All through the song he leads and she follows, and then there’s a wonderful point where the step changes, as she’s telling him she’s going and she won’t see him again, and suddenly she’s leading and he’s following.. it’s a beautiful piece of music.
PJ is a goddess been dropping killa albums for 30 odd years, all brilliant all different she is the only artist to win the mercury album award twice and they ain't even my favourites but fantastic
@@PresidentHotdog funny enough Roni Size is the only other mercury prize winning album I own it is cool, and unpopular opinion I know I do respect Radiohead but was never a fan
Finally! Someone reacting to PJ Harvey. She is one of the most prolific artists and musicians. Have seen her live countless times and she always delivers. You won’t be disappointed if you dive deeper into her amazing catalogue.
Wow. This is lovely. I had no idea PJ and Thom had a song together. I heard "Good Fortune" from this album but never listened to the rest of the album. Will do now!
It's a superb album, probably her most immediately accessible, yet in no way compromised. Good Fortune is a storming song, although for me it's nowhere near the best - This Is Love is amazingly sexy (and the video, my GOD!), Horses In My Dreams is woozily beautiful, and We Float is one of my very favourite PJ songs, ie a certified banger.
@@xx-ug9hn Oh indeed I have. I saw her in London on her first tour in the early 90s, and have seen her several times since. I have all her albums, but she's one of those artists whose standard is so high that my favourite album of hers is whichever one I'm listening to at any given moment. Is This Desire is right up there with Stories, To Bring You My Love, Let England Shake, and White Chalk. She's a once-in-a-generation talent.
Thank you for reacting to this and thanks for the well wishes! I'm doing a lot better now... just taking it slow and gradually getting things back to normal. This is one of those songs that just calms my mind. I've been a huge fan of PJ Harvey's and Thom Yorke's since the 90s. This track with them is just perfection! I also had the pleasure of seeing PJ Harvey perform live and it stands out as one of the most amazing concerts of my entire life. 20 out of 10!
PJ Harvey absolutely amazing songs albums musician artist & live. Thom Yorke ain’t too bad either…both gel together on this track…..Check out PJ requests sent also…Teez ? 🦡
Nice Collab ⚡ 👌Their Voices blend so well on here ! P J Harvey is an English musical artist but someone who has never been on my radar. I believe she is quite "avant garde" so I need to check out some more by her ASAP! I'm sure I must of heard something she has done definitely 🤔 good one 👍
@@CA5124 Broken Harp is more of a "deep dive" tune, IMO. I love it, but would recommend many other songs before that one, honestly. 'Down by the Water' is probably her most known song. Man-Size, Send His Love to Me, Me-Jane, Dress, Sheela-na-gig are some early classics. The Devil, Angelene, On Battleship Hill for some latter career songs. Much different styles from her early to later career work.
Lots of great music in the British alternative and indie scene - try My Favourite Dress by The Wedding Present or Barney (and me...) by The Boo Radleys
