Laura, your obelisks reminded me of my brother-in-law who was a welder. He made beautiful iron garden structures which he gifted to family and friends. He passed many years ago but, his creative works live on in our gardens. I love the choice of the obelisk for the roses. Have a great day!
That sounds so special. Perhaps Laura and Aaron will do a garden structures series this winter with photos from followers; if so I hope you will send in photos of these pieces. Would love to see them!
Thinking some of those brilliant sumacs need to be out on the new property out near the huge new oak They would really draw the eye with their brilliance 💛 and could ramble to their heart's content! ❤
Great video. I really like the new plants. The area around the pond looks so good. I love your pond. Sammatha Grace is a beauty and so cute, and Benjamin is so grown up and handsome. Have a blessed day everyone.
Good grief Laura , when Samantha was walking towards you on the path to the pond ...she reminded me so much of your Mum ...not just in looks but in other mannerisms as well. I suspect the sunnies , which were also reminiscent of your Mum's, helped the image , so fun ...thanks for sharing x
Oh my goodness, does anyone else see Susan when they see Samantha? It has just been these last couple of videos that I really noticed. Great planting today and great ending!
Good morning, Laura ☕️ I could follow you around ALL DAY. I just enjoy your style of gardening so much. I also prefer to hear the sounds of your drill than the dubbed in music but, that’s just me. My goodness does Samantha Grace look just like your mom! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
🍂Goid morning everyone. Laura, you have the “touch” with roses, well, everything you do. It is so heart warming to see Samantha Grace and Benjamin enjoying the evening walks and tone by the pond. I hope everyone has a wonderful day 🧡🌻🍁
Good morning everyone! Gorgeous plants! Love the obelisks! I would have put the roses on the arbor but I am sure Laura has something in mind! Susan's miniature 😍 so adorable with shades and all! What a beautiful evening ✨ for you all, beautiful family ❤ Have a blessed day everyone 🙏💜
Laura, do you ever just stop and pinch yourself? The beauty you guys have brought to your property is unbelievable. The light coming through the pathways and flower beds was magical. Those pink roses were beautiful and I hope you continue with a lot more of them there. Aaron’s beautiful green grass and then driving up the westside driveway was so pretty. Your gardens are what I hope heaven looks like. I am so grateful for your channel.🌹🍓🌸🌼🎃🌲☀️
Your children are adorable. I think your daughter looks like your Mom and seems to have the same fun personality. Benjamin seems to be following in your footsteps decorating and planting his choice of plantsI love your life. Thank you for sharing your love of gardening and your family. I love to garden but can’t do as much as I use to, age and Lyme disease. I truly enjoy watching your videos to see what inspires your creativity next. You have a gift and it is so nice you can share it with your husband. God bless you all☺️🌻
Love the roses being dotted here and there. So so pretty. Your artistic nature really shows in your garden. The pond area is so peaceful looking. Hello kiddos! 👋 ✌️
Hey Guys!!! I been following your channel when you first moved in to this beautiful home! But out of curiosity. I never see videos of Laura unboxing gifts from people all around the world anymore!!! Why not!!! I loved them!!!
Haha. I KNEW the bright blue fire glass would only be in for a minute! The more subtle black lava? stones are much more fitting in the space and more who Laura is.
Loved your video as always....as you walked through the arbour, I noticed the glint of the sun touching the spider web....one of the glories of nature too.....Samantha and her big words.....she's such a lil darling.....nice to see your whole family enjoying the paradise you're creating for the now, and future....Best always!!! 💞 from BC Zone 3A
Hi Laura and Aaron! The roses will be pretty where you placed them in the obelisks. I hope the pineapple lilies do well and the ground cover will be so pretty by the stones. It was nice seeing you two and Benjamin and Samantha at the pond and fire pit. Thank you so much for sharing!
Excellent time of day for filming! I thought your garden was prettier before and it is but wow, throw some low sunshine on it and it’s magical! And I just wanted to say I think of Benjamin every time you show those orange pink flowers by that blue blue spruce near the arbor! Those two plants look stunning together, and I love that we got to see Benjamin choose them!
How Beautiful Love this Video Everything is looking so great You and Arron work so hard We enjoy watching all your Beautiful Things you two do Pond is looking so pretty Kids are cute they looked so happy to be by the pond
All of your plantings are growing spectacularly!!! My faves are the roses and dahlias!! I was amazed how the wheat grew!! ❤❤❤ love seeing the kids excited and interested in everything!!! Love Samantha saying marshmallows are tasty!!😂❤❤❤😊
How glorious your property looks during the Golden Hour💛 By the pond looks like the perfect spot to rest, reflect, wind down and end the day together as a family. Such beautiful memories you are creating for your children ❤️
Laura, lavender wisteria would be beautiful on your arched arbor walkway. You could even have purple clematis on each of the four corners of the arbor. Seeing the pond and a hint of the sunset is a perfect ay to end the day!
I have grown pineapple lilies from bulbs for several years here in southern Wisconsin, zone 5a. At times they can winter over here. However, it works great to plant into a large ( lightweight pot) and bring into the basement for the winter. I don’t water and they wake up in the spring. The bulbs multiply also. I enjoyed your planting video. Enjoy your day!
Laura, I so appreciate your explanations as to why you plant things where you plant them...I know it's not perfect but really helpful to me to learn how to THINK about my garden.
Hi Laura, I grow the Pineapple Lilies in pots here in London and they really are a fun looking plant and flower when they come up in early summer. Native to Southern Africa their flower spikes are stunning with loads of star shaped flowers HOWEVER, be warned, they absolutely stink 😆. Don't plant anywhere near to where you'd sit. The insects absolutely love it. Once the flowers are pollinated they stop smelling and form these big bell shaped seed heads. The flower spikes sit up strong and dry perfectly in position for winter interest in the garden, whilst the lush foliage fades away. The bulb also multiples each year, so more flowers each summer. xx
O so cute Russel already waiting there at the pond entry. Those roses are so beautiful and the whole family as well thx for sharing them with us Laura.
Hello Laura and Aaron from Trinidad I'm Neil The videos have basically become a part of my morning routine before work starts and I wanted to say thank you I wanted to ask whatever happened to the weeping Lebanon Cedar and how's the rosella hibiscus coming along Also on you variegated hoya kerrii if it's just a rooted leaf it won't grow only cutting with nodes on it will grow , I remembered you were asking your mom about that when she helped clean up the plants on the shelves.
I started with a few plants around the pool and today have spread over half an acre. Someone told me about your site, "Right up your alley!" Wow! Your videos have given me new inspiration for more projects. I'm luck to live in middle TN (extremely rainy) and though I have extensive irrigation I used it for 10 days last year. I've completed a 10 x 10 x 10 cage for tomatoes and (after seeing this) am adding Morning Glories and French Melons - love the mix, your creativity and excitement.
Good morning Sweet Lady!! That rose looks like a dream cycle..Beautiful. lol Or im hungry for ice cream!!LOL Thanks for all the information you give us.. Have a wonderful day!!
Oh my Laura your gardens have come a long way in a short amount of time; they are stunning!! QUESTION: what do you use on your roses to keep the leaves from getting eaten by insects? My leaves are starting to look like lace! TIA.❤❤
I was planting my obelisk today l put some jasmine in mine can't wait to see your roses in your obelisk your gardens just so beautiful and inspiring to us all. Love your pond area. So beautiful with your new fire stone. Loved little Samantha Grace when she said she wanted marshmallows so cute.
Good morning ☀️ Another fun video from GA! I love the south garden, pond garden and Hartley greenhouse gardens so much! I wish I was as good as Laura is at garden design 👩🌾 So glad to see the family enjoying the pond every night, I knew you were going to LOVE it🥰
The Pineapple Lillie’s are so unusual! You’re plantings are all growing & really coming together. I’d be right by the pond. It’s wonderful to see how much your family is enjoying the pond. Ewe used to sit & watch the fish forever. Russell is precious waiting for you, just waiting for love. You’re so good to him. Samatha is really growing up; she’s so precious. Benjamin & Samatha both are.🤩
looks like the sumacs would make a great mid-height hedge between the trees in the new property to create great color backdrop and more privacy until the trees fill out more.
Laura, Samantha looked just like your Mom when they came walking out to the pond 😊 And you have such a beautiful garden space! And I know you work really hard, it certainly doesn't happen by itself! The pond is a great place to relax in the evening! You and your family are blessed!
Good morning. Those Pineapple Lilies look interesting. I just may have to order some. It is all lovely. The roses are gorgeous. Will you ever use the big arbor that Aaron does not like!? Maybe use it to create a fairy garden for the children? String it with fairy lights and an evergreen vine!
Hi Laura , It's been a while since I have seen your videos lately . Work related issue. But OMG, your garden..... breath taking and. Benjamin and Samantha they have grown . They look adorable. Can't wait to watch your videos .. see you soon
As always, everything is looking beautiful. What a way to end the day, family together by a fire, roasting marshmallows, listening to the sound of water. And there was Russell, following. Love your roses. An I agree about a drift of them to finish out the pathway.
how much fun to just find some plants you want and pop them around... i watch these videos with great interest, especially for the new varieties... i'm pretty much landlocked in my tiny garden but there's nothing that says i can't remove the stuff i'm tired of and put in new stuff!! love those lilies and the arbors look so nice in their own spaces! love that idea! the low growing shrub will look great by those rocks, too... don't forget to put in a few big rocks in the south garden... they will add a lot of interest (and the cats can sun themselves on them)... what a beautiful day you had here... love seeing those kiddoes come out for their nightcaps, lol... just perfect... 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
I don’t recall ever seeing your red point maples in their fall color. 🍁 Love all your videos! Btw, don’t ever feel like you shouldn’t video sharing your flowers! That’s a huge blessing to people and I for one love watching that❤️😊
Laura i love that little ground cover snuggled by the rocks on the pond pathway, been looking for something to snuggle a pathway, this might be the answer. Thank you so much for sharing!
Your property is coming along great!! You should totally make a coffee table book of your property's transformation. You should be totally proud!! For the walking path archway trellis, why not grow some passion flowers? It will add some nice texture to the area and a nice shade of purple that will play well with the blue spruces and peaches in the area.
I saw the pineapple lilies at the garden center too and planted some, praying they do well in in our Ohio zone 6 as well! I like the lava rock in the fire pit, more natural looking. Those Reminiscent roses are amazing!!!
Could we take a peek at the rose already growing in the obelisk? I'm wanting to place a couple climbing roses in my yard on obelisks but can't decide if they would look appropriate. Of course, my yard doesn't have all the other beautiful trees, shrubs, etc., so it might look a little strange without something else highlighting it, but I can always move them...thanks...
