Placing the SMC Pro Picket 

I bought a long picket to see about making anchors.

For top hole placement did he remove the fixed cable from the middle of the picket. The ones a I purchased have fixed cables and it looked like he also had a fixed cable until he got it hammered down all the sudden the cable seems to be fixed to the top?
