Thank you for checking out the LONGEST Lost Bits video (by far) that I've ever made! Hope you enjoyed this little trip through Pizza Tower, but for now, it's time to say goodbye to Peppino and the gang
Also, fun fact, did you know you can find this in games y’all still? Somebody actually still has it in game Joel you look you can actually find this still.
In a lot of cases they are Games kind of tend to be freewheeling and highly iterative in their early phases Doom, Duke Nukem 3D/Forever and basically all of the Half-Life games are good examples of games with a lot of known or even releases betas that show how much changed thru their development
Actually, The Noise CAN be seen riding a Washing Machine in the final game in the "Wash N Clean" secret room, which also has Snick covered in a white sheet. A lot of the secret Hub rooms reuse otherwise scrapped assets.
@@cheesuschrist300 (to complete this sentence I shall add the final word "cowboys!" To make the final product "yee haw cowboys!" And so I will.) cowboys!
Really sad you didn't mention the detail in the 2018 builds where if you super jump when you're outside the tower then a plane crashes in the background to explain how you hit a ceiling
The early builds are very nostalgic to me nowadays. After five years of development, it's so satisfying to see Pizza Tower's final release become as great as it is. The passion shows.
Final pizza tower is more Speedrunny, and that's great, however, the earlier more maze-like wario design choices would have made for a pretty great game too, kinda wanna see how that would have turned out, but then again antonblast seems like it's going to scratch that itch
honestly works out for the better, Pizza tower gets a more unique identity while also making Antonblast feel different instead of both being too similar
41:44 You failed to mention that Pizzaface actually has a ranking on the sign there. For some reason in the final game, the final boss has an _achievement_ for beating it damageless, but it has no ranking to give you a P-rank for.
I really hope that a lot of this stuff can be brought back as DLC. The stuff I'd most want to see return are the extra playable characters, the holiday themed and Dragon Lair levels, Co Op, and the level editer.
14:37 It's unavoidable Everywhere I look, i see it No matter how much I scream for it to leave me be, to get out of my head Unfortunately, there will always be one impostor among us
I actually remember I found a demo of pizza tower on a website. You were able to play as the noise and of course Peppino. I don't know if it was official, but Peppino could only run, jump, jump higher by holding up, and a slam that could only be performed from a certain height. There was no super jump and the only transformation I remember was the barrel transformation. There were hooks that you could hang on to and boxes you could actually push and there was water, and water currents. I don't remember what website it was though.
I remember dreaming about a lost beta of Pizza Tower, it was similar to the final game except The Final Floor used assets from the Slum, and WAR took place in a realistic battlefield with real soldiers and it was 3D. The beta ended with a PizzaFace Fake Peppino hybrid eating Peppino.
I watched all the Pizza Tower TetraBitGaming videos now that I finished the game, they were all so good, thank you for taking the time to document all the unused content of this amazing game and as I commented before, thank you for introducing me to this masterpiece. I love everything about the game, I had no idea it had been in development for that long but it shows, the humor, the artstyle, the music, the gameplay, the controls, the story, the characters, everything is great. I hope they add Snick in an update or a sequel.
very interesting to see everything summed up in one video! been following this game for what feels like forever, so this is a bit of a nostalgia trip for me in a way. weird to think it's been in the oven for five years...
the cover of that beatles song in the intro suprised me, my dad has a few beatles cds and that song is on one of them. i didnt expect a beatles song to be used in a video like this hehe.
About the coop, it would make sense to either make the coop be unlocked at the start ad p2 being gustavo and when you beat the noise or the game entirely unlocking the noise as a playable character or if you beat the game, you unlock coop with the noise as a playable character.
They should really add online and build mode again, because it’d be pretty fun, maybe make it like Little big planet, where you collect objects in the levels.
the first patron build was released on my birthday four years ago. as if i didn't feel old already from it being so old, it just happened to be on my birthday
fun fact demo 2 had the first new-ish sound effects for peppinos dash stages, and they were also the most annoying! (could u imagine constantly hearing a tiny little timpani looping throughout the whole playthrough of the final game?)
I think its funny how the game is so bizzarre that tetrabit couldnt even tell if the cheese dragon everywhere is a bug or not I dont blame him I dunno either
@@zrpui8064didja know that you can access some through the player code N is noise M is pepper man (p is used for peppino) V is vigilante I think And f is fu-
Instead of giving you a key to next floor after the noise boss fight he would grab the key and hide in john gutter, the enemies would change to little noises and the music will change to soundtrack when noisette grabs noise
Note: The little Noises are called Noisey's, and also, the song isn't the same song as Ohh La Belle Noisette!, it only uses the same motif, which for all intents and purposes, I'll call the "Noise" motif, as it's heard in almost every song relating to The Noise. The ACTUAL song used for when Noise steals the key and hides in John Gutter is called The Noise's Jam-Packed Radical Anthem, and is currently in the game's OST, despite not being used anywhere in the game (It isn't even located in the files!)
0:51 Since the full game came out, will you please share those? Im just curious to see some kind of stuff like if Snick Challenge was still on game, and that kind of stuff Edit: It's so weird to see the early test sfx, the Half Life Breaking Metal sfx dosen't fit with the goofy theme of the game lol
Fun fact about Peppino's early scream: Not only was it used in Mario 64 as a placeholder, it was actually recorded by the voice actor for most of the characters in the classic Looney Tunes, Mel Blanc.
I don't think new characters will ever be added, the game is built around peppino's moveset and other kinds of moveset could be hard to adapt to the already stablished levels and bosses. Maybe some special characters for special new levels, just like when you switch to the guy with the mouse
Note: The Noise IS going to be added in a future update. When the game first released on Steam, accessing the unused Character Select and picking The Noise would yield odd results, as his palette was glitched causing him to mostly use his Pepper Pizza palette instead of the normal one. However, in a VERY recent update (The same one that added the Halloween Event) actually FIXED his color palette, fixed the patterns (Because they would cause parts of him to be completely invisible), and changed a couple of his extra outfits, and even referenced his glitched palette by having Unfunny Cook Noise's face be red.
It didn't start out as Christmas Race. It originally WAS Oregano Desert, however it was reskinned and edited to be Christmas Race for a single demo. It WAS , however, our first LOOK at Oregano Desert, which is kind of sad now that I think about it.
