Same here.. The Naptown (Indianapolis) scene in the late 90s early 00s was a DNB/Trip Hop scene.. I got to see AK1200, Diesel, and dara on a few occasions (but mainly AK)..

OH MY GOSH. FLAVOR PARTIES! My first party was a Flavor party with rabbit in the moon, dj rap, slick rick, and PM Dawn. What a freaking party!!! I totally agree with you the parties of old are never going to happen again. I am glad I was able to witness such feats of fun and love!!!

I remember my first Flavor Party in Charlotte, NC. Phantom 45 was what got me hooked on DNB and he was there. Man, if i could live out those days just one more time....

Ha, I work right across the street from the old Masquerade building now. Every morning when I go to pull into the parking garage I look over and think about all the mornings I came stumbling out of there at 6am wondering what the hell just happened. :)

22 years old when I went. One of the best sets ever.

I know this comment was 8 yrs ago but i used to go to Atl for almost every party and I came from Chattanooga. Atl in the late 90s was booming and had some great local jungle djs like Hazeus, Roger and Bobble to just name a few.

This mix got me into dnb back in 08. I was 12 or 13. My dad had gotten back from iraq and had this external hard drive that every one in his platoon would pass around and put music on. This mix was on it.

6 months ago I Moved from Philly to Miami (late by 8-10 years apparently ;-)) and good lord do they luv some Dub Step down here. Im a Hip Hop & D&B emcee so the tempos bit slow to spit over, and I personally can't listen to it for longer than an hr maybe 2. My minds open tho, there good kids too. I been going to parties since beginning of 94', & I haven't seen a vibe this positive since the scene started taking a $#¡T in 2005. So I guess their doin' somthin' right.

dude! was just in the old neighborhood yesteRDAY.... my wife and i were talking about how damn scary it was before... its all huge condo buldings now.... its used to be kinda scary haha.... that back room was weird... i know exactly the room your talking about.... you had to go thru the patio outside area... and yes! when they would have guys in that little room under the stair/roof!!!! so cool you did all that too.... Man that was so fun. i was there everyweeekend too... then it started getting a very diff vibe... they swittcged the security around and there was alot more gangstery dudes there.... thats when i stopped going... your talkin glike summer 2000 into 01?

haha yup... i know all about their inhouse thing... we used to sit up on the top deck there and they let us do whatever we wanted. wide open. thats crazy. we may have bumped into each other! i though i was a little tony montana there.... lol. mon-fri work and school friday the roll dealer lmao. fun... glad nothing bad happened. sorry to hear about your car. there were a few times i dont know how we made it across the bridge back home in one peice.... def had someone looking out for us then... i was 18-19 at the time.. used to leave out of there in NO shape to drive... wow. fun times though haha. does any of the old dnb still get you pumped? that was my style... never really liked anything other than that and when they had the jungle djs w the mc's rapping over it was really cool ...they did that in that little outside room your talking about if you remember

Fat tim the security gaurd bunch of shady people at the edge . Roll and k pits in the rooms with people sitting down . Other times opening up the strip club side room people partying . Cant forget the outside deck on summer nights also

@@Ovoborus1 oh wow! I saw them in PA. I can't remember the city because I was riding with friends. It was a HUGE party though. At an ice skating rink, lol. The jungle room was in the back and they even had an oxygen bar with massages in the back. The main room was the rink itself and it was nice to go out there and chill because it was nice and cold. They put a big giant carpet over the ice. The jungle room was HOT AND STICKY! Just like a DNB room should be. The room was ill from the first to the last track played. Hazeys and MVP sets from this night used to be up on Selekta- wish they would turn up online sometime. There were some issues with the power going out intermittently but it was such a sick party i don't think it bothered anyone too much. Heck it would be nice to hear damian, dara,and aks individual sets too.
