Her grandfather was a farmer. Spraying thousands of gallons of toxins into the soil and ground water isn't farming. The well water in most farming communities in America is classified as unsafe for human consumption. Imagine what it's doing to the wildlife. Those poisons, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, and fertilizers will be in the water and streams for decades and generations.

There corn gets turned into fuel. It all goes to the ethanol plants in the area.

@@Bendejo-lm8wo And the by-product from the ethanol plant is high quality cattle feed. So it gets turned into beef eventually anyway.

@@PaulAnderson777 I would not say it is high quality. I don't care wither way, but cows are not meant to eat corn. Big corporations (cargill, conagra, hormel, etc, etc. ) use it to reduce costs and fatten up cattle fast and thus lower prices for consumers. BUt cows are not meant to eat corn.

Grant, At work we use the lift truck to pick up the seed shuttles over to top of our seed way and just pull the slide wide open. This is a lot faster and easier.

Currently, 26 countries including France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Russia, China, and India (19 of which are in the European Union (EU)) have partially or fully banned GMOs. Another 60 countries have significant restrictions on GMOs.Mar 22, 2023. 86 countries know their people would be better off hungry than eating that garbage.

Hi Laura! Happy seeding season! Ass this to your Spring & Fall maintenance schedule: Separate all electrical connectors (like the ones on your seed tubes) on your equipment and fill them with dielectric grease & put them back together. If the connector is full of grease there is no room for water to get in & corrode the connections.

Congrats on the 4 years!! I spent over 6 years in Iowa with my trucks back in the mid 70’s to ‘81 hauling beef and would talk to a few farmers when co-ops were getting popular. Between you and Zach l’ve gained so much knowledge when it comes to farming. Still waiting on some tips regarding grouse hunting!! 🤣😉. Be safe and sending much ❤️!

Congratulations on 4 years! Pepper reminds me of a cat I had years ago, that followed me around like a puppy while I worked. Just got back to our farm in Pennsylvania today after spending a couple of days visiting and picking up seed and a drill near you all. The Platte was high and silty and the fields were very wet from the recent storms but the weather was real nice while I was there. It was nice to see that part of our beautiful country again. Your seed loader is an amazing piece of kit. Takes the back break out of seed loading. Adding, you can get trowels with inch marking on them so you can measure depth and length quickly.

All I know is that planters have really changed since I used to plant, we had a six row planter with two hoppers for each row one for seed and one for fertilizer ,no GPS but I do enjoy watching the new equipment it amazing how smart the equipment is today. Thank you for your videos.

Rob O'neill uses a drywall trowel sideways. Looks like a cool idea! Modern planters are so accurate that finding corn should be easier. Still not used to seeing planters without markers.

Thank you for the extra work it takes to produce these videos in addition to your already long day. Had a crazy thought about the amount of work it would take to manually plant each seed in the ground if no machinery of any kind existed. No way in the world could it be done in time. Aaahhhg! Help!

Happiness on your 4 year's of bringing us along! I'm sure your grandfather is watching proudly from the forevermore fields. Both of you, generations cheering! No graphite because this seeds coated? The ""Planting Moon"" resting on the pivot was a great picture! Pepper? Kittens? Again??? Sorry, just stirring the pot. Once things settle down a bit, can we all take a ride in the Platte?
