As West Australian, Im not very eager to carry a higher or equal tax load, to pay other broke states with their policies and watch how laws destroy our left over and outdated Industrie. The stuff we have on the West coast is old but pays the bills. The laws implemented seam to have consequences, which is always the income taxpayers problem. As a private person and business owner, I have no plans to invest anymore. The opposite is true. The other Staates and particular Territories need to look at their own free standing funding and then live with just that. All I can see is that tax re-distribution functions like socialism. One is working, more then 2 a living in a lifestyle until they go broke or borrow money with a big mouth year after year, since I came here in 2004. 20 years and the country has become a place to question viability.
Wow, where was this Tony Abbott when he was Prime Minister?! I never heard him talk this strongly about keeping the government small and under control. I love it! This is what we need so badly right now!
Thoroughly agree wth your “ easy to understand “ plan Peter , but of course that is not on the agenda of either Labor or Liberal . I was always a great fan of Tony Abbott until I heard him , a few weeks ago , stating how we should be doing more for Ukraine - he failed to mention their corruption, their Nazis, nor the American and British influence and instigation of the war itself . I figured if he , Tony , was fair dinkum, he would know that Russia was on the high moral ground , so sadly I believe he is a typical politician, 99:9% of whom don’t have our interests at heart .
Politicians are elected...by the people... for the people. Politicians are elected to safeguard the democracy of the country. Politicians are elected to secure the borders and ensure the Laws of the Land are enforced. No part of any unelected organization should ever hold any authority...eg...WHO, WEF. OPEN BORDER GLOBALIST AGENDA. Politicians must never be allowed to force their own Agenda on the people that elected them into office.
Australia was truly a wonderful country to live in once upon a time. I hope all Australians wake up before it’s too late and not vote for the calibre of politicians that we have currently in government!
@@cpater5397 revolution, united we stand if enough people backed themselves and took their disapproval to the streets then maybe there's a chance to pull the arseholes into gear. You can see it happening all around the world right now

There’s a lot more to this man than meets the eye . He has always been determined to help Aussies black and white any race , but was regularly scoffed at by labor opposition . I have seen much of Tony over the years on tv etc. , he always has integrity , honesty and truth . What yu see is what you get . A true Aus patriotic leader🇦🇺
John Howard was elected back in power and was in Government for 11 years we had a surplus because the Government was saving and not spending I assume perhaps because of speculation regarding work choices where the media spread rumours that business people were sacking people and then re employing them at a lower pay rate, however no real physical evidence was produced by the media to support their claim as fact.
Most concise overview of Australian history Yes, Aussies are slowly waking up. My prayer is that many politicians & their backers would also take of the blinkers
Good speech Mr Abbott , and the words all represented under one flag truer words never spoken , This current wave of people trying to divide the country is utterly ridiculous. One people all together under one flag united , color of skin doesn’t matter.
We must undo the left wing public service and allies. Those being HR departments, and education departments of all states. Tony Abbott is absolutely correct in conveying the true intensions of the British when it comes to modern Australia. This is really what Australia is about. All under the Australian flag. 🇦🇺
I didn't care much about this man as our Australian prime minister but to be honest since he was kicked out of office, I have heard him in interviews and on podiums like he is now and Tony as made more sense then he did in office. Tony Abbott I now hold you in good regards and respect.
@@mikldude9376 ih compared to albo he's a saint. Bit he aint, his closet isnt clean and pretends to be Christian and said we could all work till we drop. A real sweetheart. Hes still a politician
Now THATS HOW A LEADER TALKS THATS A PERSON WITH PRIDE & Dignity A person with honour and a person to respect and be HONOURED to call out. a leader and RESPECT AS OUR LEADERS that is a LEADER that inspires and takes nothing less than what he aspires to be and. LEADER TO LOOK up to 🤝🤝🤝🤝👍👍👍👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The three treasures of Men, love, frugality and humility, which translate in love for country, a smaller government a humble government capable of admitting his own errors thus correct them; Once upon a time a wise man said an error doesn't translate into a mistake until we refuse to correct it. Nothing of the above is reflected by the actions of ours current government. Most of our current politicians wants more for themselves thus less for everyone else. It has to change, our electoral system needs to be simplified, Australians deserve the best man for the job on the job.
Everyone wants a slice of the heritage our forefathers built, and we're being told we aren't allowed to fight them for that slice, just let them have it.
@@Rexhunterj We need to start electing 'Patriots' who will enact legislation which specifies that if you come to this country & swear the Oath of Allegience to the Sovereign -- *_In Right of The Commonwealth of Australia_* -- whilst being inducted into Parliamentary Office ... & you then subsequently renege & start spruiking the - increasingly *_"woke radical-chic"_* - narrative, that "sovereignty was never ceded" & therefore this is a "stolen" continent ... three things automatically kick-in @ warp-speed: 1) You are charged with Treason 2) You are deported back to from whence you came 3) All the loot you've fraudulently appropriated from the Australian Taxpayer is recovered by seizing & liquidating your ill-gotten assets accumulated whilst holding Parliamentary Office ... preferably as you are being escorted by the Federal Police to your closest point of departure. No "Ifs" - No "buts" ....
He was the last "Australian" Prime Minister. Not a good one, nor a terrible one. Everyone since and a few before were all globalists, none of them had loyalty to this nation and what it stands for.
The trouble is you cannot take a politician or government at their word. I got brought up being told how things are, only to realize in time that all is not as we are told. You have to see for yourself how things are done or unfold and then compare what happens to what the say they want to happen and if you are not blind then you will see the two do not align.
Where have we gone so wrong? Australia was a wonderful country but has gone down the drain so far it has become unrecognizable. It is devastating. Unfortunately I do not have Mr. Abbots positive attitude that it can and will get better especially under our current government's leadership.
🩷 If Abbott was back, we could all relax and stop following politics every day in fear of them causing us more harm. Albo, Penny Wrong, Messy Thorpe and Payman all have to go!
I have listened to so many of your speeches and interviews Mr Abbott and it still blows me away that you never showed this side of you whilst you were Prime Minister.
Says the architect and implementor of "no jab, no play" and "no jab, no pay". Obedient lackey or second class citizen. That is what he DID DO to Australian children and families when he had power.
It was a ridiculous charades by Lydia Thorp, even if her claim to be speaking for indigenous people was genuine, and not a blatant attempt to gain recognition, before her (one term in the parliament) expires? Her mantra of “give us our land back” may have some technical veracity in the overall scheme of things, but in the big picture of human development it is an impossible nonsense…. Yes at first glance, to the - kumbaya - woke folk, it may have some credibility, but in practical terms it is nonsense…. If colonialism had never been a vital feature of human development, then how could the nations of the world come into being, even more, how could they have acquired the ‘know how skills’ of civilization that colonialism bestowed on their lives…. If Lydia Thorp really wanted to appreciate her understanding of the indigenous people, she claims to speak for, she would need to look no further that the forty thousand years they claimed to have occupied this land mass we call Australia, and ask how much progress did they make, in all that time…. while being free of colonialism…...? Yes, it’s a given that, no doubt, colonisation came at a cost in pain as have all the other advances that humanity has had to endure throughout history. However, if offered the choice, how many indigenes would choose to turn the clock back to the earlie existence, any more than would the other ex-colonised people on the planet…?.
This isn’t the Mr Abbot I knew. If you are now as chilled and as wise as this, stay as you are and come back into politics and I will vote for you as PM!
I disagree with Mr Abbott on a few things, however I respect him as a leader, a big contributor to Australian community and he loves Australia. I just wish he had the guts to tax the multinationals stealing our precious minerals Scott free. Regardless, he has vision. And he knows he always has room for improvement in himself with the values he preaches, good on him.🫡 🇦🇺
Isn’t it time for Australia to adopt the American convention of referring to former leaders as simply PM and their surname? When anyone says PM Abbott or PM Rudd, would anyone think “oh, are they the current PM?”
We’ll informed, we’ll educated, able to draw on historical facts…….this is what our schools should aspire to……instead of preaching doom and gloom to the future generations……unity is strength…….
Great speech Tony. I hope everyone of all political persuasions get behind what you have said. And that our media will also get behind it. Advance Australia Fair.
HEAR HEAR it's about time that our true history is once again taught in our schools Mr Abbott speaks the history that I and my parents were taught at school we also had lessons on our Constitution I'd like to see that back too Thank you Mr Abbott and ARC
You don't unite a country by filling it with people who don't understand or care about its culture. When politicians stop trying to change Australia to suit their masters in the WEF, maybe we can start working toward being united again.
We need a country run by businessmen and not politicians with ideologies that never get executed and then us Aussies suffering from their decisions. Get rid of the labour and bring back the liberals. We’ll see our economy recover not destroyed.
I lived in Australia for over 3 years. I never once felt there was a problem with government, nor did I hear about Australia's history in this way. That was in the 1960s. It's rather different now.
