If you spray 4 coats of plastic dip..and spray plastic clear coat after..it will look great and won't chip off...you can later remove it with a heat gun if you decide to do it...I learned this from a plastic dip rep that used to sell it to my shop..
Nice, turned out real good! I have debaged mine with the exception of the Hemi logo and Rams head. Thinking I may dip the Rams head now after watching this.
I'm just confused as to how it breaks away so easily on paint but not the plastic I want to try this so bad but im nervous to rey it....can you build mt confidence a bit and explain to me how this happems?.....does it cure to the plastic but not metal?.....im having a hard time trusting this process and spraying it on mt paint.....or have it pull off the plastic......and is there a gloss black available?
I took all my badges off except the big Ram emblem on the tailgate for obvious reasons. I think I’m going to hit it up with some night shade. If it looks like ass, gonna try the plastidip.
I jus got a 2021 Ram 1500 hemi etorque lonestar wit 18" borin rims. To much chrome on a Billet silver metalic clear coat. Im searchin for inexpensive after market wheel well fender flares
How long did this last for? any cracks or did it come off at all? Obviously its plasti dip so I'm not expecting it to be perfect but just wanted to know your experiences... For anyone that has done this or something similar
Looking fresh..My 17 Ram has all the blacked out emblems. Also any good suggestions on me swapping my factory halogen lights for something brighter still on the fence as I don't know what to get. I have the halo type lenses
Why don't you just take the badges and such off would look better than them being black.... your truck your choice but black out is not my idea of a good look...only works on a black paint job...
@@BoostedMotorsports I Know Jon but I am old I like the chrome not so much the black.... everything is a blur when it is black...times are changing and some things are hard to let go of I am sure I'll get use to it at some point cut me a break bud I was born in late 60s...... 🤣 But I am still building my Hellkota 😈
man... i have a white ram. i'd be so afraid of overspray floating onto other parts of the vehicle even with tape and paper around the area being painted
