I loved the twitch reveal when the hosts asked “when did we say this was a premium product “ and continued by saying “ one of the fun parts of buying a precon is upgrading it yourself”. I’m really worried to see how disappointing the eldrazi deck is gonna be.
The price discrepancy between this and the sliver deck is because they listed 8 of the new cards in the sliver deck at $30 and 2 at $15 ($270 total) Whereas this deck they haven’t valued them yet. If they did the same, Planeswalker Party will be worth more.
reprint value for the two decks shown is misleading, the sliver deck on mtggoldfish is showing completely unrealistic values for the newly printed sliver cards while the planeswalker deck isn't showing anything. There is actually more reprint value currently in the planeswalker deck than the sliver deck once you remove the values shown for the newly printed cards.
Super fail on their part. The Cat commander is nice though. But with it being in the high priced underwhelming precon I don't see the price of it being cheap.
@@adamgarcia5616 you can get all 4 depending for around 265-300 USD but I’m not sure they’re really worth all that. I could buy a mana crypt jeweled lotus and mox opal for the same and be much better for my decks
Great video mate! Being in the livestream, the way they jumped through holes in order to avoid explaining the inflated prices was just pathetic. Just sad that a game I loved for more than 25 years is where it is now...
Cool to see the Chain Veil reprinted, although it's odd that they chose Jeskai colors. Abzan, Jund, or Sultai would have been a better flavor fit. Plus we just got a Jeskai commander deck with LOTR.
You need to look at Guff Rewrites History... that could be a $50 card. I like this card better than Slivers. Slivers aren't fun to play or play against but this looks like it may make Planeswalkers a better Commander fit. Thumbs up.
Si dice paja esas tierras no ae usas solo va fetch shock triome basicas prismatic vista command tower todas las q producen color cualquiera acient tomb y urza saga
Silver deck is at 370 dollars cos they added the price of the new cards which are bloated atm while in planeswalker most of the new cards dont have a price yet so its sitting at 175 dollars atm.
Oh damn seeing these spoilers are making me nervous. I preordered the eldrazi deck because I’ve wanted a colourless deck for a while, and thought it was a great start. Not looking promising at all…
I don't know what to say, for these decks supposedly being premium I found them a complete letdown so far. The mana base is only above the average ones by a minor margin, big cards for the most part do not seem included (Chain Veil seems like an outlier). The value for the most part just isn't there.. Yeah, if you include presale prices for the new cards, which are not really realistic by any stretch. XD Then again the themes already don't really resonate with me all that much. The new cards, some look interesting, but also not that impressive that I'm like yeah WOW I need that card. Am waiting for the Enchantment deck, cause that one feels the most unique and interesting to me. Though it might not be, if it just turns out to be the same generic Enchantment deck we are used to. So yeah, lets hope for the best! But I might just skip this entire product, cause we are also getting a new set soon after and Dr.Who, which I might be more excited for, cause my wife is a big Dr.Who fan. :D
Pa$$ for me. I normally get the Commander Decks to get a variety of cards - but skipping this entire release - except for Draft at the LGS. I'll get $ingle$. Chainveil is the only card I really want.
i think that people expected way more for this price point. I personaly was expecting like. at least 2 to 4 $15+ lands in each of these. i would expect bare minium a few decent lands in the manabases. this deck was suprisingly okay but the sliver one is un acceptable. I was thinking that that one might have 3 triomes and a fabled passage or something but i think the most valuable land in it was like $2.50 or so. im pretty much just expecting that they wont include any lands over $5 at this point. then ill at least be plesently supprised if they actualy do it. personaly from looking at these deck lists, they do not seem stronger or more fun than the warhammer decks. at least to me. if they fail to meet that bar then they shouldnt be so much more expensive. fingers crossed for the eldrazi one. hopefuly there will be at least 1 big titan in it. Ulamog perhapse?
This 💯... These decks are going for 80 to $100 a piece... For 1/2 of the price you can go buy the Warhammer ones which were an absolute fucking home run for a premium commander deck. Every single card was given new art treatment in Warhammer style, there was like 16 new cards in each deck, solid mana bases... The decks were absolute fucking home runs... And right now you can get them for $180ish dollars for the four... I actually canceled my 340$ pre-order of these 4 after The sliver deck was revealed and was trash for the price...guff just made that choice feel absolutely correct.
The problem with prices of the new cards is it is distorted until tcg player allows all sellers to list. The face commander are listed for outrageous amounts and not really many sales at least but still annoying. The thick stock commanders are even listed for a lot and too me they are pretty much useless. The Lotr decks did the same where they started out at 300ish value bc of distortion and dropped back to a normal level. I don’t even really like looking at tcgplayer early as they are almost alway wonky. Sliver gravemother foil 7 listing starting at 74.75 (5 sales $75-85) so not many sales why pay that much for a single when you could get the deck right. On card kingdom it is for sale at $9.99.
The 10 new cards and chain veil are all I want out of it. The rest I can buy or already have multiple copies of. Slivers are definitely a better precon
Just no. Slivers have nice art, but they will need tons of work just to make the mana function. Its nice to get most, if not all the good slivers, but it can hardly be considered valuable.
You're going to have to spend $200 just to immediately upgrade the mana base in the sliver deck... Because the second you sit down at the table and you have slivers as your commander, you will be out of the game in three turns or less you do not have time to sit there and fuck around with tapped lands, and slow fetches... Absolute feels bad... If these decks were priced at $40 each I would say so far home run... But at 80 to 100 they can go fuck off
But how else is poor WotC supposed to survive? I also have to say, after LotR and CMM prices, it feels really weird seeing the pricing of TWoE. Feels weird an almost too cheap despite being at a regular price again. I don't like this feeling.
seems like the commander decks are the only fun part of commander masters... im really not looking forward to the booster boxes and collector stuff. its a shame because wotc made so much money on LOTR that this release doesnt matter in any way... its just a test to them
There really is no "value" as most of not all the cards in the deck will see a significant drop in price. It really is laughable that these decks are gong to be minimum 115 CAD.
I don't know man I'm honestly thinking from what I've been reading through all of the comments on all the videos about this that absolutely no one's going to disagree with you... These decks are absolute trash for a premium price they're equivalent of $40 Commander decks but selling for 80 to 100... They got 10 new cards instead of 15. Two foils instead of three, mediocre mana bases so far... And aside from the new commanders themselves, absolute dollar bin trash... Oh but the chainvail... They had to fucking reprint the chainmail in that deck everything else in the deck is $1 or less.... No one would buy that deck if it wasn't for the chainvail include.
For a premium sliver commander deck? sure seems like a regular commander precon deck. It does not add up to value so its not worth it and it's insulting for an off season april fools joke.
This sounds like the least fun of any deck to ever play.. I'm sure it succeeds fine, but I'm guessing when it's failing, it's the most frustrating deck ever. Not going to spec on cards, so if anything's missing from whatever, I'm fine with missing-out.
Honestly the mtggoldfish deck lists slivers at $373, which is absolutely at least half subject to imminent price correction. I would say it's worth like $110 for all the stuff that's in it, so it might be worth picking up just to resell when WotC has a reason to run out of reprints in 2025. Slivers are a middle-finger to the crowd, even if it immediately makes you a target, so it at least has culture value.
If one of its new cards gets played a lot it will be a great deck. Unlike slivers it actually has most of the cards I would want for this type of deck. Even the Chain Veil is there.
