My green peppers are doing great, they were pretty big when I bought them, and they have been in the ground a month now. My tomatoes are fantastic, we have had a ton of rain here in S.E. Michigan for the month of June, I have the heavy fabric down, I burnt 8 inch holes and planted everything that way. I had 200 feet of 4 inch edging left because I put the rock edging out front, so I made 1 foot rings out of it, I drilled 2 holes and zip tied them together, I put the rings over the plants, and I filled all of them with natural mulch, it works fantastic, hope your garden grows well, take care Kevin, nice to see Julie.

Hey Kevin, I’m sure you probably figured it out by now but those arrows on the black side of the pump is water flow direction.

Kevin, I have seen an issue with other gardens on RU-vid where straw and even compsted manure contain "carry over" herbicides used in the growing of the animal feed and or straw. It even carrys over in grass clippings. Somethin to research. Maybe try a different mulch on the new peppers.

My peppers are not doing so good this year either, my lettuce is ready to harvest though. Not sure what's going on with peppers. I've heard others having trouble too.

Might be too much acid in the dirt.

Why not just collect water off the roof of the chicken coup? Then it's already by the garden. This seems like a LOT of extra work? And chipmunks will go right through that fencing. Holes too large.

I am collecting it off the chicken coop roof. Just not enough rain.
