Hey Brad, Actually, you CAN put any electric hopper on the A5/X7 but you need an adapter. Great video, I own a rental field in Romania/Europe and I'm going to change all my Tippmann guns with emek. All the very best!
I drove up to play at Extreme Paintball in modesto,Ca and they had tons of kids playing with emek rentals. The kids playing with Tippmanns were having bolt sticking issues and weren’t enjoying the game. While the kids playing with The emeks were having fun
So many things to look forward to with this pal system and emek. No damn batteries, super efficient on air, not bulky and heavy, and barely any paint to scratch
My local field, OSG Paintball (NH), upgraded their entire rental fleet of EMeks to the PAL system just this past week! The guns already shoot amazing and no doubt this loader will improve its ROF. Can't wait to try them out this spring! Come to OSG and check them out if you live in the North East!
And you see a lot of new players or scenario players run to Tippmanns right away, because the usual rental package has a 98 or Chronos or something, and the "upgrade package" is an A-5 or X7. Would be nice to see them be an Emek platform instead. People would enjoy it more because the marker isn't 10 pounds and a yard long, with an 8" bent barrel
I love your videos Brad and I'm very grateful you're back. I can't wait to get an Emek with a Pals hopper. If it works as well as I'm hoping, this may be the Marker I've been waiting for since 2000/2001, which is when I first started playing.
@@realshit6061 Yes, it (they) absolutely have. Disclaimer: I don't as much paintball as others do, just a few times a year. However, I have played with my Emek and my MG100 (Magfed Emek) about a dozen times or so and I have had ABSOLUTELY ZERO issues. They're light, sturdy, virtually maintenance free, and shoot really well. These are all reasons why more and more paintball fields are offering them as rentals, more and more seasoned players are using them regularly, and when it comes to Mechanical Paintball Marker Tournaments, they pretty much reign supreme.
Raises hand, Planet Eclipse fan boy here. Had an Etha 2... Sold it for dumb reasons... picked up an EMEK, 100% happy! Might pick up another Etha 2, but I'll keep my EMEK for if I want to take someone to go play with me. Trying to spread the "Paintball Bug."
Great video! You did a really good job explaining why the PAL exists but you forgot to mention one crucial thing. It's only $20. You mentioned you would rather use a Spire 3 (so would I and everyone else), however that is $200 and for this only being $20, it is a true steal.
Lol. I've never owned a PE marker, but after using one of these for a day I've recommended it countless times to friends and rental players at fields. I've never done that, which speaks volumes. This will definitely funnel business into their upper tier products over time. Smart.
I'm a bit of an idiot for mechanical stuff and I can't wait to get an Emek and Pals loader. I own WAAAAY too many markers but have only purchased one, my first one, brand new (Bruizer Outlaw). I would be proud for this to be my Second Brand new marker. I just wished it was American Made.
I work at paintball field and I can say, that's shit's amazing :D I'm going to buy one myself and I think that for renting, this is even better than 98
I'd like to see a comparison between the magazines. I already got rap4/ mcs and I keep hearing the new emek and others are going to take dye mags but from what I've seen their not continuous feed.
I will be interested in seeing how well the emek does. I bought a emek ,pops asa and pal hopper. To use this winter for winter ball. My main other marker for winter ball is a 2018 version gog enemy pro . I love that marker, for a mech I paid $250 but it came with a on/off asa and clamping feedneck and a freak barrel. Which I have heard the emek barrel sucks. Anyways the emek will be my first planet eclipse marker. I mostly own GI sportz Markers.
I feel like the game is slowing going back to its its roots (aside from competitive play). The technology seems to have plateaued as far as the electronics of the current markers. You can really only shoot so fast and so accurately. I stopped trying to chase the gear years ago. Kept my 09 pmr and my cci phantom
@@WhoIsSea. definitely. I see myself and others having way more fun with the mec and Magfed stuff. I think when people come to the fields and hear 10.5 bps they get turned off. Last weekend no one wanted to play with us because they assumed our markers were “pro” I had to pull out the spyder victor and tuck my jersey away to finally get in a game. I think I played 5 total games in 6 hours last Sunday.
I’m really struggling on making a purchasing decision. I have the Tippmann Cronus right now but haven’t fired it yet. I’ve been doing a ton of research and all I’ve been seeing is the Planet Eclipse Emek. Between the two, which has the best overall out of the box performance and is it enough of a difference to return the Cronus for the Emek??
I love mechanical markers. Although I've yet to own a Cronus, I have many Tippmanns (98s, A5s, Phenoms). They work great! How do they compare to the Emek? No comparison. The Emek is an incredible marker that has a lot of technology that's shared with "The Best" markers made. If you'd like a marker that's got great performance, light, easily cleaned and maintaimed, and is very affordable, I 100% suggest going with the Emek. In all the years I've been playing paintball I've been waiting for a marker like this to come along.
Glen J. Taylor thank you for all of your input. A strong part of me was stuck on the Milsim aspect of the Cronus but I quickly realized a custom paint job could do just the same. After a lot of consistent feedback and research all pointing towards the emek I made the decision to return the Cronus and purchase the Emek. Thanks again!
@@PaintballRuinedMyLife So which is the best Non-PAL gravity hopper? I thought the Virtue Base Gravity Loader is better than the Proto Primo, no? Or is there an even better one?
Honesty not sure. I have not used to the PAL hopper on a gun without a PAL enable gun. From the other testes I have done though the Primo would still feed better. Check this out, did some testing on the Primo, Base, Splitter, V-Lite and 100 Rd GOG - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Lcf2tidurLc.html
I think PALS is amazing but the issue could be that many sites are already established and as the market isn’t growing I can’t see many sites spending such a large amount of money replacing their whole fleets of Tippmanns or Spyder clones.
I never understood why you loader didn't buy the Indian springs 200 round Hopper design. Anyone that's played long enough to remember an Indian springs Hopper they had that little lower groove that ran for the back to the front that was big enough for paintballs to fall in so they were never going to be bogged down always had a smooth path right to the feeder.
Anyone have any insight to what speed feed would work? I read HK and another need a larger screw to fit the High cap version PAL and that the Virtue Crown Ultra soft fits perfect, can anyone confirm?
Tippman 98 9oz co2 empire helix mask (just cause I know the price) with thermal lense. Basically the players pack..... I second the craigslist or ebay.... I got a few 98s at a yard sale for 3$ with dye barrels. cleaned em up custom paint fade shoot like a champ.
d3fy vertex: $65 48/3000 tank: $40 Helix thermal: $30 empire splitter: $6 Thats basically the best you can get buying new Better off buying a good $100 mask and a barrel swab (to clean the barrel on your rental) and keep renting until you can afford something better than the rental gear
Glad you're back Brad. As for Planet Eclipse, meh. Not a fan of P.E. but I will give them credit for looking at offering more reliable low/mid range markers.
The PALS loader is nothing new, it's just a different take on the almost 20 year old Allen "Turbo Loader", it's proven tech and honestly I like P.E.'s take on it overall pretty simple very durable and given what we know of the Turbo Loader it will probably be just as fast / reliable than the old Revvies that Viewloader put out just without batteries. Overall it's a win.
Theres more problems with mags than a hopper. And for only having 19-20 paint on your mag is just a big no no Haha.. also mags are like 30-40 dollars ... that's a big no.
patents seem to ruin some of paintball EVERY hopper could be run by air instead of battery just need to make it like air tool instead of electric one which have ALOT tourx
Hey, no offense, love your channel, but you literally said the same thing twice about the pal hopper having the nub. Just sayin', it kinda makes the video boring.
