We also planted a Hopa crabapple this winter, but haven’t released that video yet. Lots of new tree and plant highlights coming in the coming months!

Awesome! We hope to have the Ison’s visit video up soon. Too many projects and too little time to edit. What varieties of muscadine did you get? Western Ky, what zone is that?

I was out of zone 7 and right inside zone 6 but the most recent update of zones now has me in the upper part of zone 7. I'm trying about 9 varieties to see if any will be cold hardy enough to survive? Last year I only had one to make it through the winter and it had to come back from the roots. I don't know how this past years plants are yet? (Carlos, Noble, Lane) If anyone knows of any muscadines that are very cold hardy, I would appreciate the mention.

You brought up a great point about planning out where stuff goes. Especially thinking through what it will look like or shade once it’s fully grown. I’m liking this editable bed you’re making. Can’t wait to see the fuzzy kiwi planted. I know wish I bought me a couple while we were there.

Appreciate it, I’ll be honest, I didn’t get it drawn out, but I’ve got a good idea on where things are going. The kiwi and trellis are the next big design/hurdle. Especially adding the additional varieties.

@@DeanFamilyAcres I never draw out either but I reckon I should.

Planted 4 fruiting crabapples, every year we loose one and now they’re all gone. Maybe sometime in the future I’ll add some more but for now I need to focus on what thrived in my area.

Do you know what varieties they were? The two we’ve planted look good so far. We have had a hard time with traditional apples so your story is definitely relatable.

@@DeanFamilyAcres I think 3 of the 4 are Callaway. I have some luck with apples though I do not spray at all. I planted what thrives well in my area like Jonagold, Ein Shemer, Anna and Dorset. I have lots of fruits from all of them until the squirrels decides to harvest 3 days before optimal ripening. I have Fuji’s that barely get enough chill hours that fruited for 2 years now. I have a Black Arkansas and that needs more chill hours, so no fruit so far and Mutsu that’s too far from pollinators I think.
