in todays plan with me video I am showing you guys some of my recent hobonchi cousin experiments and weekly layout ideas. I am almost at the end of my planner and seeing fellow creators in Filofax has recently inspired me to be a little more creative in my notebook.

i LOVE the layout changes!! it's interesting seeing everyone switch to rings, but i just dont think rings are for me!

I loved this video! I always thought it was really neat how you always incorporate your artwork in your layouts. It makes your book uniquely yours. I have to admit I got a bit nervous when you mentioned ring planners. Nothing against the system because I know it works for many, but seeing so many channels jumping to the new “trend” kind of has turned me off a bit. I suppose that’s the nature of RU-vid, but it’s refreshing to have a content creator who just wants to find ways to make their current system work. So thank you!

Thank you! I honestly fell off the Cousin because of the vertical weekly section. Around December I debated, was tempted to get the A5 Hon (floral 😍). Before I knew it it was February and I ended up getting a Sterling Ink A5 Full Year. The vertical weekly drive me nuts, so I used the undated daily pages. Now I feel confident I’m going to change my weekly section to dashboard. Yippee 🤗

Very cool layouts! Might have to try make something like this in my old book to try it! And yes! Posca pens is my favorite pens ever. Nice to hear they work well with the paper of hobonichi!

I can honestly see you starting a bullet journal. It takes a little bit more effort, but the freedom it gives you is amazing. Also you can keep it as simple as you want it for busier weeks, and go artsy whenever you feel like it or have more time. Some journals have thicker pages too, and take paint pretty well. Personally I love my moleskine, but I know it doesn’t really have great gsm. Anyway love your videos!! ❤

I tried bullet journalling in 2021 and was in it for maybe 4 months or so? I really enjoyed it but found it was a little tooo much freedom for me LOL. I would love to revisit it one day; I will definitely have to check out Moleskine I have never tried their paper and I've always been curious! Thanks for being here

@torionpaper I get that, sometimes I feel like it’s too much freedom for me too. I’d like to not have to do anything for once😅. Moleskine is my favorite brand mostly because of the size of their kind of a5 notebook and the minimalist design of the cover. Paper is thin and cream coloured, but people say it lets ink bleed through. 🥲 anyway, thanks for replying! I really enjoy your content💙

the fact that you feel like you have to d something just because a lot of people are moving into rings is imo exactly the wrong thing about watching too many journaling content creators

This is so true! It is so interesting how trends and different influences can shape our decisions. I only have like 3 planner creators I watch but they definitely have a huge influence! I don't think it helps that I am at the very end of my cousin, and I have just been feeling antsy in general. Thank you for being here
