Oh Laura, this is my lucky day. Not one, but 2 incredible videos on a Saturday! The colour blocking looks so impactful and stunning. That lawn area is so perfect for a blanket and picnic basket. I often had picnics with my three kids. They still talk about the happiness they experienced.

That Clematis is AMAZING! Oh my GOODNESS, that is a perfect addition to the color palette! I would just want to put a bench across from that area and read a book with a great cup of coffee where I could occasionally glance over the its beauty to admire it.

Honestly, I'm loving the shorter videos! And multiplying them over the course of the day is just fine 🙂 This time of year it's difficult to sit through a long video as I have a lot to do outside, as well as get work done inside. Sometimes I fast forward during the longer videos in order to cut time off, so these short ones are perfect.

I just ordered the clematis. I've been wanting to plant one outside my kitchen window and this one is stunning. Instead of looking at a brick wall, this will be gorgeous. Now to buy or make something for it to climb on.

I’m looking at my videos and I see another surprise from Garden Answer. I must have hit the jackpot. I love it. I was going to work outside today, but it’s really windy and we have a lot of older trees that are always loosing dead limbs. I don’t work out there when it really windy. You wouldn’t believe how many big limbs I’ve picked up out of my flower beds this spring lately. So I will just enjoy watching Laura work in her garden and stay safe for today. There’s always tomorrow.

Laura, you mentioned wanting maybe a grassy texture over behind the salvia you planted… a while ago you mentioned you needed to divide your miscanthus cabaret from up front of the house. Could you put some of it there? Or I’ve even had the thought in the south garden where you want to fill by the berry beds and make the secret garden…? You could divide plants from the established garden around the house when they get too big or need to be divided and/or just some breathing room, and put them in them out there! Beautiful as always! Thanks for continuing to inspire 🌻🌿🌱🌺🌸

I remember this area when you first moved. It was lawn with an open, white fence (I believe). The trees look fantastic. I'm interested in how it fills in because I never understood the purpose of the walkway unless it was for business purposes.

Love the look of your gardens and that clematis is gorgeous!! As suggestion I think a little space in front of your urns in your garden would look nice sort of to rest your eye and then you have another island of color and then that way you don't have anything blocking those beautiful urns. Let them shine on their own! 👍🌺🙂😎

💜💚 I just planted the president clematis and a pink one!!! I love them!! President is a deep purple!! You got yourself a super clematis 😁 dang and no I have not seen one that huge in its own container. The flowers even find you!!! Salvia is a good one, I just have 3 of them in both colors!

Actually for winter interest you should plant a lot of grasses, they'll keep their shape. Also, many flower stalks are stunning in winter. Echinacea, eupatorium, echinops, eryngium, etc... But yeah, ornamental grasses. You should try it.
