In the 2nd part of this installation we install the unvented cylinders, explain how to mount ESYBOX onto the DAB ESYTANK and fill the system up. Will it leak?

Wow that is some lovely piping. I love naked copper pipes everywhere. Shine them up with some brasso. I am weird like that. People who paint copper pipes make me sad.

Nice job. As I understand it the way the cylinder hot water draw off is piped with both valves open ie using both cylinders the hot water will always come from the first cylinder as it’s piped the closest. They would need to be equally piped and the valves on top of the cylinders so the runs are equal.

Thanks 👍. Understand your logic , but the system is powered by a pump on a break tank so I don't believe it will make much of a difference. I will check it out and get back to you 👍

Great job as always - Having followed you down the Navien oil boiler route - thanks quite impressed better than Grant - could do with a tip off on the make of the high temp pump ? Also just on the twin cylinder and other comment on high gain cylinder - we use a normally open valve before the heating zones which we wire to cylinder call so the system becomes hot water priority as this valve shuts on cylinder call so all boiler output goes to the cylinder speeding up recovery so we can use a smaller cylinder and boiler is sized for hot water only (which is usually more than heating load anyway) so a smaller boiler also To coin a phase from Andrew Millward “hope that helps” (not that I’m at his tech ability level)

Thanks 👍 . I believe it is a "pump house " high temp pump. It's the same one on BES but don't get it from there it's overpriced. I would have considered hot water priority if it wasn't for the integration of two cylinders on the smart Navien system. It was a technical nightmare to get them both running simultaneously. Thanks for the comment .

Love your work! have you been looking at Cannock Mechanicals videos? he loves a temp/ pressure gauge and nicely spaced apart!☺ Keep it up. You deserve more subscribers!

Thank you . No not see it but I will take a look. Maybe I will start dancing on tik tok to boost the number up 😂👍

Would it not be easier to piggy back the second tank off the first, as if it's needed it will be when the first one is in high demand anyway and then just have a separate app programmer, nest etc stopping the switch live? That way both have to be in agreement for it to open the second zone valve but not the one on the primary cylinder.

It's a tricky one because we have to use the Navien wiring center to use the Navien smart features. The cyl stat uses low voltage. What we have done is use a separate programmer for the second cylinder. Trust me .....we tried numerous options. Thanks 👍

@@loving-plumbing Oh bummer, I'm not up to date on the Navien smart stuff but I was hoping you'd be able to ELV instead of LV for the second control. If I remember correctly the Nest will allow 24v in on the common and only needs 230v for the wifi receiver to be powered up and sending the 12v to the smart stat. If Navien is using their own voltage/digital impulse though similar to Vaillant it makes it a pain for the tanks. I find the same issue with HWP with Viessmann when using third party cylinders. If only there was a common standard already that was empowered by regulatory bodies.
