@@cadavher The AVERAGE veteran tree planter plants no more than 3000 trees a day. This is not to save the planet, this is for toilet paper and news papers. It's a job. Trimmers come in and chop everything that could compete with the trees, including trees already standing that don't produce good wood.

He gets paid for it, by the logging industry, so they can cut it down again. There is nothing beautiful about it

He isn't really changing the environment since the areas he's planting in are going to be recut for lumber anyway. They are also very flammable tree species. He's planting matches in matchboxes. I'm inspired by his efficiency though.

And if people did not have any more children for a while, that would also slow down the consumption of resources and thus speeding up recovery, which is why I recommend you don’t have any children ever because you don’t want to introduce him into a world where you’ve consume so many resources that climate change will be there future

He got paid. This was his job. And hes planting a forestry trees not longterm bio diverse forests. Nothing really lives in these forestries the ground is barren as no light gets past the unnaturally close tree canopy.

Just imagine if they dropped a whole bunch of trees over there in Africa, or somewhere where it was really needed and just a few of the people jumped in they could change the landscape very quickly

As a Forman of a tree planting crew,, I call that creamy ground,, man that’s so nice and flat, if my crew had that ground we’d wipe that out in a couple hours for sure, come to my neck of the woods and tell me you plant 2000 in a day 😂😂 well done young man but I challenge you and I’ll even pay you the 28c per tree, that’s definitely probably more than you get there, I just actually had a couple guy’s come from Vancouver island and they where astonished with the price per tree, can guarantee they’ll be back next season with their buddy’s to make me and themselves some good money

@@ppssppwwewwf anyone can plant trees 👍🏾 just have to get the trees planted properly, and some companies will not take a person if they can’t plant a certain amount of trees in a day, but I guarantee that we pay the best rate per tree planted, had a couple people from Vancouver island come to plant and they were extremely surprised by the price per tree, and the ground is decent for planting too. I always tell my planters that the more they can plant the higher their wage is, for example the older planter’s would only plant 5-700 trees,just to get over $100 a day, and others would do a minimum of 2000 trees per day

@@ppssppwwewwf that’s just sick if you ask me, companies like that don’t think about their employees and just want to make as much profit as possible, as for me I take care of my crew and make it as easy as possible for them to plant trees, other companies make them haul their trees in to their section and that makes for a long tired day, I bring the trees right to the area regardless if I can use a quad or even load 1200 trees on my back to bring to them, up steep hills and whatever else, heck their helping me so why not help them help me..

I don't know about that though. Planting a tree need more work than just digging a hole and putting a plant in it and run to the next hole in 3 seconds to make a RU-vid video and record. Foresting need lot of planning and different plant species because if you plant different species in case of one kind of plant catch disease or eaten by animals others survive.if you plant same kind all can die at the same time(happened in China when they try to re forest the desert) and have to take care of it at least 2 years until they can grow their own. If re foresting this much easy there will be no environmental activists 😅

That's how canadian forestry companies work. This guy is a legit treeplanter, legend. He got actually paid for those threes ,the fastest tree planters can plant 5000-6000 a days and I'm talking about the elites.

I am not sure how effective this is. I would bet at least 90% of the trees die woth on fove years. Also, instead of replacing non-native tree plantations with the same non-native trees it might be better to plant a wode variety of native trees for increased biodiversity.

Plantations of trees just grown as a crop are very poor for wildlife when compared to with a natural forest of many different species. Plantations are know as green deserts. We need to let natural forests grow again to bring back the biodiversity of insects, birds and mammals.

Shawdy tree planting is more agriculture than environmental they plant genetically identical saplings most of which don’t survive just to be clearcut again in 80 years for logging, it’s not making a healthy forest it’s making a crop of lumber Anton Moses isn’t an environmentalist he’s a good laborer lol

This is tree planting. Thousands of people do this in BC alone every summer. This one guy is not special. Heck, I’ve planted over a 100,000 trees myself (and that’s being conservative).
