Gatwick Spectators area, I spent many happy days here as a child in the 80's and 90's with my Father. Back in the Days of Gatwick having a great variety of aircraft and airlines.
@Matt Beale, thank you for your comment. I am pleased to hear that you also spent many happy days on the Spectators Terrace. My dad and I would try and get down there at least twice per year if we could, and sometimes stay overnight as well. As you say, LGW had such variety of airlines and aircraft types back then.
@Paul Wallis, Thank you for your comment. LGW was a great airport back then, with loads of variety and lots of longhaul aircraft, especially in the morning. It does bring back many happy memories.
Great video and loved the Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines Boeing 747s, neither of which I got to see as they were already replaced by DC-10s by the time I got into aviation.
@James Botting's Airliner Videos, thank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear that you didn't get too see the NW & CO 747s. They looked and sounded great at LGW.
@Romeo Grigoras, LGW was great back in the early / mid 90's. Very busy, with a lot of Long Haul, and great variety of airlines and aircraft types. Sadly, most of this has gone now.
