I'm starting to get less intimidated by franchise mode lol. I think I'll still do a run through on sandbox to test some of this out, but I'm finally understanding why even my sandbox zoos are always in the red lol. I never knew about square pathing until watching you! Making paths was a nightmare before!!

I'm a new player, just bought the "ultimate" bundle plus the Arid DLC during the summer sale on Steam earlier this month, and I'm just starting to come to become comfortable with building in this game. I played Zoo Tycoon many years ago, but mostly I come from a Sims background, where my favorite bit is building and decorating houses. Building is much more constrained in The Sims, so the freedom in PZ has been great fun but also a little overwhelming, to be honest. I've been poking around in franchise mode, but the online animal market is...well, it's something! So, I want to have a go at sandbox where I don't have to be cash-constrained and I don't have to research the building pieces and I can get whatever animals I want, including the modded ones I've downloaded, whenever I want them. Anyway, I have been watching several different RU-vidrs' stuff, but I feel like I vibe more with your style because I prefer a more modern look and grid layouts as opposed to the more organic look that other creators seem to prefer, so I've been binge-watching all that you've put out. I also appreciate your step-by-step tutorials. Speedbuilds are great, too, but when you're still learning what's what, they can also be a bit overwhelming. Thank you so much for taking the time to make your videos. For this one in particular, I didn't know that you could put pieces on the same grid as the entrance building, but now that I know, it makes so much sense. That tip alone with be very, very useful. :) PS: I'm also enjoying your new series. The entry gate was very inspiring and, again, a custom gate with guest spawners was something I didn't know you could do, and I definitely want to try my hand at it now. So, I hope you'll keep up the series.

Are the construction pieces in the first habitats here effected by the 'grade' level for animals or are they considered a 5 if concrete, 3 if wood still etc?

Howww do you have more stuff to build with?? Ive bought the whole exspation pack but i dont have much things to build in franchise how?
