Honestly, even if we don’t get an actual Christmas update this year to me at least the Noise update will feel more like a late Christmas present for the community
Fun fact: for any of you who haven’t collected the pumpkins yet, the music changes when one is close so pay attention to that. Also, once you collect one, you can exit the level and it will still count it as collected.
I still find it funny that the update's release is tied to Mcpig beating a DK64 randomizer on stream lol But yeah, it was nice surprise. I was never expecting something like this for Pizza Tower. But it fits. The game is full of horror themes on its levels. Hell, Pizza Tower originally was supposed to be a "horror" game. Maybe we didn't get a christmas update, but I hope they do more of this.
This was another thing I almost included in the script! The only reason it got cut was because I couldn't find any of his DK64 clips for footage references :(
I recorded this weeks ago and finished it slightly before the teaser video so the timing is a little awkward haha They treat this game with so much respect for even showing us early footage

Thank the Gods they just released a little teaser for The Noise. I've basically cemented myself in my friend group as the one with complete Pizza Tower brainrot, we used to do a ton of races before people stopped wanting to play with me cause I was too good. Big ego boost, but now I have nobody to play with ;( L

Another game that does similar stuff to this is Terraria, during October or December the game changes slightly to reflect Halloween and Christmas, during October pumpkins grow naturally, health and mana restoring pickups change to candy apples and cookies, enemies drop special Goodie Bag items that can be opened for Halloween costumes and there's the Halloween exclusive pumpkin slime enemy which is just a normal slime but it looks like a jack o lantern, Christmas is similar with candy canes and sugar plums replacing the health and mana pickups, enemies drop presents that give Christmas outfits and items, a Santa NPC shows up and there's even a special event where is you use the snow globe item you can get from presents you can fight the Frost Legion which is a hoard of mobster snowmen.
Just the coolest kind of events imo. Helps me get into the mood and it's so cool how drastically different the game can be. Cookie Clicker was another game that came to mind for me
Oh man, this actually goes back really far. Ever heard of Dungeon Keeper 2? If you're playing at 1AM on a Saturday, all of your creatures will go to the Casino if you have one, and party down to the tune "Disco Inferno" while colored disco spotlights light the room and fireworks are launched. They'll continue partying for the next two minutes unless picked up and physically ordered to do something else, or they're a Skeleton or Imp (neither of which will stop their jobs for anything). Play the game on a Full Moon, and a new stage - Imp Invasion - will appear on the campaign map. Phantasy Star Online is *technically* an MMO, but there's special lobby decorations and music if you play on certain holidays, particularly Halloween and Christmas. These even occur when offline, based on your system clock. For more a more recent game, Astroneer has events tied to the holidays, such as the Spookysquash Harvest around Halloween and Project: CHEER around Christmas. During these, you can collect special event resources and send them off for delivery using an EXO Request Platform to earn event points. Enough event points can unlock hats, masks, skins, and new spacesuits.
Was gonna bring up Terraria, glad someone did! Also, a cool thing they added in 1.4 is that if you do the Frost Moon or Pumpkin moon events, the world will turn into that season for one in game day. It's a nice way to see some of the content if you aren't close to any of those months.
I think the super hero outfit in the menu is a callback to Peppinos old backstory in the demos! Where he was supposed to be a former Super-hero, Mcpig scrapped that story along with the Super Hero transformation so theres that.

I was Kenny for Halloween, not sure if anyone cares but yeah. Someone even recognized me as Kenny with my muffled voice and orange jacket with a face mask to cover my face up to my eyes and exclaimed “Dude that’s Kenny from South Park!” and that made me happy.

Hey, what level is that when you showed the pre-halloween pause screen? That wasn't in the base game, or in the halloween update so what level was that? The timestamp is 7:47. It looks kind of like a version of the golf level
And of course you put the noise in the thumbnail right after the noise trailer releases while not putting anything halloween related in the thumbnail or title
