I love my easy to use do-it ejector ! I use leather gloves and I bought $12 welders apron at harbor freight, cut the pockets out double wrapped leather around ejector takes care of hot temp! Hold on side of ejector head push slowly while wearing leather gloves. I super glue two layers of leather pockets to ejector! I also wear the apron who needs pockets!
Awesome video, was gonna try a sketchy $20 amazon do-it style injector, but decided to check RU-vid first for some reviews. Gonna go with the lure craft.
Not to mention that on the Do-It Injector, the screw on the back randomly comes loose and dumps scolding hot plastisol all over you if you don't stay on top of it. The screw loosens on its own over time.
I heat my injectors i dont understand that issue plastic cools to quick in my n2 injector gloves should just be worn regardless of brand but i do like my locking tips on my n2
Just the video I was hoping to find thanks for doing this. I purchased a 2 oz lurecraft yesterday and it's on its way I've never used the lurecraft injectors before but wanted one small for small jobs. I wanted something smaller than 4 oz and I found that lurecraft has that 2 oz so hopefully it's perfect for what I'm thinking. Now how big like in diameter is the lurecraft 2 oz would it be more comparable around to the do it or the bass tackle? I have a do it 4 oz and a bass tackle 4 oz and to be honest I use the do it one like 99.9% of the time I do hate how the nozzle comes off on it I agree it should have been made with a locking pin but honestly it was my first injector and it's just more better for me.
So the 2oz is just like the other injectors lurecraft sells. Same diameter and nozzle as the video just smaller. I never use my do-it mold injectors, they frustrate and burn me, lol
Hey Bill! So I use it mostly to get the moisture and air bubbles out of the plastic. You can also use it to degas resin / silicone for making molds as well. I think I bought mine on ebay.
Do you get plastic inside the chamber or does the oil keep the plastic from going back inside the chamber. Or do you have to take it apart and clean out the chamber each time? I've never pour plastic yet..Newbe question....here
