Plasti-dip Ford Edge 

It might be easier for you to jack it up. A lot of people take the wheels off their car and do it that way. I didn't have jacks, so this was my solution. Do whatever way is best for you. As for my emblem, I didn't give it much thought actually. Just sprayed it over.

Thank you very much! I love my DTBLs. When I dipped my grill I removed the inserts. I had a few holidays after I reinstalled them, so I tapped the inserts off to hit the spots I missed. Tapping off the inserts or removing them will take about the same amount of time. Removing them will give you a much more finished look. I recommend you remove them, just be prepared to put a little more work into it.

No, it was imported from the US. The engine is V6 285HP, if I remember correctly. It is a 2011 Ford Edge.

@@prestonroyce Thanks, I have the same SUV in the US and was thinking of taking it back to Europe but worried about parts availability since not sold there. Importing them gets expensive. It shares a platform with Mazda CX9, which I don't know if sold in Europe either.

@@nas0075 Absolutely! I had the Edge shipped from the factory to Germany and I was able to get it serviced and repaired at a local Ford dealership. They needed to have parts shipped from the US, so it took about a week longer to get my repairs done but that wasn't bad. There wasn't anything I couldn't have done on the car, that I can remember.

I had the dip on there for 2 years. it faded a little bit but not after a few months. It is rubber, not paint.

These tires were P245/60 R18s.

YES!!! The plastic cover does pry off, and you will have a much better wheel and surface to paint. Do not plasti dip, use a matte paint if that's the look you want. Prying off the plastic cover is not as simple as it sounds. This will entail actually taking wheel off car, and tire off wheel. There is also a lot of adhesive to contend with. I recommend a soda blast to prep for paint. Once you have the plastic cover off, and are ready to soda blast, take note of the square shaped holes where the spokes meet to the outer edge of wheel. They will most likely be filled with dirt. The packed in dirt and road grime can put each tire out of balance. Do the best job you can. Its so much less expensive to recondition your wheels as wish. I never understood the fascination with plasti dip, or hack jobs.

I believe I used about 5 cans for all the wheels combined. So just over 1 per wheel. I put a lot of coats on though. You can probably use less than one can on each wheel if you want. But since PD is so inexpensive, it's not really a big deal.

I used to have custom headlights from a company I dont remember. I would not recommend that company as they did not honor their warranty and ended up stealing 100 bucks from me.
