Hey Everyone,
I hope you enjoy this video, as I go over one of the ways I enjoy planting sweet peas for maximum impact in the late spring and early summer garden. Sweet peas are much tougher against cold temperatures than we give them credit for, and for that reason I am not afraid to plant seeds directly outside in the early spring. Stay tuned for more Sweet Pea content, and follow along as I continue to sow more seeds, and help my garden wake up for the season!

I've never tried growing sweet peas, but after watching your video Samantha, I am definitely inspired! Love the natural look of your obelisk. I've priced the willow ones and would much prefer to save money and create my own. Thank you for sharing your tutorial with us. P.S. I was browsing West Elm's website and noticed their collaboration with Heather Taylor Home. I immediately thought of you! There was a lot of fun textiles on sale. Just thought I'd share!! I hope you give them a go! They are so worth it, they give so much back in fragrance and flower power! You should definitely try to make an obelisk too! I do love the HTH and West Elm collaboration, good find!!

Love your whimsical obelisks and your gardening ideas. On another note your steps seem to be an accident waiting to happen. Check your local building codes for the proper rise. Those are way too high. Just some constructive feedback.

Great video I love the home made obelisks. Did you experience any problems with wind taking the obelisk and making it fall or get damaged?

Thanks for sharing, Samantha! I don't grow sweet peas, but perhaps I will someday! I'm always curious about their fragrance-- I don't think I've ever smelled one before (B&BWBody spray doesn't count, ha!) Have you moved your Ash Wednesday climbing rose in the ground? and the Stephen Rulo rose? How did they winter over in pots for you? Have a great rest of your weekend!

Hi Courtney, I love the smell of sweet peas, they are such a special flower. Ash Wednesday and Stephen Rulo are both looking good. I’ll be sure to include them in my next vlog! They have both over wintered in their pots in my garage.
