Really enjoying this series on Humble. I can hear the fatigue in your voice every time you have to unpack loot at your base. The automation you mentioned for the next video can't come too soon!
Build the trade rocket and trade your extra rods for tokens. Then you can buy the 3x3 habitat recipe, a fuse that boosts power output by 50% and all the other goodies. You're missing out on a great part of the development.
Even though there still seems to be a good chunk of exploring left to do, looks like it's back to the task of terraforming for a bit! The new models from the DLC's golden chests are pretty spiffy! :)
I went back out this morning to try to find the new crates and came up empty. Terraforming was already completed and everything unlocked. Already ran a handful of portal jumps as well so I just figured I was pretty much done. Guess not quite yet - time to go for a swim! Thanks for the video.
Nice series! Considering your questions on what is happening on the planet. Watersaturated soil that freezes expands. When it thaws out the surface will change.
You can sometimes find golden larvae In the same general area where you found the blue Serena larvae. You can put T3 miners for super alloy in that general area also.
Looks like there is a vine you can use to climb down to the lower area near where you start so you probably won't need to use the caves. Edit: Lol, you found it in the edit.
1 strategy people can use once you unlock teleporters is carry one in vehicle when on long runs, when full use teleporters, recall vehicle, unload, put vehicle in inventory, teleporters back out, drop vehicle and explore to hearts content.
Nice one. Could user that. I'm not sure how useful the teleporters are going to be in this one. Which is good because there isn't a lot of pulsar around.
Nice tip! I'm at 160 GTi, just started playing for the day. Cleaning up some compartments and loot scattered around, along exploring half done places. Unlocked T2 drones and lockers, so to ramp up my production and storage grid, roughly a floating rectangle (12x10 roughly) of lockers with 2 rows of auto-crafters at one edge ( dump storage in a row the other side, then the portal). Need quartz though.
Game is much harder at start than planet prime lot of scarcity in many resources, first cobalt, then food, then iridium resource in cave are limited until rockets, then cloth, then osmium etc etc but I like the difficulty spike
@@funsamgaming Food was my main issue, rest are pretty doable since can place down Living compartments to replenish O2. Fiddled too much at starter area, for then doing some longer exploring trips, where the chests had mostly no food. Should have done a bit larger search circle for chests. Along more oxygen devices so Food Grower unlocks as early as possible.

Still have the ore crushers, so won't be starting any new games. I thought they would have released a more finished product, with a storyline , more ships, more to do in the underground and atleast the same resource mechanics but guess not. Techtonica full release comes out in November.
@@surtrplays Indeed so much good stuff in the caves, need to go the second quartz location you found as need a bit more power before putting down a load of t2 miners
Once you start trying to produce rockets and drones, you will need a shit tonn of iridium rods. This can become a bit tedious, since in this DLC there's no dedicated ore extraction site for iridium
@@jaypeerobot3745 Oh yeah, of course. Uraninite. With ton of off-target products. After which I need to handle them. Send to separate chests. And make sure that all of the products (including dolomite, uranium, iron and all other stuff) will go to shredder if produced in excessive quantities (thus dedicating particular amount of drones on that). No thanks. I mean - I already did it. Still much less convenient than T3 precisesly on iridium ore.

Little disappointed with the add of chests and stuff to the DLC late, as a lot of players have completed it already. oh well. Also you can get Golden butterfly's on the beach as well... easy to see at night.
I suppose the downfall for me or just how I enjoy this game is that once you unlock Breathable air, theres not much else to keep you going. What I mean is, that there isnt the struggle as there was earlier in the game. It all becomes a little too easy but also, the grind ahead doesn't seem worth it for me and collecting effigies is great if I were 10 years old

I have had no issues at all and you are the only person I have heard of that is having issues. Maybe you should go to the game's Discord and report what you are going through.
@@bacare1971 lot of people post in real time, not jump cuts like Surtr does, there is room for both on You Tube, I am in similar place to Surtr but took 20hrs of footage to get there. Surtr way of doing videos will put him well ahead of most people posting, for You Tube that is needed sometimes to get views.
