No, this mechanic was put in place so PJ'ers don't steal loot from other players who did far more damage. ALTHOUGH, this problem has already been accommodated for by making PJ'ing impossible until 1 of the players fighting dies. After a player gets a kill, the damage done to the surviving player should reset to 0, and the loot should go to the next person who kills him, not the player who is already dead.

Cause looters are not stupid, if you see some one goes down you know where the death is. Its more to defend from new looters, people did that crap all the time. If you see the kill ofc you're going to stand on the square.
Pretty sure the loot shows up for the guy who fought him before you and they haven't logged out, it's no glitch it's just high damage output versus lower damage output, they did more damage so its their loot.
Seems stupid, pvp isn’t who can do the most damage, it’s who’s skilful enough to kill the opponent, the first guy clearly wasn’t as he died to him so if anything he should be after torvesta in the proverbial loot pecking order, not before
the mechanic is just in place so that you don't have 1 itemers running around rushing someone mid fight while they're low hp, and then getting the loot. with the pj timer, it's relatively outdated but that's what happens when you make a game out of a backup from 2007

The minute that person dies, that logic should reset to 0, and whoever does the most damage next at least, should then be set to take the loot, but it would be better whoever gets the last hit is looter, at least in non multi zones.

People complaining that it shouldn't be your loot is dumb. It's pvp, not an honorable duel among gentlemen, but a no rules mass area. it's the wild west. They need to incorporate code where damage done is reset after death. This would resolve the issue, but question is, will it break other things such as PVM?
That's interesting! Why do you think it'd break PVM, though? The game can register when you get a player kill over PVM kills, example being the KD ratio by Edgeville Bank. I don't think it would confuse the two types of kills imo
Upvote: If a player dies 5 seconds after the player who they killeds damage is reset to 0 (5 seconds is required for double venge deaths or just double deaths meaning it resets once they are already in their spawn location). Can also apply this concept to people who loot glitch, just make it so players in single combat zones have their damage taken reset every 20 seconds as if they die it'll always be the person who killed the persons loot.

Wildy isn't 1v1's that's what the duel arena is. If you want a fair 1v1, don't enter a free for all. If you die to a rusher then you deserve to have died.

If you don't want to fight someone then have someone else take over, then I say it again... go to the duel arena. Part of the wildy is getting out alive with your spoils. The wildy is NOT somewhere to go for fair 1v1's.

The reason people go to wildy is because you dont want to do outlasts you want to go for K.O.'s thats why duel doesnt work. Plus stakes take too long. Have you ever pked or do you just watch vids?

Of course it wasn't ur loot You rushed them after a fight. Nothing needs to be done You can't expect to get the loot from rushing a guy that was just out of a full real fight
you're missing the point, the pvp isn't some place where you have a fair 1vs1, the winner is whoever stays alive and can claim the reward regardless if the last KO was a rusher who 5hit someone with claws, you're simply being fooled by the idea that the loot belongs to you because "you put the longest amount of effort into the kill".
It probably is a glitch, I pked for years before EOC update and the loot would have always gone to Torv. So either the 07 team finds this system better, which doesnt seem the case as sometimes it is Torvs loot, or its glitched.
Thats not loot glitching, these aren't pvm deaths (you'll see only bones appear). These instances are just the algorythm deciding the previous opponent gets the loot. You may not agree with the choices the responsible algorythm makes, but it is a different mechanic. (Editted for clarity)

Your rushing after fighting ppl and expecting the loot. It's not a glitch . Just cause u tb and kill someone after a fight doesn't mean you deserve kill...its never been like this nor should it ever be the case.
I've seen it said a couple times already, but here it is one more time: the loot is credited to the player that does the most damage in an extended amount of time (this is NOT a glitch). In the example of the Elder Maul clip, if that was intended as your loot, you would have received a message in the chat box along the lines of "What was Bitcoin God thinking of challenging you?" I guarantee that Bitcoin God's previous opponent (who dealt the most damage) received that message and hopefully rushed back to collect his prize. Not gonna lie, this video basically consisted of you trying to snipe kills, and I think that's low. I do enjoy watching your videos, but please don't complain about these things when you're using a method like this... you deal less damage, and therefore don't deserve the loot.
Yes you are so right, the first dead guy CLEARLY deserves the loot from the second dead guy. If you cant tell, that's fucking sarcasm. Dead people don't deserve loot drops, its really that simple. If you die, any damage you have done should be considered meaningless in the algorithm.
You're raging about the "loot glitch" but killing someone with 100 damage after a fight shouldn't make it your loot anyway. That's like saying if you PJ you should automatically get the loot. All they need to do is make damage reset when you enter a safe zone to make it fair.
what are you talking about? if he killed his opponent, he got sent to the safe zone so his damage should be reset but he is still losing the loot so its a glitch...
Or find a more efficient way to counter PJing so it’s not much of a problem and actually give the loot to the person who actually DID the work. Why the hell should the loser of the fight get the credit and loot for someone else’s kill? It’s just not fair.
Doing the work isn't lowering someones food, that takes zero skill. What Torv is doing is not honourable, yes.. However that should exist, you have enough time to loot that you can go bank all your gear, put on dhides and a shield & bring new food.. you see good players do it all the time.

Maybe you not getting loot is intentional. It removes the incentive to act like this. No one would pk properly since it'd be more lucrative to rush someone after they won a fight. We'd end up with pking turning into "how fast can I rush someone, loot, and tele before I get rushed?"

Even going by that flawed logic, that enables other scummier people to exploit this mechanic to never lose their loot. And thats even worse than the rushing, so any way you look at it this needs to be fixed.
Or at least implement a system where if you die, all damage you have dealt gets reset in the algorithm, meaning you cant get drops after you die. You sucked enough to die to that person, so there is no reason you should be getting loot drops because someone else was good enough to kill them (no matter how scummy) This is the wildy, not the duel arena.

My onion: The loot should go to whoever did most damage total in MULTI areas, in 1v1 areas it should go to the one who got the finishing hit regardless how much damage was made previously. To fix some of the rusher part could be like adding a cooldown on teleport ability after using special energy bar.. Such as "you can't teleport for next x seconds after using a special attack." To give them time to react. Maybe make it so you can eat foods slightly faster aswell? PVP areas should be scary and ruthless. If ya don't wanna lose bank, don't pk with bank. Anywayyy cool vid!
For those saying this isn't a glitch, peel your eyes open and look at how many content creators that pk have vids where the loot isn't theirs even though they go into fights with players with full hp. Torvesta did a video showing how the "glitch" occurs. It might not be a glitch in the traditional sense, but it shouldn't happen, more so when the opponent lost the fight by dying. I get that it frustrates players when they get rushed, but pking is meant to be dirty and outsmarting the other person, no matter how "evil", counts as a win. As long as the game rules aren't broken and you don't sit there bullying the guy your fighting, no one should complain, afterall, everyone knows what they're getting into lol. Great vid Torvesta!
That video was different, it showed how a kill would be registered as a PVM death. Hence why the bones dropped to the floor. Here, there are no bones, it's not a PVM death, and the kill/loot is for another player. That's a whole lot different.
If you’re pjing and someone did more damage from the pre fight before your Ko why should you get the loot lol? It’s like in pvm if someone kos something but I did more damage why would they get the loot
