Plans change for the better when big trees come down 

Stopped when driving down the road when a massive pine tree fell and blocked it entirely. Huge ! like a 100 year old pine . So we went to plan B for our metal detecting relic hunting day in the woods. We hiked out to one of the same old cellar holes we always go to but did not expect to find as much as we did today. This old abandoned and deserted New England farm goes back to the 1700s and 1800s and there is always relics buried in the ground. The landscape history helps us see were the people farmed and lived with the miles of rock walls all over the places. We has some great finds today, coins, buttons, other farm and household items and a first. A really old heal plate ! Exploring these old colonial farms is always exciting and you never know what your going to find.
