough?? I know it's a tall ask....gluten free pizza crust usually tastes like cardboard.... but thought I'd ask because this was an awesome recipe. Thanks in advance!
I tried this out with homemade mozzarella and it came out simply GORGEOUS!!! The base was so tasty that I am going to make it again now! Thanks John!!!
I just made this pizza dough and it was so easy and yummy to make! You’re the absolute best teacher! This is the first time I made it and I made it all by hand. Thank youuu
The best invention on earth is a pizza stone. We've been making pizza for years but only just got a stone. The very first time using the stone, our pizza was AS GOOD as any professional / commercial pizza I've ever tasted. The only difference between the best pizza you can buy in this part of the world and our pizza is that we custom build our toppings to exactly what we like, and of course the cost of making your own is a small fraction of what commercial pizza costs so now there's no reason why we can't have great commercial quality pizza whenever we want. We also use the ' hook ' attachment to mix up the dough and make 4 at a time, one to be used immediately and we freeze the rest and thaw when required. I never really knew that home made pizza could be as good or better than commercial until we got the pizza stone, but now that the secret is out, we're totally making the best pizza in the valley and loving it.
This was amazing! I have done 2 pizzas already following this recipe and both my wife and kids love it. This was my first time time making pizza btw, ever...
Hi! 🌻😊 Made this dough twice this week (also the first time trying this recipe!). First time, followed your way of doing it, result: perfect! ❤ Then I was thinking, could it be even easier? Soooooo, I did it my way. All the dry stuff in one bowl, incl the dry yeast, then had the water and oliveoil in. The "waking" the yeast... nah, no need to do it with the yeast I am using. Was there any difference between the doughs, after proofing? NO! Feels and taste the same! To both doughs, as I always do with pizzadoughs, added 1 tablespoon dry oregano, and 1 tablespoon dry basil. Your recipe (done my way!😊) is the easiest pizzadough, and perfect size for 2 pizzas. 🍕😊
Thank you so much! I made this today and its the best homemade pizza i've ever had Very good explanation too, so this helped me a lot to understand what i did wrong before
Hi John! I am from Montréal, and over here we love what we call “All dressed” pizza. It have pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers, and of course topped with mozzarella cheese. I just discovered your channel, and I love it 🥰 Thanks so much 😊
perfect, super easy and responsive dough to make, thank you! Pizza ended up very good, and this morning, just used the left over dough to make (baguette like) bread and works out really really well, thank you again, all the best Happy New Year!
Made this today! Added Italian seasoning and dried minced garlic to the crust. This is the best recipe ever! Throwing all the others away! My kids are amazed! Thank you❤
