Planet Crafter 1.0 - Getting the Best Start [E1] 

Ah! Memories! Barren planets, everything orange red, tier 1 drills, wind turbines, the rush back to base before oxygen runs out! Time for a restart for me too I think.

321 is life! Building in the depression isn't a big problem. Any machinery you build there will be obsoltete several times over before they get flooded. I usually place a couple of drills and windmills near the landing pod just to kickstart the Terraformation process. Because I want the unlocks faster. The first shelter/base doesn't matter before you need to build something that goes inside a base. You should have replaced the Lirma seed with the Golden in the Vegetube as soon as possible after you found it. And the second Golden should also have been used... A pity you didn't loot the Aluminium in the wreck you started exploring. ;-) A pretty good start. You're about halfway to Food Growers.

Seems to be a nice Let's Play, partially a guide too. I have been waiting for V1 for a couple of years now. The end game is very grindy so have just watched others. My starter spot is close to the small hill with rocks, since can utilize the uneven area for power and drills (direction South and East), giving short travel distance, reserving the flat space on land and future lake. Also I collect full inventory before returning to base. Storage is pretty cheap, so rather empty out wrecks and chests so do not need to return before much later. I mostly put up a pod close to a wreck and temporary store the loot there, for later transfer to base. Now I use some glitching and let pods float 1 level up (roughly where you put the foundation), where access it with a ladder (pod ground level, ladder, remove pod). That way free up some space on ground for grass and such later on, along looks slick (a Biolab with a x2 on top, and a Biodome, can stuff a lot in those, and Tree dome). Main storage outside, closets becomes a floor, later aligned with Rocket ramp and foundations with power and heat.

i would be happy to play multi-player with people soon!

As a hardcore player, I almost forgot how relaxing is to not spend the entire early game running around like crazy to unlock the T2 Vegetube and then Food 😂

I just started the game 3 days ago. I like exploring and crafting so i lowered the progress bar to 0.3 from 1.0. I did find the run button fast, that helped a lot. Did watch your 25 tips video. Way more advanced that where im on but very good info for the game. Thanks!

Great idea deconstructing heater T1 and making T2 as inside space is always needed more of. I read somewhere it is better to leave the gold chests unopened until later in the game and they will have better stuff added?

The most amazing thing is you don't have to take of your Equipment anymore to upgrade it don't know when this was added haven't played since Amphibian Stage was put in the Game. Edit: it is Aluminum it says so in the Game. 😛

Heh, I can't believe you forgot that the T1 Agility Boots uses Aluminium. Oddly the T2 Drills are actually less energy efficient than the T1 Drills, but this is the only exception I know of. I know why you said eight which is why I say you should start with five.

I bought this game when it first came out. I have over 800 hours in. But the 1.0 broke me. Don't get me wrong. I love the game. What I absolutely hate are the endings. There are three. How can a gaming company make a game like this that is great to play when you're stressed out and need to unwind, or you just love the game and like playing it, and give it 3 different endings all going from bad, worse to worst? I've never seen anything like it. Yet I still love this game. I've just given it my own ending. A middle finger to Sentinel Corp and I stay happily on my own planet with my new whatsit as a pet and my drones as servants. And I live happily ever after. The End. PS I'm really enjoying your playthrough

Is it true if you leave searching chests till later in the game when you have more terraforming completed they have better items in them? Or is that a myth
