I'm also a mood reader. it's so hard to be like "I'm gonna read this this month". I just end up impulsively picking up something else. so tbh, your system seems like a good thing to try out. a list, but with options lmfao

Truee! I used to set up a TBR and then one day tried to read thru it even tho I’m not in the mood for that book, and ended up putting it down until now🙈

I just make a list with no particular order and if I don't feel like anything, I do read something else but most of the time I end up reading 90 percent of what I planned to

The Mechanisms (a band whose genre I would describe as steampunk) also have an Arthurian Legend retelling in space but with Wild West elements. The album is called High Noon over Camelot and it's kind of a mix of narrating and actual songs

Your cursive handwriting is very pretty. I wish I had that kind of dedication to make a bullet journal. My one friend does this thing where she has two plastic bins. Ones for books that she hasn’t read, and the other bin is for books she started reading midway and needs to finish.

For the readathon I recommend the gentleman's guide to vice and virtue! It's on stroytel and I flew through it while doing chores. I even made a note that it was perfect for readathons because it read so smoothly. (It's also a queer ya historical romance.) Currently reading Autoboyography and that's going very smoothly as well. Ebook is on Storytel, which is a huge plus.

Hi Leoni! I spotted A Long Way to A Small Angry Planet on your library list, I recently read it and gave it 5 stars! It’s really good but also a sci-fi (which maybe makes it a little less interesting for u but I’m going to continue anyway), it’s VERY character-driven and a good way to introduce yourself to the sci-fi genre. You don’t have to read it ofcourse but if you do ever want to pick up a sci-fi, this one’s really good!

for a bookmark, i use an index card where every day i write page # i’m on/ total page #. i like knowing where i was every day and then by writing the date i know what books i read in what order

Dutch is such a fun language as a Swede. Because it’s complete gibberish and then like every fifth word is the exact same as in Swedish. So I can understand some but also no I understand nothing :)

I am participating in reading challenges on storygraph and one of them is catagorized into "Seasons of the year" and every season has like 5 or so prompts, so I always want to fulfill these and then I can do additonal reading aswell. Helps me plan a bit already :)

omg! I just spotted Other Minds on your Notion tbr and felt a NEED to comment. I loved that book so much and it was such a surprise. I don't read a ton of non fiction so I really wasn't expecting this random non-fiction about octopuses to become one of my favourite books but it did it! it's actually the only book I've given 5 stars to so far this year. It was so fascinating and charming, the author had a way of writing that was honestly just delightful. I never expected to enjoy and love a non-fiction the way I did with Other Minds

Hi! I was rewatching one of your old vlogs and saw that you wanted hype for Fable. Here is HYPE!!!!!!! It was so good, I immediately bought the sequel and flew through it. It felt very nostalgic in its good simple sea-faring adventure, while having really interesting family/romance dynamics (as well as great found family). The world is intriguing and subtly vivid, the main character is strong and developed. Highly highly recommend!!! :)

I am really interested in your reading experience as a non-native English speaker as you seem to read a lot in English How do you deal with words that you don't know? Especially as you also listen to audiobooks I can't find any video like this and this is sad because I sometimes feel more tired that entertained when reading :(

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius is one of my all time favorites! I have read three different English translations of it, all with a very different feel (since it was originally written in ancient Greek, the philosophical lingua franca of the time). If you enjoy Meditations would highly recommend Letters on Ethics by Seneca, another Stoic philosopher. Great translation and a beautiful hardcover if you can find it.

I was thinking of romances to recommend, but realized they all tend to end in heartache lol. Maybe I seem some recs too. I loved Prince Myshkin, though The Idiot isn't my favorite Dostoevsky. And I just saw Piera Forde raving about Atlas Six . Meditations is a perfect bedside companion. Reading something from a person who lived 1000s of years ago is so cool to me. The king of ancient Rome is talking to you!

I'm a mood reader, too. Sometimes I make a list of books for the next month, to motivate me to read more. But most of the time, I pick up a book from my tbr and read this (or I'm reading in a reading round (is this the correct english word?) on a bookcommunity, I love it). Dutch sounds so beautiful! 😍 Do you have open bookshelfs in the Netherlands? I had the idea, that you can do a video about it, browsing through the town and looking for books. If you could do that, or like to do =), I would love it. Happy reading this month! PS: Because you like reading romance books now, I can recomend "Pride and Prejudice" and "Jane Eyre". I love both =) Or maybe you could read "Jane Eyre" in the autumn, because it has a dark vibe.
