Hi! Loved this video, thanks for debunking the hoax. I do however want to mention that I've been growing my Phalaenopsis without any media in a glass vase for about four months now. I fill the vase with water and let the roots soak overnight with a tiny drop of fertilizer. Dump the water out and let the roots breath for 2 days. Then repeat. I have, since using this method, seen a new leaf emerge, new roots forming both from the main "trunk" and also at the ends of the old root. It's also reblooming on 2 previous spikes. None of the older leaves are rotted or showing signs of distress... Perhaps they can be grown without substrate... Or atleast Phals can. Thoughts?
@@petrichor7121 yes I put it upside down in a clear plastic cup. With just about 1/4” of the leaves in the water. Then I mist the top roots. Or you can also put another cup on top to keep the humidity in.
@@SunshineDesignsViera Thank you so much 💓.. I had found another video with something similar and started because I really don't want to lose this orchid! I do so appreciate this! 💚 How is your plant now? Did it make a full recovery?
Thanks for debunking more fake orchid videos! I was wondering if you sold your flower shop or decided to continue on? If you want to continue making videos, you could also branch out into other flowering plants, such as African violets are becoming more popular again, with people producing new cultivars with variegation and also streptocarpus. Just some ideas in case you're looking for some. Thanks again for a great video!
There are many normal, natural ways to regrow roots. Watch my rehabilitation method here:You'll Never Throw Away Dead Orchids After Watching This! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8XgOQQDwJR4.html
Roots will grow following the green biomass. If you are asking about stimulators for roots, there is none. Everything suggested here on RU-vid is a HOAX. To understand better biology of roots system watch another video Saving Orchid, Without Roots: How It’s Done! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AeCU6c47nCI.html
@@Classyflowers I also watched this, but it only critiques the other creator's contents and exposes the hoax (justifiably so.. I've lost orchids because of them!) and describes orchid roots; it didn't show how to regrow the roots. However I found something on another channel that looks like it will work so I'll try that. It has all the necessary components for healthy root regrowth (pretreatment with nutrients, light, air movement and humidity). Thanks for your replies though.. still appreciated!
If you look back in some of her older videos, there are some with steps to take when you bring them home from the store, for the next time one catches your eye.
