You have the most soothing, sweet voice. I could literally listen to you read the dictionary. :) You're journal looks great! It's fun to see you progress and work through your process and find what works best!
I love my bullet journal!! I'm working on my second notebook now and to be honest my completed first one is a treasure to me already. There is something wonderful about creating your own personal space each day in a journal that not only helps you stay on top of things but also both captures memories and allows for complete creative expression all in one ... 💖
I love this! Thank you for sharing. You inspired me to finally buy a bullet journal and I am so happy with mine. Now if I only had the courage to show it here in RU-vid....
Jen, don't worry about your alleged lack of artistic talent! You are learning to play with it as you go and your Mood Mandala is very pretty. Even Kara doesn't add the mandala decorations every day. I'm enjoying your Bullet Journal videos and hope it continues to work well for you so we can have more videos from you as it develops!
I am really enjoying watching you experiment with the various bullet journal spread ideas. You seem to be getting a kick out of the freedom it allows you and your enthusiasm is infectious! I love the bullet journal myself and felt the same way about it when I found it about a year ago.
Thanks for sharing Jen. It's cool that you are inspired by Boho Berry (as many are)... she's amazing. You also have inspired so many in this community for so many years and I am excited to see how you will come into your own with this system. Thanks again and happy planning!
You don't have to be a perfect artist, just as long as you try it and do it. I admire that about you. You get things done. I use to be like that. lol. You go, girl. xoxo
I love everything about this video, so this is going to sound ridiculous for my first comment.... but YAAAAA!!! The grey grid is back!!! It makes the color looks so much better haha! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
I'm so obsessed with Bullet Journals, but have yet to give it try. I'm so not creative at all and feel like it would stress me out to come up with ideas all the time. They are so so so super cool though. I may start in the new year. We will see. Yours are so nice! You are inspirational to me, in yet ANOTHER way. :)
Loving this series! You have a gorgeous set up with your navy cover and pen case. The papers you chose are perfect! Can't wait to see more videos 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 xo Beth
I'm considering getting into bullet journaling so I really enjoy watching these videos. I would love to see a closer look into what activities you track using your tracker and how you organize your daily pages. Thanks for sharing!
Thx for sharing your bullet journal. I just started using bujo the 1st of July so enjoy watching your videos. I'm a Christopher Allen fan too and drooled over his pen case when he got it on vacation. Glad you got one too! All the best to you and your family.
I love bullet journaling and yet ALSO think I'm not artistic. You've got great handwriting and attention to detail though which is a perfect place to start!
Sooo not on topic but kind of is.... happy to hear you made the leap to DVC! We've been members since 2011 and love it! I noticed you typically stay at the deluxe resorts and DVC is built for that. Enjoy your membership and all the amazing feels that come with it! ✌🏻
I am loving my Bullet Journal, I'm so glad I took the plunge and started one. I noticed some things I didn't really use, finish or enjoy last month, so I chose not to use them this month. And SHOOT, I am in Disney a week and a bit after you, it would of been fun to run into you! xoxo
Your mood mandala is beautiful!! I did a spread for mood based on the phases on the moon, (Bohoberry inspired, of course. LOL) but I think next month I will try the mandala. I did do the little graph for self care, but with a slightly different take, based on finding balance in my life and it looks so awesome!! I keep going back to admire it and I love filling it out.
I have never thought I could bullet journal because of my lack of artistic talent, but I love some of the things that you are tracking and my planner has just become too much recently. I might try it
I absolutely loved this video and these types. I would love to see another packing video for your upcoming utah trip and a what's on your packing list, if possible, thank you and keep making your wonderful videos, congrats on pregnancy 2, can't wait to meet him!
-Really enjoyed, love the way you take it easy and how everything is simple and works for you. I'm a student and I've tried to make my bullet journal very fancy and beautiful but it just didn't work and I ended up using it as a regular notebook for quick notes, I'll try making it more simple and see how it goes. Yours look great and productive at the same time :)
Ok, so I am going to sound like a weirdo but I swear that you are my better looking clone. I have loved nearly all your content since I started watching because of all we have in common - love of organization, Disney, purses. Nearly everything you cover is something that is on my list of hobbies or fits my personality perfectly. Then I got into bullet journaling. I still loved your Erin Condren videos, but found bullet journaling fit me better. Literally about two months later you are on here talking Boho Berry and Goulet. I finally beat you to the punch on something LOL. But seriously, it is too funny to me how much we have in common!
I started back bullet journaling August 1. 2017. I have been enjoying Boho Berry's a month in my bullet journal I think it is called. I did not put down goals for this month in my bujo. Right now my focus is on just keeping up with my bujo and drinking a lot of water each day. After 21 days I will consider adding something to the mix if I feel ready for it.
I'm thinking I would like to start with the mood mandala. I also like the idea of self-care and tracking how it effects my mood. I think this is a terrific idea. I'm using the horizontal EC for journaling, which I am really digging right now. I like that there is no pressure to write a full page of journaling. Thanks for all of your suggestions on journaling and mood tracking. You are the best!
This is awesome! I have the happy planner but find that I thrive with lists as my tasks don't always happen on the day I schedule them. And I sometimes feel I have too much space but not enough space at the same time for certain parts I'd like to "plan." I think I'll try some of these ides just in a spiral notebook to see how I do!
Great job!!! I enjoy Christopher's channel as well. :) I love the mood tracker. Thinking I may add this to my life. I have been going through a difficult family emergency...it will be a month tomorrow. I think it's time to get that area more stabilized....at least in my heart. Most say I'm even steven....but I need this better in my heart as well. :)
@PrettyNeatLiving Hi Jen, just a little note to say I subscribed to Christoper Allen after you recommended him in your last video, he's everything you said he would be and I enjoyed binge watching his videos immensely. I really love the idea of the Mood Mandala thank you for sharing take care 📚 Margaret ❤️
Jen I know you love learning and researching. May be you'd want to read about Carl Jung (I'm sure you know who that is already) and MANDALAS, as a way of therapy, or ART itself as a way of therapy. I am fascinated by it specially now that neuroscience is beginning to explain the benefits scientifically!! Jung drew a MANDALA every morning as a sort of 'Miracle Morning' type ritual. It sure is therapeutic and HEALING for traumas like accidents and illnesses and anything like that anxiety or PTSD. It greatly benefits anyone really. A HUGE aspect of the ART THERAPY is NOT to be ARTSY per say (se? lol) but to just use your pencils or brushes or what have you, and just make what you feel like making without any structure. You'd be surprised how many people who never considered themselves creative, have actually realized they can be. xo
I really love the mood mandala & how that works but... I'm trying to think of a more simple way of doing it [particularly, for my boyfriend to do it in his bullet journal since I really don't feel the need to implement that sort of system]. Maybe like a mood ladder where you "climb up/down" as the month goes -- like something you could put at the side of the daily spread pages? I'd like to try that out & see how it'd go! Or maybe make a page that's kind of like a Candy Land-esque game board where each space is a mood.
Hi Jenn! Thanks for sharing. I'm so inspired by you to pickup my bujo and planner again. I miss it, but it hasn't been a priority for me lately. Wondering if you've ever done a video or blog post about planning a trip to Disney world? I want to take my family within the next 6 months or so and would love if you had any advice. We've done DLR already! 😊
Love this video ... is it therapeutic for you ? Do you not use you Erin Condrin ? Suggestion - take a pic of the previous month so you only need to look at your phone or email the pic and view it on your computer screen so it's bigger and easier versus going back and forth
HI! If you have the small Martha Stewart circle cutter you can use that to draw circles quite easily just using a pen in the holes instead of the blade. Just a tip, I use it to draw circles and I know you have a lot of MS craft tools. :):):)
Hi Jen! I recently purchased an Erin Condren Academic Calendar and I was wondering what your favorite type of pen(s) to use are? I either want a marker-like pen or a really smooth pen. Thanks! (If you already have a video on this please feel free to let me know and I'll watch that instead of you writing it all out!)
I like using the Rushon Petite pen in my ECLP. Smooth fine tip marker style pen with no bleed through, very fine - www.jetpens.com/Teranishi-Rushon-Petite-Pen-0.3-mm-Black/pd/15199
Hey Jen, do you think you could do a video on being a Disney club member. We are thinking of becoming one and I would love to hear what you have to say.
Well, we've only been members for a couple of months and I tend to like to share those kind of advice style videos with some experience under my belt, so maybe in the future!
You inspire me so much to get my stuff together and start being more organised .. now I was was wondering if you can do a video on the difference bullet planning and using your Erin condren daily planner !? Do you still do both and how do they differ!?
I'm currently just using my bujo to plan. It's quite different because you need to set everything up yourself instead of working within the preset confines of a printed planner. It's really working for me right now 😊
Thanks so much for another bujo video! I bought one but it still sits blank...I guess I doubt my talent and hesitate to jump in with both feet, especially with my EC nearby. Love the mood mandala- beautiful way to see how your feeling even if there are a number of days that aren't so great. Thanks again for sharing Jen! Have a great time in Utah!
Bridgette It can be a bit intimidating. I found using an old notebook to be helpful because I wasn't afraid of "ruining" it. It helped me figure out how I wanted to use a bujo. Hope that's useful to you!
I'd really love to see you do a Disney holiday video. I'm off to DisneyWorld in November, (From Australia, which is a big trip) the week before you it looks like. The whole fast past/dining thing is a bit daunting, so it'd be great to have an 'advice' video from someone who is a seasoned Disney visitor! Also, I got into Christopher Allen as well from your suggestion. While I haven't watched a tonne of his videos, I do love his energy and his 'kindness' mantra!
I would like to see how truly beneficial it is, considering Jen was already staying on property. What about meal planning and adding CC. Have the type of restaurants changed to accommodate her. Will she be using more suite style rather than the standard room for cost efficiency on the DVC plan.
Again because of you i starting something new lol. A planner was wasn't working for me at all and my forgetful mind needed something to keep track of my chaotic life. BuJo seems to work great but because, again, my chaotic life it's hard to stay consisten. How do you do it? do you update daily or like once a week?
I'm considering getting into bullet journaling so I really enjoy watching these videos. I would love to see a closer look into what activities you track using your tracker and how you organize your daily pages. Thanks for sharing!
