Today is a beautiful day here and the weather is finally starting to cool down. So, it's time to get my garlic and fall carrots planted. If you've had trouble growing either of these, I go over how to plant them, things to make in mind, and a trick or two for each on planting them. Hope this video helps you, if you need it.

I am going to be planting some garlic as well. I purchased some bulbs yesterday for cooking but will be planting some of them along with carrots. Good luck to all gardeners out there in the upcoming season! ❤❤❤

I am planting carrots for the first time this week, and my fall garlic has been pre-ordered since the spring. As soon as the garlic gets here, I plan on planting it along with a bed or two of onions.

Great video! Planted more carrots and garlic this week as well. Have an idea for your hanging strawberry bed. In the late fall and early spring radishes and lettuce do great n my moms. She tried to make herb beds with hers. Didn’t work out! So she lets them sit dormant covered with mulch in the other seasons. Keep shining bright! God Bless

Hi, it’s a beautiful day here in Southern California. I have never planted purple carrots until this morning. I plan to put in the orange ones later this week last year we had a great harvest. I put in radishes, snow peas, and a few bush beans too. Gardening makes me happy 😊 I hope your carrots do well for you.

I had decided that I was going to take a year off from growing garlic. I’ve tried and failed for the past 4 years 🙄. However.. 2 metal raised beds 8x4, and common grounds fair yesterday… I now have nearly 1.5 lbs (7 large-xl bulbs) from a garlic farmer here in Maine.. and I’m giving garlic another grow this year. Thanks for the guide. I going to use a good compost, bone meal and blood meal (per my seed source 😊) setting a date for mid October for planting day! I’m in 5b/6a. I also have about a dozen elephant garlic to plant.. forgot to plant them last year, they’ve been hanging out in my fridge.. look and feel healthy so I’ve got nothing to loose! Semper Fi ❤

@ruthannecoro6198 Semper Fi, and good luck. I can only imagine how cold it gets up there, so I'd add a good thinknlayer of compost or mulch to help them survive the winter. 🤔💯

@Southern195 I'd plant now, if you can. Garlic takes about 9 months to fully mature.

I planted the same carrots (the purple one’s) this summer and they were good. Also from Baker Creek. My garlic didn’t grow. Might try again.

I planted carrots in the spring, they didn’t do much of anything! I babied them all thru the summer some fertilizing and extra water but still not much growth. Then we had those rains about 3 weeks ago and some cooler temps and the carrots are growing! At least the tops! 😂 I’ve pulled a couple and they’ve all been fairly small still. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Last year was better, but idk why 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’ll have to go watch your carrot video.

I do what you describe with garlic , except I buy from my local grocer, here it's HEB. Baker Creek will ask 3x the amount for what you can find at the grocer. Garlic is garlic bro. Thanks for the links! Love your channel.
