Wario land 1-3 invulnerability/enemy transformation gimmick with 4’s timer at the end of the level gimmick with super Metroid shine spark/speed booster gameplay turned up to 10, and I love it.
Those were the level specific escape tracks, they were scrapped to not put too much strain on the music makers. (Minus the freezer one. That was Grinches ultimatum. [Which doesn’t belong to PTG])
I gotta say, being given the option to re-speedrun the stage for a better rank at the cost of time and score is pretty dope. Gives the point system a purpose for those wanting a challenge.
It’s an amazing risk vs reward challenge, I love when Death Mode starts and the pizza monster sabotages your momentum so you need to readjust and get your flow going again, thinking on the spot what’s the best course of action to recover
I like how the music in pizzascape changes so fast that none of the songs can build up to anything and instead it sounds like mister incredible becoming uncanny
I just love how almost every pose is a reference to a meme My favorites have to be Literally Me, Sonic Adventure pose, and I think a reference to Ren freaking out from Ren & Stimpy
They do speedrun, and it's very fun, there's even two costumes incentivizing it, sage blue for beating all floor 1 levels in under an hour, and john clothes for getting the "true ending" (all treasures) in 2 hours 15 minutes, and also two judgements, "You Are Quick As Hell!" for beating the game with under 95% completion in under two hours, and "HOLY SHIT!" for doing the same in under four hours with 95% or above
The dash attack and timed escape sequence from Wario Land 4, the Shinesparkler from Super Metroid, and now the Phanto from Super Mario Bros. 2 is here? That's...actually pretty cool.
What's the song that plays on Lap 2? I know the original song name is "It's Pizza Time" but the 2nd lap has a different version and I need to know what it's called. Also, you did outstanding on this. Keep up the good work, man!
Damn, super taunt really was overpowered in the previous version, I understand why it got nerfed considering that keeping a combo with that would be way too easy
How does the death mode work? I see him getting hit but it doesn't seem like it's actually hurting him. I also noticed if you get hit a certain number of times it says, "you hurt Peppino x amount of times", does that mean anything either?
Wawwwut has always had fun but it was fun but then it would have been a good thing because you don’t wanna it time you get it you have to get your stuff out and then it would be better to be at the point that
Didn't pizzatowerguy wanted to remove the infinitely ascending super jump? Or this is a version before that happened? I really hope he didn't remove that, because it felt so good to pull off!
