Loud Like Love - Placebo Love on an atom, Love on a cloud, To see the birth of all that isn't now Can you imagine a love that is so proud? It never has to question why or how So I'd abandon the love in my dreams When I wake up I'm soaking in my sheets Breathe Breathe Believe, believe, believe, believe For all of our youth We have craved them Their beauty and their truth Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe Believe, believe, believe, believe Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe Believe, believe That we are loud like Love on an atom Love on a cloud To see the birth of all that isn't now Can you imagine a love that is so proud? It never has to question why or how For all of our youth We have craved them Their beauty and their truth So we name them And somehow they pull us through We have craved them For all of our youth Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe Believe, Believe, believe, believe We are loud like love We are loud like love We are loud like love We are loud like love We are loud like love We are loud like love We are loud like love We are loud like love We are loud like love
The first time I listened to Placebo was when I was in my first year of college. A man in an office was playing 20 years, I was passing by, and came back to ask: "Which song is it?" First thing I did arriving at home was searching for the song, and here I am, 4 years later, loving Placebo. :)
My daughters got me hooked on them after they heard one of their songs on vampire diaries a few years ago. Now I've got my hubby, their step dad, hooked on this band and my fave band The Cure
Led Zeppelin and Rush swapped back and fourth as my favourite band from 1981-2008 and I knew that nobody would ever topple them....until Placebo came along! Now it's Placebo and Daughter as my favourite two bands of all time.
How different is their sound today! To be fair I didn't expect that abrupt change, even concerning their typical style and the stream they came from. They're always assessed as an alternative band and I'm proud of this definition because truthfully they succeed at merging rock with electronic music. Formerly the electronic influence wasn't that thick and deep, most likely it stuck to a rock form instead of crossing keyboards, it was also more melodic. The paradox is that this band hit so many fans over the years and they round off every night through the vent of emotions and scream they convey from the stage to the public. I want to commend their flawlessness on stage as well; they're perfect and the set is outstanding, they never let me down and I bet they're well received all over the world, definitely marked as the founders of a new progression, they carve the name of the alternative scene with a few other bands whose sound is quite akin, something as melodic and paradoxical as supplied by Brian's band. And here's a vast scale of songs I want to relate to because each track fetches the main moments and the typical circumstances of everyday life, they mostly refer to drugs and alcohol but there's so much more to argue about. Just for example they delve into the emptiness, they point out some harrowing situations by a deep and breathtaking vibe, sometimes the effects they use on live exhibitions turn out to be even more suitable and prone for the theme they talk about. I want to sing along with them and our nothing short of critics never deny the power and the strength this band holds and the passion never looks to run out. Therefore my addiction is motivated and noticeable and you can't slam your door in front of the ones who grasped how marvelous and worthwhile being addicted to Placebo could be. They lately caught up with Loud like love and hopefully they'll rush out several new tracks and some new anthems (they're the never-ending anthem) in a few years. If you scan their lyrics you spot the sense of every song in its easiness, that's also the pursuit of their standpoint, but it keeps being natural and it doesn't get into politics or Economics allegedly. It sticks around for giving you the impression of a simple formula to light up your brain, not to widen any political or religious topic. Honestly I'd love to....... Get to enjoy this all!
