This is footage of an unstable hardish landing (in my opinion... judge for yourself) of an Airbus A319 landing at Koh Samui Airport. Watch how the wing (with the engine) dips steeply to the left as the aircraft bounces from the right side landing gear to the left side and back again. Also notice how the tail (backside of the aircraft) appears to skid!!
We are standing at Pagoda Khao Hua Jook Temple (hence the bells that are sometimes heard in the background) on Koh Samui, Thailand looking down and plane spotting at Koh Samui Airport (USM). Koh Samui is a very small airport with a limited amount of daily flights going in and out of Koh Samui. The majority of flights on and off the island are operated by Bangkok Airways who where also the builders of the airport. Construction of Koh Samui Airport started in 1982 and the airport was officially opened in April 1989. Koh Samui is located approximately 2 kilometers North of Chaweng Beach, one of the main tourist hubs on this Thai island located in the Gulf of Thailand.
The footage shown in this video is of a Bangkok Airways Airbus Airbus A319 arriving from Hong Kong Airport (HKG) at Koh Samui Airport (USM). This Airbus A319-132 has aircraft registration HS-PGN and the aircraft is named "Luang Prabang".
This Bangkok Air Boeing Airbus A319-132 aircraft with registration HS-PGN was delivered to Bangkok Airways in January 2009 and they appear to be the only operators of this passenger aircraft. This Airbus A319 had it´s first flight in January 2009.

This aviation footage from Koh Samui Airport (USM) is filmed on the island of Koh Samui located in the Gulf of Thailand Sea in Thailand. We are filming Koh Samui Airport from above at a beautiful monks temple called Pagoda Khao Hua Jook. This is one of Koh Samui´s must see attractions as it is also a view point offering fantastic views to the North, South, East and West of Koh Samui Airport. If you enjoy a birds Eye View of airports then this tropical airport is a plane spotters dream! Only drawback is the limited number of flights and the limited number of airlines!
