I remember very well the bin bags full of clothing that kind neighbours left at our door, as they knew how skint we were. Mum had us put socks on our hands in winter, and Hillards shopping bags we put round our feet before we put our shoes on, once they went into holes. She made nettle soup when we were short on food, and she went without so we could eat. That's all pretty crappy, but she wouldn't allow victimhood, and would always teach us to be thankful. We tried, but school was pretty rough.

I've always voted Conservative but I couldn't this time. They have a massive (yet tiny) dud as a leader and haven't got the nouse to boot him out. The only way he could ever have become PM was by political chicanery by the Tory party. People don't like disloyalty and the way he slithered his way to the top job was real treachery. That the rest of the party can't see this obvious fact makes them unelectable. Despite what the polls are saying I think there may be a big shock coming for Labour too. I think people will either stay home, spoil their ballots or vote for independents or Reform to keep Starmer and the 'abstract' failure Rayner out of office..

when i see ed davey, i just see postoffice mess ups due to his having no moral fibre.

I love this show but I don’t necessarily agree with the comments in relation to that girls figure. She is probably in real life around a size 12. There are a lot of very unhealthy women who starve to be skinny or use medication, are full of Botox and lip fillerss and so on. Being a bit overweight does not make you unhealthy. The unrealistic expectation that people should be extremely slim with petite waists etc is unhealthy
