We are trying to be plastic free in the uk , but I thought I would put my balled-up socks in one and hang it in my clothes cupboard. All my socks are black or grey so that would work for me I think.

I just hunted this morning as we have been using grocery pickup since beginning of Covid-19. We reuse our plastic bags for cat litter disposal and lining smaller trash cans in the house. I was tired of bags stuffed under the sink. Love this pattern and am going to make some for friends too. Thanks for the great tutorial, so easy to follow.

I think it would also make a good drink bottle bag with a long strap as a handle😊 Or a reusable cloth dispenser. I started to make one after work last night and now I am awake early before work to do some more on it while I am in the rhythm of the repeating pattern. You are a great instructor😊

We recycle our plastic bags as lil trashcan liners and to empty litter boxes so these will look cute hanging above them!!

Yay! I really needed this! oddly enough, my State is not allowing retailers to use plastic bags come the next year. They are coming up with something that the public is going to be forced to buy whenever they make a purchase in a store and their items are bagged. I live in the state with the most taxes and I marvel at the way they managed to come up with new ways to tax us. LOL But I honestly use plastic bags to line my smaller garbage cans that we use in bedrooms and bathroom. And then with me being chronically ill I usually have one hanging up on the handle that adjusts my tension Pole by my bed. So I'm really going to be at a loss when they outlaw them here. But I still want to make a holder until all the plastic bags are going out of circulation I will certainly get a ton of use out of it!

Hey Mrs. InStitches, I tried using a stretchy ponytail holder to start mine off and it works great. A little more functional. 40 double crochets around the ponytail holder and everything else the same. This is a great tutorial, very easy to follow. I love the ones I made.

I can sure use this! I store my plastic bags in a plastic bag lol! Thank you! I haven’t seen any tutorials to make this, this is great! At the intro is someone playing the piano? Sounds good. Brought back a memory of my grandmother playing the piano! She was a good player! God Rest her soul! I still miss her. I was very fortunate that she passed when I was 38 yrs old! 🙏😻🧶

Gonna try these after work....provided i have mobile data left to view the video again. Will give me something to do....storms caused a city wide black out saturday morning. Hi Jayda, I have a request.... this project reminded me of something I’ve been needing.... A yarn skein DISPENSER. I like to crochet by pulling from the center of the skein but the outer strand flops around and gets tangled up at times. I’ve been simply putting the skein in a grocery bag with a small opening at the top. I even weight it down. So, could you do a tutorial on how to make a skein holder for center pull preference crocheters? 🧶

I love it Jayda but where i am we have gone plastic bag free so i only use reusable canvas bags for groceries and produce. I really hate plastic bags 😣 and seeing what they do to the environment. Perhaps i could use this for another purpose thanks Jayda

Hi Lindsey, I've tried this with different sized bags, so if you're using compostable bags for your garbage, recycling (or possibly picking up after your pets!) you can stuff them into this too :)

I have been making bag holders. I wanted to try this pattern because I liked the look of it. However, I did not like the chain 5 spaces because I thought they were too large. I went to 32 stitches and made chain 4 spaces still ending with 8 chain spaces. Good pattern. Jayda should go buy a nice plastic yarn holder,

The hubby had a suggestion to maybe help your live stream squirrel problem. 😂 He maybe for the time being to put jayda against a plain background (like a plain wall) and where simple clothes (like a solid t-shirt or the like) and it may help with the pixelation because it's less for the camera and stream to try to process and render. He also suggested steaming during low traffic times but we all know how easy that is to accomplish with a busy life. 😂 Hope that helps.

My family and I accumulate a lot of produce bags from the market which we use for picking up cat litter. We had them stashed in different areas but the dispenser you helped me create arranged them all in one place and with ease- thank you!

I try to make good use of my plastic bags. Newspaper bags are perfect for picking up dog poop (we have a chihuahua!). I save excess plastic bags and take them to Walmart to be recycled.

Thank you for a great pattern and excellent tutorial. I'm on my second one. Just love the handles. And we don't need a ponytail thingy. I think they're wonderful and I want one hanging on the 🚪 handle wherever there's a 🗑 in my 🏠.
