Planet Eclipse CS3 Review: Peak Performance?

I have owned a LVR, CS1, CS2, GEO4 and now the CS3 I have to say the CS3 is my favorite. It is perfect ergo wise- PE finally made a gun with a perfect size rear grip. Also I always felt my CS2 grips were a little to close together, I love that the CS3 is slightly longer. It is imo perfect ergo wise and is super light As far as the shot. Yes it does appear in video that it does sound the same to the cs2 however in person it does slightly have a more pleasing sound signature. I hated the way the FL barrel looked as well I love that the new one is thinner and uses inserts. Efficiency was never a issue for me, if I can get one more pod out of my CS3 than the CS2 that’s good enough for me but I would never shoot enough paint to tell Excellent job PE

Agreed, all gold was the way to go. Only thing I didnt like was the shades of gold on the part swaps were a little off. But its unique.

Glad to hear you say you didn't care for how your Geo 4 shot paint. I had a mechanical 170R before that shot lasers out the box and I've been a bit disappointed with my Geo 4 to be honest. I like the markers features but the shot is not what I was expecting from my first somewhat high end marker.

I thought I was the only one with this issue till my local PE tech explained what jack said. Thankfully since replacing them I've yet to have an issue! 🙌🙌🙌

I will always swear by the Emek but the mechanical CS2 is the greatest thing I've ever used. The Infamous cam swap also makes it shine even more.

I'm a very technical person when it comes to troubleshooting and seeing Jack zero in on the issue is great.

I went back to my vanquish and VCOM after buying the CS2 and trying it for a month. It just felt cheap and the rear grip was bulking. And I have big hands. I may give the cs3 a go

Thanks for this! I also bought a cs3 a month ago and mine was doing the same thing! I took apart the whole asa and just lubed up everything and it still leaks sometimes. I have just been taking the tank off and putting it back on and it usually stops somehow.

My 170R had a solenoid seal issue. Knocked me out of team tryout day at our field. I couldn't gas up my gun so I couldn't run the course. Wish this didn't happen. But I like how fast they address these issues.

Dude mine had the same issue!!!!’ It was busted o ring in the reg. I was really bummed with my experience. I spoke to planet and they said first gen batch had this issue.

There's an old saying about Dye markers: "DMs leak even from the battery".

My brand new geo 4 won’t degas properly 90 percent of the time. Found others online with same problem and no fix😢

It's probably worth noting that oring manufacturers as a whole are slightly reducing the sizes in the same way that paint companies made smaller balls. Other companies are having issues with their oring suppliers as well.

I definitely didn't care too much for my 3.5, I liked my ice a lot more.

Sounds like when airing up, the fitment is slightly off, when airing it up.

So... I haven't played since about 2005. Back then I had a Nasty Impulse, and those smart parts markers back in the day had that really nice accuracy/consistency if you kept them clean. How is the accuracy on the markers today? I had shot a guy's emek when I was out at a field for the first time in 15ish years a while back, but he clearly didn't maintain it and it basically had the accuracy of an old pirahna. Anyway - I love the channel it's been a huge help as I'm getting back into it.

idk why, but for some reason, an $1800 marker operating off of 2 AA batteries is the funniest thing to me lol.

I think they need to figure out lipo rechargeable batteries and ditch the d and double a batteries

The back trigger spring isn’t even touching the spring return screw. That spring needs to be adjusted. Perhaps it’s a factory defect. 9:02

Hey have a quick question for you I have a DSR+ with the Iron Man pro kit and the fiend flow bolt system I just recently got it about two weeks give or take I took it out to the field about two times. It’s too bulky for me. I was looking at a planet eclipse CSR a friend of mine has it and he wants to trade what’s your opinion on that?

While they have increased the volume of the bolt system of the CS3 over the CS2, they definitely have not increased it by 50% as you say in the video.

I own the TM40 and shot the CS3 pretty extensively, I gotta say I still prefer the TM40.

Welp I just did a quote for a trade in for my geo 4 for a cs3. You sold me cause I love my geo 4 but I want some thing thats closer to the feeling of a geo 3.5 and it seems like the cs3 is that marker.

Maybe a little dust trapped from the color swap....

Grab a 180 and save yourself $800 they are virtually identical. If you just have the cash to burn go for it but if you want the same performance and all the same features get a 180

You had issues with Macdev and basically swore them off forever. Have issues with a PE double the price, and just got a different PE. Doesn't seem fair.
