Exactly one year ago I began an experiment to choose the best type of plant to plant between the pavers of my hidden patio. I live in the mountains with extremes of temperatures with very hot summers and very cold winters so my plants were going to need to be able to deal with both of these scenarios. The 4 plants were: 1) Violets. 2) Campanula. 3) Moss Phlox (Phlox Subulata). 4) Creeping Mazus (Mazus Reptans). All 4 managed to survive through both the hot summers and the cold winters, but there is a clear winner.....
