This is probably the most helpful video I've come across on RU-vid or any other social media site. I love the fact you listed the spacing of certain flowers. I didn't even know where to start on that. I watched this video 3 or 4 times just to take notes. I can't wait until you post more videos.
I am so happy that I found your video! I am starting a cut flower garden this year and I’ve been buying seeds like I’m a production farmer and i just have the area behind my garage 😂 i learned a lot from this video! I have talked to a business down the street they are going to let me put in a flowerbed behind their business. Hey, it’s flat and gets lots of sun. Anyways…Looking forward to your next video!
I have been watching youtube videos on flower gardening for about 4 months. Your videos are the most educational for me. I wish I would have found your channel the 4 months ago when I started watching. Always good information.
Do you use landscape fabric in all rows? Do you put structural materials to help plants stay upright ? Did you rototill rows or enrich your soil ? Do you fertilize
Very informative!! I have found that some seed packets do not necessarily give you a lot of information, with the exception of Johnny's seeds. They go well beyond the scope of information, giving the grower the confidence to succeed.
Another outstanding video. So happy I came across your channel. I had large cutting gardens when I lived in IL and absolutely loved them. Unfortunately, im in FL and trying to figure out if I should move back home to start a flower farm or tuff it out here in FL in this horrible heat. Lol, watching your channel only confirms I want to move back home.❤
This was the perfect starting point, 101 video that I’ve been looking for! Thank you for sharing your insight and starting at the very, very beginning for those of us just starting to learn. 🌸 💕 Also, shout out to another zone 5b! Hi from Wisconsin 💙
Great video! I am a fellow Michigander on the east side planning for my first cut flower garden next year. So happy to find your channel! Thank you! 🤗🌻🌸
Hey girls...so thrilled to have found you this morning!❤️🌻❤️. I am an avid vegetable gardener and have been for several years. My husband built my greenhouse about 7 years ago and I've been starting my vegetable seeds since then. I've always added in a few flowers for pollination, but last year was my first year for a really starting flower seeds in the greenhouse as well as direct sowing a few. I've found myself in a strange place this season because we sold our house and bought new property (meaning new greenhouse, new beds) but with that slow process I've been in a sort of holding pattern. Although, the new owners of my old house and greenhouse/gardens are newbies and we have been co-oping seed starting with me teaching him and him letting me use greenhouse space. Still yet... It has been an anxious time for me because I want to do all the things I typically do in MY time. Definitely finding myself in a waiting room So I have used that time for learning new things. Your video has been so inspiring and educational. I am taking notes and beginning to dream of my new farm and garden spaces to include lots of beautiful flowers. Best wishes on your best growing season yet!
Thanks so much for your kind comment, Melissa. I truly believe that things always work out for the better if we're patient enough to see it through. I can understand your anxiousness in this current season, but I'm hopeful that it will all work out in a wonderful way for you this year! Wishing you a good and abundant growing season!
Such great content! Thank you for sharing what are probably just your basics but is loads worth of info to someone looking for where to start ❤ keep up the great work 😊
I'm in zone 6a April 30- Oct. 15-20. My spring temp at night, after LFD isn't in the 60's until June. I've been planting out in May for years. I guess I'll start covering my plants at night .. I do notice plants grow better later in my garden.. That may be one reason why. 🤔
