Haven't seen anything like this anywhere else so I decided to upload it myself. I didn't feel like getting the pineapple guy's jumpscare so it's on the thumbnail.
I looked on the wiki earlier and, according to that, these animations weren't used because they apparently caused performance issues... A bit of a shame, too; they're well made.
@@Time0ut apparently (once again, based on what the wiki states) they _are_ prerendered. If I had to guess, *_maybe_* it could be because the visual quality of the animations are quite high compared to other parts of the game, but I honestly don't really know; I'm just spitballing...
Tbh im glad we got the goofy screamer we got. although these are really well made, the ms paint doodled ones are hilarious and since they happen and load instantly, are bound to catch a blind player off once (i genuinely got scared the first time i got jumpscared but then once i processed what just happened and then got intentionally jumpscared again just to make sure i didnt imagine what just happened, i lost my shit and laughed for a solid minute)
I was got pretty good when I dropped and the monster was off screen actually made me jump. I love how funny the sprite jumpscares are but like horror comedy can get you good off guard
While conceptually I prefer these, I think I'm kinda glad we got the simple-ass ones in the final game, because I feel like in an actual level this shit would get on my nerves instantly.
@@flunkytown i dont think they are in the files The reason for their removal was taking up too much space (just imagine how much 4 3d models would do to a 2d game)
They were made for first in 2D. Those 3D animations were released when the game was about to come out. The maker of those animations worked on them because Mc Pig once said that he will like to have 3D jumpscares for the Toppin Monsters but this was rejected with Mc Pig saying something like: "Thanks, I appreciate the effort on those animations but I think I want to make all the graphics by myself".
It's really unfortunate that these were scrapped. These 3d animations both make the jumpscares more effective, and would 0robably make the October fest gag that much funnier.
I think you have the right idea but you only worded it terribly. The 3D jumpscares were cut not because they were '3D' (these are pre-rendered images) but because the visual quality was far above that of most of the other game, causing slowdown and performance issues.
@@SonicMaster519 that’s still a terrible reason, hell any image editor including low end things like ms paint, it would take about 2 seconds to scale down the resolution. There has to be another reason for the performance drop, because I highly doubt that pizza tower guy doesn’t know how to, or doesn’t care enough to scale down an image.
@@baitornot4697 why would someone make highly detailed prerendered 3D jump scares just for them to get made to look objectively worse??? The 3D jumpscares would of been cool because it would of looked like an actual jumpscare from a horror game, but it doesn't look good if you lower the resolution so much where you could count the pixels on it, and thats still risking the games performance. It affects performance probably because its animating highly prerendered 3D jumpscares in the midst of a entire level with its own 2D animations which is a struggle for memory or gpu or somethin stuff but thats my guess lol. I don't think the guy animating frame by frame and coding the game simultaneously would not know how to, or doesn’t care enough to scale down an image.
@@baitornot4697 Scaling down the image would lower the quality of said image, making the 3D models look ugly and in general making the entire thing look terrible. It was wise to go with the 2D animations simply because scaling down the 3D images would make them look horrendous.
there was also an unused pineapple ghost jumpscare, meaning that at some point, pineapple ghost was able to jumpscare you, it was scrapped because probably of the combo mechanic and the jumpscared archivment, since pineapple ghost appear so suddently.
Before then, you were supposed to be jumpscared by the pineapple guy if you got into pizza time and got caught by a monster. Maybe it was to stop players from being annoyed? Not likely
Damn this so much better than what we got, the animations, the scream, if only we actually got this. Also it would be funny if the oktoberfest jumpscare was 3d

I wish they made one for the october whatever its called, it would be funny, im glad they sticked with what we have currently, these would be out of place.
when pizza tower was first out in steam i imagined that the jumpscares would look like this when i first played the dont make a sound level before this video came out
Nah, the 3D jump scares were scraped because it lowered performance and they wanted to keep the art style consistent, which is a shame because these jumpscares are spooky
The ones we got were funnier. They felt like they were making fun of FNAF jumpscares, which goes along with the whole level being both a FNAF homage and a parody.
