diplex you have to use colony ships to capture asteroid mining and also always get nukes they are OP also when UNSC ships are "bombing" a plate they are actually sending down pelicans to retake the planet you can see pelicans launch out of the ship
hey diplex i have an idea what if you made a halo series and used sins of the prophet to simulate space battles and men of war halo mod to simulate battles planet side?
If you put the Sahara's (heavy prowler) cloak ability on autocast, together with the boarding party, you can just steal a lot of ships in enemy territory without losing yours. The only UNSC capital ability that can't be on autocast is the Sahara's nuclear mine field.
If you want to take over these non-planet-attached-asteroid-fields you need a colonyship with the ability to take them over. Idk how it works in the mod but in the vanilla your colonising fregatte can take those over with a seperate ability :)
This was great! Love halo! If you were to make a series for this in the near future you could even possibly use the drop ship feature and play out the world capture by using the winter contingency mod for MoWAS, it'd be a pretty sweet synergism of the two great games!
You need Phoenix class colony ships to retake the asteroids. You don't destroy them. The Phoenix class has an ability that you can select in order to do this.
Dude I recommend listenin to the books in audiobook form on RU-vid. They are so fucking good. I'd recommend starting with Fall of Reach or Contact: Harvest. One of the things I love about the Halo universe is how believable the technology and everything is, and the books go into that stuff in great detail
You can't destroy mining facilities in asteroid belts because those are Forerunner mining facilities, you can only capture them using the Phoenix Colony ship
its one little thing that bugged me when you mention the autumn class, the pillar of autumn was actually a halcyon class ship, the unsc after the human covenant war developed the autumn class as a similar design to the pillar of autumn, heavy armour. it was designed to take over not only from the halcyon class ships but also the marathon class ships as well
Also Diplex, I recommend you build the light carriers they do the most Mac gun damage out of the non capital ships, and for capital ships the Orion ships have the best Mac gun damage of all shops besides Infinity.
Also you're going to have to micro your fleets, because Covenant ships have shields and regular missiles, nukes and point defence systems of the UNSC cannot penetrate the shields easily. the only gun able to deal with the shields fast is the Mac Gun, so look for high mac gun damage on your ships and make sure the ships coordinate their Mac gun salvos on specific Covenant capital ships or the AI will cut through you like swiss cheese with a sword.
Diplex you dont need to research fleet supply to get more cap crews. Fleet supply research takes away a certain amount of income from you so the more you have the less money you make.
+Thegamingpirhana My momma was Stalins sister....Let me guess thats "cool" 2 right? Rreally now you are gonna comment cool to every comment you see?? LOL
if we combine this mod with the future halo war 2 .all halo warfares gonna be between our hands . play in this mod if we see a major battle for a planet .well just go to halo war 2 in pc and recreate it.
Can you build mobile medical/repair platforms? a well known one from the books is the Cradle. It drove in front of a Covenent plasma barrage to give the rest of the fleet more time to charge the MAC cannons. The UNSC won that battle...
I wonder if they will add in a different faction for the storm covenant also this mod makes me fucking giddy because I am a huge halo and halo lore fan
Diplex should play the default sins before he gets into a mod version of it. There are lot of basic mechanics that he has no understanding of. Still a good video, but would've benefited from some basic knowledge on how the game is played.
