The black wall is a great idea the only thing I would suggest is making it inset a bit further in so that you could place cars halfway in-and-out of the tunnel as if they're driving through
The black tunnel actually creates a bit of an optical illusion with the reflection, so it almost looks like the road plate continues through. Think it looks great.
Oh yeah, the Sanctorum looks a lot better where you have it. Sitting it next to the Bugle makes more sense than moving it next to Sesame Street. The tunnel looks so nice now that it's constructed. It'll stick out like a sore thumb, but it's better to just place the Sanctorum next to the Bugle temporarily with the dark grey sidewalk until you're able to get more of the pieces you need. Pop Culture Street gets better with every expansion and great work with the goat boat giving a tour of the street, that's creative.
The Sactorum looks great in that corner! I think it fits very well. Sitcom tower should stay where it is. Adding a little depth to those tunnels will be a great revision when you get more parts! Loving the city!
The tunnel entrances look nice! It would be fun to build a half vehicle attached to the black wall! One going in one tunnel entrance and another one going out of another tunnel entrance. Just a fun thought.
Both the Sanctum Santorum and Daily Bugle look SICK side by side. And all the action packed scenes outside makes it look even better. Also, those new tunnels look amazing! I really like the black wall instead of just table legs. You and José did an amazing job!
I like the Sanctum at the front corner. It may not be as tall as Ghostbusters but that's okay they frame it well in the views you showed. It's a great layering of buildings, smaller and growing bigger, it lets you see tonnes of details on all of them!
Great update! why not split 1 car in half and stick it to the tunnels…1 is going in the tunnel, the other is going out of the other tunnel… it could even be a wormhole connecting both locations 😄
I think that little turtle side build could be great on your docks for like coast guard dock like a check point and radar. Great work bricksie love how the black tunnels creat mirror so looks like road goes into the darkness.
Bricksie I see what you mean by the sanctum being too short. So a strategy I did was actually putting gargantos on top of the sanctum. It adds some nice height and color to the set!
That looks great! I like the tunnels, and it would be near to add the depth to them, if you both would want that. The aquarium and zoo look great too!! But I do miss that slanted roof and overhang canopy of the old aquarium, such an awesome design.
Hi Jordan, great video as usual. Love the tunnel entrances and I definitely agree that you should extend the depth with a bit more road and tunnel sides once you have more parts, would look even better. Pop Culture street is looking amazing and I like the Sanctum Santorum where you have it, all the minifigures add so much interest too and I don't think the duplicates matter, it's Lego so anything is possible!
I really like the the black covering in the tunnel because it makes a reflection and I just dont know why that Gorr the God Butcher is in the set because he has no interaction with the goat boat but I also like the place you put the sanctum sanctorum so keep up the good work.
I agree I love the boat but I hate when lego puts mini figs that have no connection to the build because it makes it more expensive and I don’t want to display it inaccurately to the movie anyway
Yes adding one more road plate to the inside of the tunnel with black walls surrounding the inside creates more depth thus creating a more realistic tunnel
Looks great, glad to see Josée assisting still….pop culture street is looking amazing…don’t know if I love the Sanctum next to the Bugle though…keep up the great work!!!
Love how Pop Culture St. is looking! I had a thought for light gray 2x2 tile instant gratification. Along the edge of the table (the end closest to ghostbusters hq and Dr. Strange) it looks like mini figs would just fall off if they were walking along that sidewalk. Perhaps you could add some landscape detailing with a row of low hedges or a planter. Even if it was only 2 -4 studs deep along that edge it could probably buy you enough tile to make the switch on the sanctum sanctorum and it would provide a really nice clean finished look at the end of Pop Culture St.
You should build a half car on that one tunnel and attach the car to the wall to make it look like it's going through. I think that would look pretty sick.
I wasn't planning on getting the Thor Goat Boat, but I love where you put it and am thinking of placing it over my SitComplex too. Love the Sanctum Sanctorum. Mine is on a Fedex truck scheduled to arrive today!
Absolutely love your videos and your Lego town is WICKED AICK EHH! I am totally OCD and it drove me nuts that you did not put the 2 flat 2x4!tile pieces connecting the road plates. (The tunnel closest to the mountain) Help from Daytona Beach Florida! I look forward to your next video. You 2 are totally awesome
I was just looking at some of the older TNMNT sets. My kid has been getting into the series and I know he'd love them, but man oh man, some of them are pricey!!
Bricksie me and my friend are going to start a lego city together. We each have a ton of sets and were going to take a lot of inspiration from yours. I'm not half the builder you are but I think it will turn out great. Thank you for inspiring me and you have a mind blowing lego city. It looks phenominal.
It looks really great! I would love to have that kind of room to do something like that with a Lego City Display. Working on my Sanctum, about haflway done. It looks amazing.
Ever think of maybe doing a Toon Town style tunnel entrance? With all the Loony Toons, Disney sets and mini figs you have, it could be a good way to separate your city up. Plus, it would be a great homage to "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
Really love the tunnels blacked out it looks sleek and tidy and really adds to the vibe back there well done ! I think the sanctum looks out of place for me personally I get more European architecture vibes from the sanctum so it l think if you put the stark tower where the sanctum is , next to the bugle. Move the dino museum up one base plate the sanctum could look good alongside it. Thanks for the update these city vlogs are the best
You could use the Light and Gate from the Turtles’ van set for one of the tunnels! It’d be cool to have a horse drawn carriage up on the platform’ pathway.
Hi Bricksie, have you ever considered adding a comic book store on pop culture street where all the characters are coming to life off the pages and inhabiting the city. Could have some cool story telling potential. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to every day!
looks great overall! You should try pushing the back wall of the black tunnel further back and replace it with an actual mirror... it could make it feel like there's another city on the other side!
The tunnels would definitely look better if you added just a little bit of depth as you were suggesting. Half base plate would be plenty with a little bit of black on the sides going inward too. It's not bad right now, but that would make it perfect.
It be cool to extend the tunnels and then add a mirror back there to add an allusion that there’s something back there like the new placements for the sanctum
The Turtles mini-build road block can (for now) go down by the zoo because it's under construction, and police car can chase the tank-truck the Turtles drive...that might look oky for now. Just a thought :) Hope you are letting Mrs Bricksie get her rest...bring her tea, she might like that, ya?
I would love to see the tunnels extended in slightly, even just one roadplate would really boost the look of them in my mind. Also, no landspeeder on pop culture street? That would be a nice touch ^^
hi bricksie, just a suggestion: how about painting those white walls in the back.ground with a sky with clouds or something? youve probably heard it before, but it would really give the room more atmosphere in my opinion.. cheers
Just an idea for the tunnel entrance. What about having Wile E. Coyote painting the tunnel like he did in the cartoons. Just a thought. Looks great just the way it is too though.
Don't worry about duplication of characters... It's a Multiverse of madness lol :P. Great video, keep up the good work! I hope everyone has a fantastic day! :D
Multiverse on deck! But I do see your concern about duplicating. It's not fun when you see the same characters come back all over the place. I actually liked the sanctum by it's lonesome on that corner. It really pops. But, there is something to be said about keeping it where it is too. it fits the marvel theme and even though it is smaller than the other two buildings it still anchors very well.
Time 5:20 a tunnel would be an end to the road and the piece of wood would not be seen. Time 5:30 there is a small but large space to make a custom train stop. It's just my point of view and an opinion of my mind. Cheers!
Two things.. One, I think the Sanctum Sanctorum is best displayed in a less prominent place. That's kinda the whole point, that it's hiding in plain sight on a street where it's totally nondescript. If it has to be a corner building, then it might go better swapped with the Sitcomplex. And two, if you need more light grey tiles to finish it, no problem, just take them from the other Sanctum Sanctorum. :P
Could you build another mountain range to separate the Uptown City from the Amusement Park area, add a similar tunnel going into the mountain to end the roadway?
Bricksie: placing new Lego sanctum sanctorum in the city second MOC sanctum sanctorum:too little is known about the multiverse, we have violated the stability of the space-time continuum
The daily bugle red fire escape might look good on the red rollercoaster? I just can't imagine after the upgrade you will need two of them on the same building.
