I just return this box I ordered 3 models I got no one keep straight useless and with that those boxes are enourmous really not convenient

I'll tell you the issue with these TB's.....its the cost! Let's get real....these prices are ridiculous! I have a nice paying job and these are just too much! Who the heck has this kind of money? I guess its ok if they send them to you....but for the rest of the population....forget it...what a waste of money!

I bought a 3600 jig box that was on a very big sale (like 75% off, the dealer couldn't get a single one sold at retail). Gotta say it's alright, I ended up buying the other one he had left just to use the 3600 flex divider to make a discount 3600 flex, and in the jig box I used some leftover dividers I had to make a half skirted jig box with the bladed jig box rack, and the other half are regular jig head and bucktails that I organize with regular dividers.

Nearly 4K have watched this, maybe Plano will listen and make different size jig dividers. You can take a Plano EDGE Flex and convert it to a DEEP Weedless Jig Box, but it would be nice if Plano offered it that way too... The Plano StowAway inserts for Buzzbaits & Spinnerbaits fit these Jig Boxes too. There's a video on RU-vid showing a setup with them. 🍺🎣

Love the jig box but it sucks cause as you stated it pushes the weed guard down and then they look like trash and I hand tie all my jigs and most of them won’t fit in the box (hand tied). Maybe they’ll fix it in the future.

Really like mine for my thunder crickets, skipping jigs, swim jigs and pitching jigs. Doesn’t work for my football jigs. Happy with mine.

Ii agree with you 100%!! Bought one a few years ago and was disappointed, just sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Had an old spinnerbait box and they fit real nice. Question: On the Picasso which model do you use on the circuit board & carbon fiber board?? Stay Safe & God Bless!!!

Hey John, I have a video on the new blades, have you seen it? I picked up the carbon fiber in all the options which is 3 different head choices with the 2 new blades, but the circuit board is only available on the Pro head with both new blade styles.

@@MrJohnB-qs6dp They claim the original head has a wobble to it, but with the water color I fish most of the time it's hard to tell. The Pro has more of a tapered head which is supposed to be better around grass, but my lakes really don't have any grass in them so I can't say how much better they come through it. I'm gonna say I prefer the original, but only because I've been fishing it for years and feel really connected to that one when fishing it...if that makes sense. The Pro is solid though, it was built to compete with the Jack Hammer and is available in more options. You really can't go wrong either way. They both are available with the circuit shaker blade which is really fast with quick start up. I'd decide on what blade you want then see what options are available in it. Take care buddy! 👊

I switched to the old Plano Elite Spinnerbait box, which does a better job of holding chatterbaits than the Edge version, most likely due to to the lack of angled bracing that the Edge dividers have, so larger heads fit better and more flexible. Still not perfect, and to be honest I still think a basic 3700 is the better solution, but am going to try it our for a bit... TJ, wanted to ask, are you still used waterproof 3740's or soft plastics, or have you moved over to using the Edge 3700's? Have always been a "keep in bag" but am going to try boxes, so trying to decide which ones to buy. There is also the Bass Mafia caskets which are waterproof as well...

Yup, I still use the 3740's for soft plastics. I don't box my baits as much as I used to as I'm trying out other options just to give you guys more options, but my favorite way is still the boxes.

Nice dude, when i go fishing with friends i carry my stuff and if they have nothing, I make them carry my bookbag of tackle. If they say no, I buy them lunch and were good. So bank fishing or not, I find a way to bring tackle. Thats what friends are for.

I've got this jig box to base the model off of - how wide do you think the slots need to be (preferably in mm?) to fit your Picasso bladed jigs? I love the plano edge jig box but there is some jigs that just don't fit well. I noticed alot of wire tied or hand tied also don't fit they are loose and fall around some. The plano spinner bait box holds those better.

I have this Plano jig box and one of their spinnerbait boxes. Both hold the baits well and the nice thing is that you can write on the edge of the box what's in it and I still use a sharpie to mark each one when the lid is open. Great video and thanks for sharing!! :)

HELP! Do you have a vid on cleaning casting reels. I think I have dust in my bearings on my Curado DC. It sounds like there is dust in the bearings (grinding sound & irregular reeling) when I reel it in. No more letting relatives use my equipment.

Completely off topic to the video but is garlic a good scent for bass? I’m asking because I want to get some scent for my Zman plastics to soak up while they are in the bag. Also what coffee scents could I get to just add to the bag?

Yup, any garlic, craw, shad or even anise scent will work. As far as coffee scent I've only used the Strike King.

I use a Plano spinner bait box- the box has dividers with little grooves cut along the top where the spinnerbait arm goes- I clip the chatter bait between the blade and the head into these grooves- so the blade hangs on one side and the jig on the other. The only issue I've found so far are like the FX jigs by Picasso- the feathers are so long they hit the bottom of the box and bend over- and they start assuming that bent shape. Still looks great in the water though- the resistance pulls them out straight again as you retrieve it. The stealth blade has such a small gap between the head and the blade it's a tight fit- but it fits. Thunder crickets, jack hammers, Z-man customs, Zman Mini cb, Picasso shock blades, Picasso FX shock blades, and stealth blades all fit- don't know about anything else. As for this box- another thing they need is a 3600 size- us Kayak guys are allergic to the 3700 formats. They take up too much space- and there's not much to go around on a kayak. If they made a 3600 and fixed this issue by offering assorted sizes- I would jump on it.

kinda digging those boxes. I bought a ton of different boxes to try out and see what I like best. It's between the Plano Edge and the Buzbe boxes. I'm actually not a big fan of the Buzbes because there are some serious issues with those, but they're so friggin durable it almost makes up for the shortcomings. But they're God awful heavy. An empty Buzbe weighs as much as any other box loaded. Not good for bank fishing at all. That and their selling point of being modular is more of a hinderance. Those little trays will not stay in place. They come lose and fall out all the time. Been using the Gruv box for jigs but I haven't really been digging that much.

@@TackleJunky81 man if you like to carry a backpack full of boxes to bank fish you won't lol. Those are going to be my boat boxes. They're great boxes. Super well made and durable, they're just heavier. And thicker than a typical box too. Fit less of them in a bag. They just need to do something about the little lego feet on the trays. They don't stick in the box very well.

I’ve had mine for about a year, overall I’ve liked it but suffer from both of the issues you pointed out in the beginning of this video. My smaller jigs don’t fit, some of my chatter baits slide around and I’ve got bent fiber weed guards. Not sure if I’ll stick with it moving forward.

Love these boxes... I use the 3600 size for my backpack. The standard style however seems to be a bit small for some baits(ie..square bills). But the Flex boxes are killer!!! Fit just about anything!! And the terminal box.... they hit a homerun with those for sure.

I agree. I just stick with the edge flex version. I’m a bank angler and keep a small tackle bag so the edge flex allows me to adjust for all different lures. Two 3600s is all I need to keep a variety of different lure secure.

Definitely a good idea for sure. I ran into this same issue years ago with my spinnerbait box which is the Plano elite spinnerbait box. Differing heads would cause some to almost not work. The only thing keeping those spinnerbaits pinned was the little “hooks” the wire would slide into. For sure something I noticed when picking up the new edge box. Slightly deeper with those different sized dividers and it would be golden

Another great video, Jim. For the bare heads just add a skirt collar or your Picasso Underspin harness, it will act as a buffer between head, slots and hook shank. For the 1/2 oz. and up dressed jigs, you can just trim the plastic slots with a razor or Exacto knife to slightly widen the gap. That should work until Plano makes a more modular insert (if they do at all). Any way, Tight lines and keep it my my dude. Fish bump.

Almost bought one the other day. Glad I didn’t. Picasso is one of my favorite bladed jig brands. I actually came across the ultimate bladed jig/jig box at Academy and it’s easily the best out there.

It’s made by h2o Xpress it’s a high density foam with small hook slots to press the bend of the hook into. Can hold easily 50 baits and a few packs of trailers too. Definitely look into it. I wanna say it was $30.

I have this box myself for my bladed jigs/jigs and have been using it for over a year now. I agree with your review and I would like to see Plano redesign the “dividers” to accommodate different size bladed jigs/jigs and have those dividers available as a separate purchase option for those that already have the boxes with the original dividers. It is limited to what size heads and skirt lengths will fit snuggly in there and I did the EXACT same thing you did after I found out some of my bladed jigs/jigs would not fit and that was using a regular 3700 Plano Edge Series box for those. As for the other features, which are on all the Plano Edge Series boxes, I love how the lid can be opened and closed with one hand, the lid is very clear so I can see what’s in each box without having to open them and the moisture wicking packet that’s inside the small water wicking enclosure can by moved to other spots inside the box to allow for more room where needed. Also, those packets can be reused by “recharging” them. Just place them in the oven at 250 degrees for one hour. As usual, I always enjoy your reviews and appreciate your honesty in them.
