Pizza Time Theatre Show Restoration - Part Six

Our dauntless troupe of The Captain, Menutia, and Shiney Happy Jenn continue the process of fully restoring a classic original Pizza Time Theatre animatronic show.
In this chapter, we continue with more footage of the early testing done on the nearly complete Show using a vintage 1979 show reel. Witness early skits that were originally animation programmed for Portrait Era figures. Detailed on-screen subtitles note the unique details in the unusual movements of the figures being seen when compared to later, more fluid Classic Era Cyberamic animation that is to come.
Also enjoy the first few skits to feature Mr. Munch, who in 1979 was a brand new character. A insightful view of the Pizza Time past....and the best is yet to come!

I find Chuck E.'s personality changes over the years to be fascinating. He's quite snippity in the early years. Wonder if there was some sort of corporate/political shove there. Either way, it's cool to see these animatronics working again!

Sadly they were all destroyed. All except two who someone had. They tryed to restore the cat character but Chuck E had his mask solidified so they didn't want to break it. A floof happened and who knows where they went

Hey u know mr.munch eyelid movement was reversed his eye should have stayed opens like the eyelids and the eyes were like the eyelids they should blink and not open u should check some of the programming on mr.munch maybe there is something wrong with his programming and they were reversed in the making of the animatronic movement

You are correct. Munch's eyelids were indeed 'reversed' as the Show Controller System we used here had 1990s parts controlling a show skit that was originally programmed in the late 70s/ early 1980s. On some skits, the animation signals were 'reversed'. In a couple of cases, we had to reverse the air tubes to 'correct' the animation that was being misdirected due to the slight differences in the more modern controller parts. Munch's eyelids were one such case where it was not done until later filming sessions. A keen eye !

and im only nine and I spotted that error thx for commenting on this leo if u would give me more information on the animatronic software i would like to learn more about the system and parts that were made for that type of software for the animatronics because i am very interested with them i am like obbseded with the software in animatronics so one day ican make a franchise like chuck e chese and showbiz so i can help my father with is grant and his bussnise and help his website grow thx again emma

None has come to light to date, but it is likely 'out there' on a old television news story broadcast or a former employees' home movies.

I don't have any myself, but there are short clips of video elsewhere here from her appearence at CheeseVention X back in 2013. No video footage has surfaced to date of her at a PTT.

- They were collected up from various sources around the country over many years. They were is rough shape, but as you can see from this video series, with a lot of time and work we made them operate like new again, with clean cosmetics as well.

Im pretty sure you have to be the owner of a chuck e cheese franchise, From what i heard, they destroy everything they throw out. and its not like you can call up the animatronic company and buy one because they probably dont own the copyright to the characters.
