Interesting to see 👍 For maize in clay soil they tend to use disc harrows with spring teeth to break up and level fields after ploughing in southern UK. What type of soil do you have if you haven't already answered that (I'm still working through your back catalogue!)

Laura, not to keep bugging you, but I have a question. When planting, how do you know which seed are going to be male plants vs female plants and how do you all load them into your planters and why do you do it that way? Many of us are curious and want to learn and you are a good teacher to us out here. This can be a topic for another video. Thanks! Also for dad, try silicone rubber wiper blades. They outlast ordinary ones by far.

Males and females are only important in a seed corn field, in your run-of-the-mill corn field, males and females don't matter. Every corn plant has both male and female parts, the tassel is the male, the ear is the female, it pollinates itself if left alone. The seed corn company tells you which seed to use for each, and you plant accordingly. The seed co wants the pollen from one variety (thus designated as "male") to pollenate the ears of the other variety, which is designated as female. The tassels are cut from the "females" so they won't put out any pollen, leaving the males to do the pollinating. After pollination, the males are cut down so they won't put on an ear, leaving only the females to grow an ear that's a hybrid with traits of both varieties. Hence the term "hybrid seed".

The Fendt at least has fender shrouds on the front wheels and ladder to keep from flinging mud all over the steps? Our John Deere front end loader at work leaks from the roof and door when it rains since it was a year old. They could have been designed with a better overhang so as to not rely on just the foam weatherstrip seals only to keep out the water. Also the roof is plastic and ours cracked during the first winter. Should not happen with a new loader that cost mid six figures?

I love Laura's cheerfulness as always! Brightened my day again with her smiles and laughs! LOVE IT! A happy Laura is great entertainment for many of us! I also love that she's discovered how to do the video magic tricks! BTW, Grant, the wire-like retainer with the looped end and the other is bent when installed is a "cotter pin" and the hair pin ones are are called "hitch pins" and those pliers are called Channel Locks. Tim Allen would have winced at that? LOL! This is good to know the names of these when you have to go to the parts store for more. You did a great job in improvising in the field to get 'er fixed without running all the way back to the shop! Using whatever you can find right there is the farmer's way! Necessity and lack of supply is the creator of invention and improvisation! Cale is a shrewd guy, always carefully looking at the implements and all equipment to make sure that it's all good before letting it go out to the fields to work. Saves a lot of risk of expensive damage.
