The DAYS worth of time I spent getting the timing of my autococker perfect. It was a Frankenstein project with no mathching brands, my front block was literally all parts harvested from other markers. I miss that gun. 😢
I mean, cleats are a must with some of the fields with artificial turf, the layer of paint on everything will make regular shoes turn the field into a giant slip and slide and nothing is nastier than being full of months old busted paint the whole time.
The price of paintballs is the number one thing holding paintball back. Imagine how popular paintball would be if you could get a case for like $20. Airsoft is way lamer but it's basically free to play once you have a gun because you can buy airsoft bbs so cheap.
Just bought an Etha3 a little over a month ago and I'm absolutely in love with this marker. Not a ton of bells and whistles, but it's reliable and performs with the best of them.
I have already had mine since release. I don't know quite how but it's like DLX made this marker exactly for me. It feels perfect in my hands, points incredibly well, shoots SO smooth but gives the tiniest amount of "kick" to remind you that you are actually firing something. But the kick for me is straight backwards. The balance and weight are perfect for me and after adding the AA tip instead of the stock tip...it now sounds amazing to me. I love my Idol and won't be parting with it for a LONG time. Ice shot the R5, was too smooth for me, the 3 DSR+ I shot were slightly less smooth, barely noticeable, but I despise that reverse deuce trigger. I like the CS3 but personally, I don't like the look or the electronics of such an expensive marker. For 1-2k price I expect more than what the CS3 offers. The Luxe, imo, looks more attractive to me than any other marker out there, and has everything I want and need from a marker I'm going to spend my hard earned money on. The Idol absolutely won my heart. I believe at over 1200, your marker should enter highest end and provide something all other highest end provide or something only you or a few offer. The Luxe Idol now has an OLED screen, softer and most consistent shot, amazing ergonomics and is beautiful...then it talks to you as well. The M3+, though getting old, has its patented eye pipe, OLED screen again and is smooth as well. And remember dye has their patented UL barrel as well making almost all their markers sound just incredible. The Force 2 has their special aculock barrel system, is nicer priced and shoots quite smooth, likely helped by is slightly higher weight. Is has tried and true electronics and quite nice ergonomics. Now I come to the CS3, is has everything the other markers have, but nothing extra. I can't think of a single thing except I like the design of their eyes. However the fix to dirty tool less eyes is pretty universal. Have a spare set. I'd go for the R5 over the CS3 ATM. PE needs to release the CS4 and with something innovative for once. Reliability isn't enough anymore when every marker is reliable if you maintain them...in otherwords...clean them after each weekend and lube when necessary. Not rocket science.

Why? Mid-life splurge purchase. I got frustrated with my X7 bursting paint and winging. I almost just got a Mini that day. I went shopping and staring at markers and features and ... A week or so later, I splurge purchased a CS2. I splurged with some discretion--it was discounted since the CS3 was out. Still, it is stupid expensive for how I use it, but it's been great for the last few years. Zero issues case after case with super easy maintenance--just like if I had gotten an Etha but 3x the cost.
Inflation considered probably about where it should be. Like buying a new car vs. a used car though you can always get last years model for a better deal.
Here's a topic: NXL Chicago brackets. Will Diesel and the Ironmen make coaching and personnel changes if both teams underperform at Chicago? Their brackets look brutal. Yannow, to take a stab at going deep at WC on Sunday. Bc both teams are underwhelming. Alternately you can do teams that look like they're going to be relegated.
I commented this on an older video, man I really appreciate how you slowly and methodically explain everything. Me, with severe ADHD, this slow style really helps me focus and retain the info!!

I own a C3. I loved pump guns and the weirder they got the more I wanted them. The C3's propane system is really quite safe, propane only ignites at the correct fuel/air ratio and the combustion chamber only allows for a teeny amount of fuel. In my experience the biggest problem was getting reliable ignition as temperature and humidity changed. The spark ignition meant you often experienced a lag between pulling the trigger and getting the paintball downrange; not great when split-seconds matter.
I miss RP Scherer Marballizer and AllStars. Great thick fill you werent wiping, bit heavier so flew great, and the shells were brittle but tough enough, didnt swell, rarely barrel broke but easily broke on impact. Great stuff. That GAP scented paint was fun too 😂
One question that I have as an old guy who only uses paintball to chase possum and deer away from my wife's flowers and cat food is: Are the tanks interchangeable ...can a CO2 tank hold compressed air at some pressure, or, can a compressed air tank hold CO2 at some pressure? My rather low end gun uses 90g CO2 cartridges or compressed air, so there is an adapter. I don't see the compressed air tank I bought(and a cheap Chinese compressor to charge it) has any rating for CO2, but it seems that it could be a possibility.
I remember in woodsball we werent allowed to use full auto on tippman, yet we had to play against these guys lol shooting as fast as full auto ..huge disadvantage

Wow. I know this video is 3+ years old, but I am just finding it. Man, it takes me back! Free Flow and Pro Paintball are a piece of WNY history. They were the only shop around that would service my old Angel LCD back in 03 or so. Good times. Thanks for the nostalgia.
Well, what about the 43 cal, back in the 80s there was a revolver that shot 43 cal, but they only had oil base paint balls, I love it 8 shots, but faster than the Nelspot 007, and yes, I still have mine.
Oh it's been at least 30 years since I played PB. Much has happened since then. At the time automatic PB markers were not legal where I lived so it was pump action all the way. A friend had a .50 caliber revolver, but the balls were rock hard and almost never ruptured. The goto gun for most serious players were the Phantom. Personally I bought two guns. First a Razorback with the long barrel. It was pretty simple and very reliable. Then I bought a Line SI Bushmaster that had been used by a pretty highly ranked team in the UK before they switched to the Sterling. The Bushmaster were hot rodded all the way with LAPCO internals and was incredibly smooth. The most common mask used was a JC something. It had some problems as it tended to make you chew paint when hit in face so I got a Predator mask instead. It had better sight radius and would protect you from having to eat paint. Never competed, only played for fun in wood land matches. I stopped playing when most people started taking it much to serious for my idea of having fun. It may sound as only pump matches would have to be slow and simple, but some people could get about ten BPS out of a well decked out Phantom. I remember hiding behind a juniper when one of those figured out where I was. That juniper bent over more or less horizontally out of the cloud of balls hitting it and I was thoroughly drenched in paint. What exposed me was that an opposing player took cover a few meters from me behind a tree. I was totally exposed to him and yet he didn't notice and he was close enough that I felt bad about tagging him so I put a ball in his boot to his surprise. But the one then tagging me through the juniper was protecting their flag, and I was maybe ten meters from him when he saw what happened. Lots of fun memories but no chance of reviving the game. Brain damage last winter has me walking with a rollator. Taking that to the field would not be fun. At least not fun for me.
